Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

To be honest guys, I should have put 30+ b/c I don't really remember how many years it went! LOL

I know I started as a 27 year old Coach. I was in my 60's when I retired. Heck, it might have been 40 years! This game is such a blast!

I wouldn't even need much to change...just update the graphics and make a few adjustments to player movements. Still the most complete sports game ever!

Well I've been grinding out and simulating some games with UTSA squad today and man has it been a BLAST! This season was way better then last as we once again ran the table in our conference and only suffered losses to Mississippi State, Texas, and LSU. We finished out 27-3 I think and entered the tourney with a #7 seed. Our first game we took it to #10 Syracuse and picked up a 73-63 victory. In the round of 32 we took on a great Providence team that was a 91 overall and seeded 2nd. We managed to hang around in the first and then blow the doors off of Providence in the final 10 minutes to pick up an easy 111-93 victory. It was a shootout from start to finish as we went three for three up and down the court. I had 2 players with 20 points and 1 with 30 when it was all said and done. Now we're facing off against I think #3 Oklahoma State in the Sweet Sixteen and if we pick up the win I don't know if I'll want to leave UTSA next year. That was the plan, but everything is falling into place.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I'm a casual college b-ball fan, so I started an open Legacy with Kentucky. CH2K Classic game vs UConn, I've been clanking 3s all game long, not one make. 77-80, about. I've subsituted my 3pt lineup and I finally get a 3 with Jon Hood (who I just realized should be RS'd haha), then force a UConn turnover with 3.6 seconds left, but I've still got to bring it up court. I inbound to Julius Mays quickly get up half court, shoot it and it splashes through right at the buzzer. This game is great, I should've gotten it a long time ago.

Welp. I'm currently on season 19, on the ps3. I was going to finally start a new legacy once I reach/and or complete my 20th season.

You get 40 on PS3 too, I think the "swan song" message comes up in 2046-47, I get there a lot when I get sim happy.

Speaking of which, my hoopcast sim legacy is going well. I'm in year 4 at Texas Southern. Career record 63-43. Each years recruiting class is better than the last, I even have 3 freshman starting, including a 77 overall 3 star SG that totally fell under the radar. I didn't start recruiting him until near the end of the regular season recruiting period because I already had my targeted SG, but at the last minute Texas A&M swooped in and made an offer. Good thing they did, this other kid is a stud, love when it works out like that.

I've started a new closed career with South Dakota St.

My strategy has been to run and gun. Bring the tempo up to 100%, full-court press always, try to trap the primary ballhandler in the backcourt.

My only real opponent, Minnesota, crushed me by 30. I believe I'm 15-5 right now, had a ton of close games though. I put all of my coach points on recruiting, so hopefully that can help turn things around quicker.

I love this game, been playing it since the first day it came out.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I have a career legacy going with UCA (Central Arkansas) playing most of my games 15 min/All Conference sliders . Finished my first year 13 - 13 and missed my conference tourney by a game as I finished with only 5 conference wins that season. Had 3 scholly's available and picked up a 3* PF and 2* C 2* PF. Only had 1 point to improve my coach first year, we were rated 65.

Season 2 is underway, currently 9 - 10 (3-2), won a non conference tourney early in the year and got my biggest win yet in my coach's career against a 84ovr Texas Tech team in that tourney.... then lost to Alabama A&M ( 1-14) a week later lol . 68 Ovr this year and hopefully I can get a good seed in the conference tourney or atleast make some noise. I love how the announcers say my 3* PF name Le--nnyy Du--preee lol.

Wish I could post my legacy on the "Basketball Dynasty" forum but I think it will be too time consuming but idk yet.

You can do it! Small little updates for each game, such as this, work just as well as bigger updates. It's all about what you're willing to do. You don't have to create massive updates after every single game.

Might just start one later today , actually playing a conference game against Texas St right now. Thanks for the idea , short and simple lol .

I don't know if that's a good thing or not just yet, we'll see. Rated 87 overall, and talent wise I'm the top team in the WCC, so hopefully the Zags will be back in the tourney this season.
Had a very good year in my 7th season at Gonzaga. After that abysmal 17-13 record and a loss in the opening round of the NIT, we went 30-7, winning the regular season and conference championships.

My 4-star freshman center, Christiano Gunn, had a solid campaign, scoring 12.8 points and grabbing about 8 rebounds a game to lead a very balanced team that had 3 or 4 guys averaging more than 10 points a game. We made the tournament as a 2 seed.

Won my first game against a scrub 15 seed, then ran into a 10 seed Texas Tech Tech team that was actually pretty damn good but had just underperformed all year. I think they were 90 overall. Gutted out a tough 65-62 win to advance to the Sweet Sixteen to face, who else, Mark Few (former Zags coach) and his #3 seed UConn Huskies.

Man, they were loaded. I knew I was in for a battle. Some of my guys played really hard so they could beat their old coach, especially the recruits he brought in right before he left. Just didn't have enough firepower and lost 80-72.

Now I'm in my 8th season and I'm trying out a 20 minute slider set. So far, I love the results I'm getting. Currently 7-0 and #6 in the nation and I already have a preseason NIT championship on my resume. I have a pretty explosive offense this year as I return all except one player from last year's squad. Man I love this game!

So I was 15-5. Right after the game for win #15, I lost my starting PF (and best player) for 15 days. He was only like a 64 overall, but that really hurt the depth. I lost the first two games without him in blowout fashion, and then was able to turn it around and win the next three games to get to 18-7. In his first game back, I ended up having a big first half against rival ND St., but choked in the 2nd half and fell to 18-8. Left me 11-5 in conference and basically needed to win out to win the regular season conference title. The next game was against Oral Roberts (76 overall to my 66), and I came back from down 13 in the 2nd half to steal a win late, and my last game was against a bad UL-Calcutta team who i led by 29 points at the half before simming the 2nd half. Finished my first season 20-8, so I got the bonus for 20 wins in a season and regular season conference champion. Ended in a tie for the conference title but won via Win Percentage.

Just bought the game and started the closed legacy career of Coach Matt Bishop. It should be an interesting season, my team is lacking in depth throughout, and only has two players who will make a serious impact.

On a positive note though, I'm pretty sure I have 10 scholarships at play in recruiting

Just got the game yesterday and started a Southern University (LA) closed legacy. They have absolutely no one! But thats the fun to see if I can build them up!

I have lost every game so far by double digits, and Im still trying to get the recruiting down as well as the older control scheme (heavy 2k13 player) but Im loving this game so far and cant believe Im so late to the party!

In the 2-3 matchup the guards at the top guard the ball handler like in man-to-man but the 3 at the bottom play normal zone.
In that situation you can try to come out to contest a shot but since you are in a type of 2-3 zone the 3 point shot will be open a lot.
