What are your recruiting tips? I am only at Chattanooga, but it is my 7th season and I have won the conference now 2 years straight and its looking like 3 years because I am currently 18-0 throughout my cupcake schedule. The thing is, I am still struggling getting recruits.

Or you could take the easy route and start getting world recruits.Comment

It's still hard and frustrating sometimes though.- The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Don't get me wrong...I still struggle. Just read the recruiting threads on here. Go after guys starting in their So/Jr year, adjust your target list towards guys who want attention, go after positions that you don't have depth in, etc...
It's still hard and frustrating sometimes though.
I know I am not going to get that great of recruits, but I would think with this success I would be able to get 3* recruits in the positions I really need players at. I can constantly get the 3* guards now, but no other position unless they're JC's.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Yea, I have just been a bit frustrated lately. I know I am only Chattanooga, a small Souther conf. school, but this is year 7 and I have turned this program around. I have constantly been the best or a top 3 team in my conference in terms of OVR and wins the past 4 years or so.

If you can't get your charisma up, then go for World Recruits. They're rarely as good as US recruits, but a 3* World Guy can still be a 70 or so Overall (NEVER get a 2* World Recruit... they stink)Football: Denver Broncos

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
So I just capped off the perfect undefeated regular season in the best way possible. After going 28-0 in the regular season I am proud to announce my Chattanooga Mocs lost the conference championship game.
So frustrating. Wrong move Citadel, wrong move. They'll realize their mistake next year when i win both games by over 30 points. You better believe I am not going to let up against them. Thats two conference championships they have taken from me now.
That's okay, I am still 30-1 and have an 8 seed.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I'm from the Southern conference and had an easy schedule, so I think an 8 seed is good, if not generous. My conference had two teams above 70 overall, not including my team, and I faced only 2 teams better than me all year, and they were in obvious down years.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Do you think it's time for me to move from AA to MoP or just to find some more stringent sliders? My team has not only cracked the top 25, but has managed a string of ridiculous double digit victories over far stronger opposition at home and on the road. And when I say double digit, I'm talking a range of 11 all the way to 41.
Need more of a challenge before this becomes techmo super bowl basketball style.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
After 7 seasons at Chatanooga I was finally offered a Major conference job at George Washington. But the other guy in this legacy took it before I was offered.
I still however am taking over a 91 overall, 29-4, Gonzaga team that only lost their coach because he took the South Carolina job. So I still do fine.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Doing great at SDSU, made the tourney as a 3 seed (BYU is a 2 Seed, Air Force is a 10. A down year for the MWC, who had 5 bids last year).

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Started a new closed legacy with the toughest job available (MD-Eastern Shore) and so far it is going rough. The roster only starts out with 9 players, can't even do Midnight Madness!
I did manage to sign three 3-star players, though. I guess that's built-in karma?VCU Final Four 2011

-You have the coaches's (all coaches I assume) ratings
-Time spent on preparing for the game (done automatically in 2k8)
-Player's confidence and consistency (which most likely = the players biorhythm/dynamic ratings; lol yes 2k had this way before EA)

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Confidence is variable. If a player gets crossed up and "gets his ankles broken" by the opposing point guard, he's going to be less confident when having to guard that guy again. If a player starts sinking 3-pointers early in the game, he's going to be more confident when putting up additional treys.
Coach ratings improve skills too. Discipline increases the effectiveness of those areas of focus during time-outs. Offense and Defense coach ratings improve all Offense and Defense attributes, including OAWR and DAWR respectively.
Finally, if there is a COF on the court, all players have slightly improved Offense and Defense attributes as long as he is out there.VCU Final Four 2011

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just played my first legacy MOP game. It was very memorable on a number of fronts, but probably the biggest of which was how it ended. The team I was playing would not go away no matter how I was doing. Foul trouble was a factor, but with about 10 minutes left we had finally climbed to a 13 point lead. Then the tide turned on our own home floor. The opposing team finally got warmer from beyond the arc, and finally hit some quality midrange shots it had been missing. Combine that with my two best players fouling out with a lot of time left, and I suddenly was on the wrong end of a 17-4 run.
That's right, with mere minutes to spare, I had completely blown a comfortable second half lead on front of the home fans. No one on my team was hitting anything, until suddenly our senior point guard was left by himself at the top of the key. He drained a clutch three with less than a minute left. The other team quickly went down the court and hit a two. The same senior point guard was immediately fouled and converted both ends of the one and one. After another quick two, our point guard once again hit both ends of the one and one. And while the other team missed their next shot my veteran small forward also missed the front end of a one and one. But fortunately our other SF (slotted at PF due to foul trouble) grabbed the rebound and hit both bonus free throws.
We held on for a close victory in the end. I love holding off the team at the line and hitting clutch shots. It's like others have said -- with the "clutch" feature turned off, you have to make your own clutch.Comment
