I sub 5 at a time so play a core of 10 players. I also play every game so that is why it has taken me 3 years to get this far.

Well the career of A.C. Slater is over. My 360 Elite has a case of the RROD and E74 message. I have an extended warranty that does not expire until November 29, 2011 but Microsoft says the date was typed wrong. I have provided them a copy of the legal document I have and they still say it is not valid. They also told me my 360 was purchased a year before I purchased it which didn't happen because the Gamestop I got it at was unloading it off the truck when I picked it up. I had one on hold and a relative who is the story manager called to let me know it was in. I helped her unload it from the truck. They are using the manufactured date as the sales date. I have provided them a copy of the receipt were I purchased it, a copy of the warranty and a copy of the card I filled out when I purchased the warranty. They tried to first tell me I forged all those things then told me that it was a typing error and my coverage should have ended a year ago. Why would I buy extended coverage for just a year and how could my system have been purchased the day it was made. I sent them pictures showing the numbers and dates on the back of the system. The last guy I spoke with told me I was just trying to get something for free. I told him I make more in 3 months ( I own 15 rental units which are all paid for and teach) then he makes in a year so why would I try to cheat them. It is the fact I paid for coverage that they don't want to give me. I could go out and just buy a new system but that is not what I want to do. I paid over $400 for the one I have and it should work. I have had it for 3 years. I do have a PS3 which I have had for 4 years now and not a single problem. I'm done with the 360 and Microsoft. So if I can find 2k8 for the PS3 then I will pick it up.

I hate to end A.C. Slaters career because I was about to play the title game for my 3rd ring and a perfect season. It sucks that they made those systems so crappy. I have researched and found the new ones are just as bad. There are 2 kinds of 360 owners. The ones who have experienced the RROD and those that will experience the RROD. If it has not happened then just wait it will. Don't believe me pull up the reviews on best buy or gamestop to see what people have said.
Relax, it's just a video game!

That sucks. But not everyone experiences RROD. I had the same 360 for 3 years and never once had any problems with it. I only traded it in to get the slim and I haven't had any problems with that one either. Just sayin'

You could try filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Sometimes that will get a company to do more to help you out, especially since you have paperwork to prove when your warranty should expire.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

After 2 horrible road performances at Florida Atlantic and Florida International, I came home to a 2-6 record facing Army. We had a great first half, shooting 53% on the way to a 37-25 halftime lead. The 2nd half wasn't nearly as good, as Army went on a 15-2 run at the start to take a 40-39 lead. The lead changed hands several times after that, until another run by Army put them up 62-54 with 2:30 remaining.

Reed Baker hit a big 3 to cut the lead to 5, then a steal and a dunk by Sherwood Brown made it 62-59. After another defensive stop, Baker hit another 3 to tie it up with just over a minute to go. Army made 1 of 2 from the line after a shooting foul to retake the lead, but Baker again came up big, this time with a 5 footer to give us a 64-63 lead with 30 seconds left. Army held for one shot, a 3 from the corner that missed as time expired. It was ugly, but it was a win so i'll take it.

Thought about that. I have done that before with other companies but one as large as Microsoft is not get effected. I did get a cal today from a new guy who said he reviewed my paper work and apologized for what I was told. He is going to call back tomorrow about getting it fixed.

In the mean time I have found a copy of the game for the PS3 and about to dive into a new legacy. It sucks that 4 years of work is almost gone to waste, while I did enjoy it. It will be nice to start again and see if I can do it again. I have learned my lesson and will stick with the PS3 going forward. I know some have had problems as well but my PS3 is now 5 years old and still going strong. My PS2 is still working as well just like the day I bought it back in October 2002. So I will start my new career legacy tonight and will post an update once the 1st season is over.

LOL @ Weber State, I've had some strange outcomes like that in the game, too. Crazy final 4, but that's pretty standard for this game lol

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Im a big Maryland fan so i started my Legacy with them. I am currently 12-4 (3-0) and ranked 17th. My losses have been games that I overlooked and were really trap games. I have lost to Hampton, Illinois, Penn st, and delaware. The Illinios game i overlooked cuz i had the 4th ranked pitt following the illini game. My key wins so far have been against pitt, temple, and villanova.

                  My next four games are
                  @ 1 North Carolina (16-2)
                  vs Duke (7-7)
                  vs Virginia (10-5)
                  @ 10 Georgia Tech (12-4)

Duke started out 1-5 before starting there comeback. It doesnt help that duke is 0-4 against top 25 teams

Start the game while your PS3 is connected to the Internet. It should say there is a title update and download it for you. The game will restart and you are golden. Should not have to restart your current legacy.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Well after not playing for almost 2 years I hopped back into my dynasty and am hooked again. This is my 7th season in career mode and I'm currently coaching UConn. Last season we went 32-1 and won the NC, the year after I won the NC with Colorado St on a very lucky and improbable run in the tourney. Currently this season I'm 10-2. I lost on a last second 3 against Washington and lost against a far inferior Purdue team on the road.

I still can't believe how good this game is. The halftime/end of game highlights, the way the players play different almost every game, the animations both on and off the court, recruiting...it's all great stuff.

So I haven't posted before, but I started a Career Legacy back in '08 when the full rosters came out, and have stuck with it, coaching every game since then, I'm now in my 29th year at wisconsin after 5 years at Eastern Illinois(made tourny 4 years) and 5 years at Southern Illinois(made tourny 3 years), I've now made the tourny 25 straight years with wisconsin, and have won eight national championships, made it to 14 Final Fours, and have a career record of 998 wins and 367 losses. working on recruiting my grandson(virtual, only 22 IRL), and I'm still not sick of this game.
