Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Started a legacy with College of Charleston today. Simmed the first year, but redshirted Goudelock cuz I still wanted to use him. Team actually did good in sim, too, going 22-8 overall, losing in the first rd of the NCAA tourny to Georgia Tech, but we did beat Jimmer's BYU (he won POY) and also beat Alabama who was ranked.

Richmond won the title, and they were scheduled first on my schedule for next season. I played the game, and Im sure they lost a lot of seniors, cuz that team wasnt very good. Goudelock went off and we won 69-33... Goudelock had 40 on 16-24 shooting (8-12 from 3PT). Also had 5 asts and 5 steals. My team is ok outside of Goudelock. My freshman PG i recruited, 4 star world player, is a 70 ovr and he seemed pretty good. JuCo center wasnt half bad in the game, but I didnt give him too many looks. My freshman PF was nice and will definetly look to him on the inside a lot. Goudelock is good enough to take games over by himself, so I am hoping I can keep the hot shooting going with him so I dont have to deal with too many close matchups against equal teams. But I am excited to see how I do against UNC and UCLA

Started a legacy with Duquesne. Simmed the first season (well i probably played 4 games lol) and went 18-12 but didn't make the NCAA tourney ..I don't understand how that could happen . I did get blown out in the 2nd round of the a-10 tourney to Xavier..I lost 70-48.

I didn't modify my schedule much....is it because of the strength of schedule that I had a winning season but missed the NCAA's? The a-10 is a pretty decent conference i thought...

Not that many A10 teams make the tourny in any of my legacies. Usually I always see 2, but never more than 4. Usually its Temple, Xavier, Richmond, and if a 4th, just whoever else was good, and usually its Saint Louis. Might have been your schedule, but also depends on how many teams made it from your conference already

2nd half was more of the same as they ran away with it and won 93-79. UCLA lost to GT in the finals. Finish the season 26-10, and 20 game turnaround from the season before I got here. Now look forward to year two in the ACC. Also Coach K retired and some guy from Nevada (not Mark Fox, a guy that replaced Mark Fox) replaces him at Duke, which should be interesting.
It's been awhile but I'm back to post about my legacy. Just completed my 10th season of closed legacy and 2nd season at the helm at Wake Forest. Finished 9-7 in the best conference in CBB, which was good enough for 5th in the conference. Lost in the conference semis to Georgia Tech. Got a 4 seed in the Midwest region.

In the 1st round, played 13 seed Long Island who had us on the ropes and down 11 at halftime and still double digits midway through the 2nd half. We shot horribly from downtown and missed like our first 16 3s before making one. Make a run and was able to squeak out the win 66-62.

2nd round we faced #5 Seton Hall. They pretty much controlled the game from the start, and won easily 82-55.

Finish the season 22-11, 9-7 in the ACC.

Here is my full record in my legacy.

I don't know why, but if you win a 'ship, does that help you somehow? I took Georgetown to the tourney, and played all the games and got the 'ship (I usually just sim everything). The next season I went back to normal, and simmed everything to the tourney. They finished 6th in the conference (I didn't use any pep-talks, saved them for the tourney). Like usual I felt like simming. To my surprise, a fully motivated squad won it all again. I say to my surprise, because I always feel there is some kind of upset factor (or something) that doesn't allow me to win it all if I sim. Plus the team previous champ team was better (overall). One thing that I noticed though, was that GU favored in all matchups (overall), and that's pretty rare.

Yeah, i noticed that only Temple, Xavier and Saint Louis made it in my legacy. Not surprised by Xavier...they are the hardest team to beat in this conference. Hopefully this yr I can win the conference tourney so I can get an automatic bid.

Havent played any more of my Charleston legacy, but was glad to see Andrew Goudelock take home the 3PT Contest championship tonight. Made me wanna keep playing it but wasnt able to play today. Hopefully tomorrow I can continue the 3 point magic with him. Glad I redshirted him unlike real life so I could have him for the next year while simmimg the first.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Third season at St. Francis (NY), beat UMBC by double digits before going on the road to play #15 Seton Hall. It was a close game, I had a sizable lead most of the game but young players lost composure late and lost by 8.

Next game was in the Hawaiian Classic (I think?) against Providence. They jumped me early and I trailed 15-2 at one point. Made a little run, trailed by 8 at the half. Second half started and made a 12-0 run to take the lead. The game remained close the rest of the half and after trailing by 3 with under a minute left I nailed a 3 to tie it. The Friars had 2 attempts but both were off, so on to OT tied at 66.

I took a lead early, Providence came on late in the period and missed another shot at the buzzer....so on to OT #2 tied at 81.

Again, I jumped to a quick lead but was unable to seal the deal at the FT line. I had the last shot this time, but I missed 2 attempts, so OT #3 tied at 96.

I jumped ahead early again, and this time I wanted to run clock and shorten the game. I was pretty successful, but missed FT's cost me a chance to close out the game. Up 1, I hit a layup with 7 seconds left to stretch the lead to 3. They get the ball up the court dispite my fullcourt press, and heave up a 30 foot prayer, and the kid DRAINS it with 0.6 ticks left.....so OT #4 tied at 110.

This is where my team kind of hit the wall. Got behind by a couple buckets, and a few turnovers led to easy points at the other end and suddenly I'm down 10 halfway through the 4th OT. Final score: Providence 130, St. Francis (NY) 123

I haven't had that intense of a game that I can remember, what a blast!

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Why is the Rays dancing cat in my profile?? haha anyway...

So my Charleston legacy... Its amazing. I am shocked as to how this team has played and what Ive done with them. First of all, I had tons of time to play today with bad weather and nothing to do, so I got through a lot.

I played a handful of games, and ended the regular season 24-4. I lost at UCLA by 2, and had 3 inconference losses. I had 2 wins over ranked teams as well, UNC and Mississsippi St in a tournament final. I went to the conference tourny and won all 3 games by a total of 6 points. All went down to the wire but I escaped in them all, including a buzzer beater by Goudelock in the semis to advance.

I made the tourny as a 6 seed (because my record was so good) and in the first round played Washington. Fell behind 13-3 but came back by halftime and was down by 4. In the 2nd I was able to keep it close and Goudelock hit some huge 3s, and Washington kept missing, and I won by 3. In the 2nd round, I played Kentucky (at Rupp Arena of all places) and started off hot. I was killing them, but they came back in the 2nd half, and Terrance Jones missed a 3PT at the buzzer that would have given them a W, but I escaped again to the Sweet 16.

There, I played 2-seed West Virginia. Again, close throughout and went down to the wire. Goudelock was clutch and hit 3 3's in the final 2 minutes to hold on to a sturdy lead and hit the FTs to advance to the Elite 8, my 4th ever in any legacy. In the Elite 8, i played 12-seed Villanova, so I was ranked better, but not rated better. This game was nuts. It never spread past a 4 point lead for either team, and Nova hit a 3 with 15 seconds left to tie it. I came down, found Goudelock open for 3 and he hit it with 7 seconds left. Nova came down, shoots a 3 and makes it!!!- BUT!!! His foot was on the line. Only 2 points, and only 0.5 seconds left. I escape again and make my 2nd Final 4 ever, ironically both times were with the first team i started a legacy with in the 2nd year (Long Island a few years back, got massacred in the Final 4)

Well, I was the only 6 seed in the Final 4, and the 3 other teams were 3-seeds. I played Florida and Memphis beat Michigan St to advance to the Finals. The game against Florida was close for most of the game, but Goudelock and my freshman PG Bermudez hit 5 straight 3s and we pulled away, only for Florida to come back and miss a 3 at the buzzer to tie it. First finals appearance, and with Charleston of all teams!!! Memphis was tough, but it actually was my best game. I was up 5 at halftime, and went up as much as 18 in the 2nd half, but again like every game, Memphis came back and actually cut it to 2. Will Barton missed a 3, but one of their bigs got the board and missed a putback that would have tied it up. I get the board and throw it down court to run out the time. MY FIRST TITLE IN THIS GAME!!! Felt amazing, but odd because it wasnt even a team I built up. I had Goudelock, who i redshirted the yr before to use him this year, and my next 3 best players were 3 i recruited. Either way, I was shocked. Now, the question that remained: Do I stay now that Goudelock and my #2 scorer graduated?? Well, 6 other players left the team because they were upset for who knows what reason. They all got minutes and we won the title. Either way, I had 8 scholarships to use. I didnt feel like I could sign any great players for the season, so the right offer would have me leaving after 2 successful years at Charleston... Well, one of my favorite schools offered me a job. San Diego St!!! I was ecstatic. They have a great team and signed 2 freshman that are both rated 80. Im hoping to sign a center and a SF with my only 2 scholarships for the year, but i am excited to start off my career with the Aztecs. First game: AGAINST CHARLESTON, to continue my streak of playing the previous champs in my first game. Will be weird, but I dont know half the team since they had so many scholarships and only 4 players ended up returning.

I'm in my second year with Temple. Year one was tough, as we finished 13-13. We did, however, make it to the A10 finals (losing to Xavier). We were not even in the NIT.

Year 2 is a different story. I recruited the 18th overall ranked HS Senior and he is an absolute stud. He is a do-it-all 6'8" swingman named Phil Grager. He reminds me of Tracy McGrady. Through his first 5 games as a freshman, he is averaging 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals per game.

I also recruited a 5-star center, Dwayne Bonner (6'10," 265 lbs.). Has to improve rebounding, post defense but he can really finish and is a big body. He has already had a 19-point, 11-rebound performance.

I have a project 5-star PG and a 4star SG. I am 5-0, beat Uconn. I think we will make noise.

Well when my 360 went down I rushed out and got the PS3 version since I can't live without this game. It sucks because I had my 360 copy since it released and played the same legacy since day one. I played every game for 4 years and felt real good about what I had done then it all went down the crapper. So the past 2 months I have been playing my new legacy (closed) on the PS3 and here is my results.

Set-up: I downloaded the 10-11 roster done by good people here at OS. I play default All-American sliders and 12 minute half's. As I said it is a closed legacy because I just like doing it that way.

The Coach: Meet Brady Reed a bright eyed young coach with tons of promise. He played at a small D-III school where he was a star. After his playing days ended he returned home to Idaho to become an assistant coach at Idaho St. In a surprising move before the 07-08 season, Idaho St. fired their coach and named Reed, just 25 years old, as its new head coach. Here is his story.
                            *A 100% made up story.*

                            Results:
                            Year School Record Post-season
                            07-08: Id St 19-13 NIT 3rd round
                            08-09 Id St 25-8 NCAA 2nd round
                            09-10 Id St 20-10 NCAA 1st round
                            10-11 Id St 22-9 NCAA 2nd round

                            12-13 Id St 27-3 NCAA 1st round

Currently: After the 12-13 season I was offered the head job at UMass, one of the schools on my list of "dream jobs" so I took it. I make a list of 10 major conference school and 10 power conference schools that I would coach at and only take those offers. I had done all I could do at Idaho St and had become 10-20 points better in team overall then the rest of the schools in the Big Sky. UMass was 10-18 the year before (11-12 season) and had not been to the NCAA's since 1998. I just finished year 1 and have a 20-10 (9-7) record and just won my first round game in the A-10. I face off with Charlotte next. I had key injuries to my #3 and #5 scores. Both were starters and key to my success. With a weak bench it made it very hard to compete. I have some work to do.

Key Notes: I have beat the #1 ranked school 3 different times and all with Idaho St. I have yet to have anyone go pro but have 2 players at UMass now that should make it. One is a 6'8" 201lbs SF that has amazing 3pt range. The other is a 6'3" 184lbs combo guard (PG/SG) who also has amazing 3pt range and is fast.

                            Awards:
                            4 regular season titles
                            5 conference titles
                            5 NCAA appearances
                            6 20 win season
5 time conference coach of the year
                            10 all-conference players
1 top 20 recruiting class (10-11 season) #11 overall class

Outlook: I'm building something nice at UMass. My team is lead by 3 sophomores who are all 80ovr+. I have to add some depth and size. So far I have signed a 6'9" 201lbs JC FR C/PF (3*) who should help. I have offers out on a 4* combo guard, and 3* 6'11" PF/C, 6'6" SF, and a 7'2" JC SO C. I should sign all 4 players. I'm losing my starting PF & C, and 2 little used back-up PF's. I lack size off my bench, 3 guys at 6'7" and the best players are a 70ovr freshman walk-on who is 6'7" 239lbs and a 74ovr SF who is 6'7" 203lbs. If I can land the 4 players that I have offered but yet to sign to go along with my 3 rising juniors then I should be well on my way. I also have some 4* HS JR's who are showing interest in UMass so the future looks bright.
Relax, it's just a video game!

I beat Charleston in a thriller in my opener with San Diego State. Game was close throughout, and ended up going to overtime. The 3 players I recruited that I won a title with at Charleston were all excellent against me (The PG scored 22, both the PF and C combined for 24 pts, 18 rebs, 13 blocks). I shot terribly with the Aztecs, but was able to stay in it with my center, who scored 29 pts and was 13-15 from the field, and also had 11 rebounds. I really like this team and hopefully I can lead them to a Final 4 and even moreso a championship like i was shockingly able to at Charleston.

I finally won a National Championship at Ohio State. The year before I got there they were 3-27, the three previous years combined they went 18-72, and yet after 4 years I just captured the National title. I played Washington State in the Final, and absolutely demolished them. My star SF J.B. Gordon went off, with 50 (!!!) points, 6 steals, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in a 106-68 win. We just had too much, we have size, shooters, athleticism, and plenty of experience, and in the end WSU just couldn't keep up. This was pretty much the story throughout the tournament, I won 5 of the 6 games by at least 25+ points, with my lone close game being a 7 point win in the Final Four against Georgia Tech.

This marks my 4th National title (I won 3 at UConn), and my first at OSU. I return 4 starters off of this team and the only player I lose period is my starting center, but I have two 7-footers that can step in and make his loss not felt as much.
