Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Just started a new dynasty with the 2010-2011 rosters.

Went with Vermont as they were the most well known team I could pick from.

Started off with a blowout loss at Kansas, then a blowout loss at George Mason, then yet another big loss at the hands of Clemson.

Went to the Hawaii invitational and lost a close first game to Marquette. Back and forth all game but they hit a couple clutch shots late.

In the consolation bracket, we just beat LSU 55-54. It was crazy at the end. We hit a layup with 15.8 seconds left. They brought it down and got two offensive rebounds and missed 3 shots. They got a 3rd offensive rebound but as he came down with the ball time expired. Great way to get my first career win.

1-4 and about to play Princeton now.

Does anyone know if the coaching carousel changes whether or not you play your games. I played all 35 games in my first season and of course u cant take another job after your first season at a place. At the start of my second season, I simmed all the way to the end of the season, my team didn't even get 10 wins(9-22) and yet when Mark Few went to Texas Tech, I was the first name for the Gonzaga and the Saint Mary's job???? I mean a 34-32 overall record, one tourney appearance which ended in the first round and i'm offered a job at gonzaga??? really???

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

just finished my first season after buying this game for $5 bucks...

I went 24-3 in the regular season with BYU, won the MWC tournament and entered the NCAAs as the last 1-seed with a 27-3 record. I beat #16 West Virgina (kinda weird) and #8 Coll. of Charleston to make it to the Sweet 16... then the fun began.

I beat #4 Ga Tech by three, and then beat #2 Mich State by one point on a tip-in with 4 seconds left. I was down by 10 early to Ga Tech, and up 10 early on Mich State, and both games were really fun coming down to the wire.

In the Final Four, I faced #1 overall seed Kansas. I hit a turn-around J in the lane with 1.5 seconds left to beat the Jayhawks by one, and move on to the title game against 2-seed Purdue.

Purdue got out to an early lead, but was only up 3 with 6 minutes left in the first half... then the Boilermakers started pressing me and I just totally lost all composure. A couple quick turnovers turned into a 12-0 run, and I was down 12 at halftime. The 2nd half proved no different, and my interior defense was porous, and Purdue kept knocking down outside shots. I shot only 37% and ended up losing 89-63...

It was frustrating, yet for some reason, really satisfying to get my a handed to me. Finished the year 32-4, with Jimmer Fredette leading the nation in scoring at 26.7 ppg, and winning National Player of the Year honors. The season was TONS of fun, and I'm excited to see how I can do next year without a go-to scorer like Jimmer.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

With my San Diego St legacy, I was unable to keep the magic going. I lost at home to St. Joes. They were a great team. All 5 players coud hit the 3 and i missed too many shots in general. We then had a tournament, where we barely passed by St. Marys inthe first, and then barely passed Buffalo in the semis. In the Finals, in a close match against Northern Iowa, I was able to tie it up with a long 3 with 3 seconds left to force OT. In OT, UNI went up big and I played comeback. Got within 3, and I missed a 3 at the buzzer to force a 2nd overtime. I then beat Siena and St. Marys who i had scheduled already without knowing I had to face them in the tourny. So I am 5-2, and I signed a great 4-star SF. I dont really have a solid 2 or 3 for my team next year, so he will fill in well at either position, although it will most likely be at the 3 because I am trying to recruit a good SG as well. I have 3 scholarships (previously thought I had 2) and was unable to get either of the centers i went for, and am now looking at the #3 PF, who is 6'10 and from California, so I am hoping I can get him to build a solid team for the next few years.

Getting offers is based on your coahes overall. I have seen coaches with questionable win/lose records but good overalls take good jobs. While Gonzaga is a good job the game bases it as a mid-major. I think as long as your coach is a C+ overall you can get a job there, at least that is what I had when offered the job. I just saw Coach K retire after his 4th title in 7 years. The job went to a coach who had a record of 127-87 but was an A ovr. I just hope he runs them into the ground so someone else can win. I almost always get the Gonzaga offer after year 2 in every legacy I have played.

Going into conference play, Im sitting at 6-4 with San Diego St. Blew it against Oregon, where i was up 1 and they were fouling me, and on the inbounds pass after their 6th team foul, i turned it over and they scored. I couldnt make a bucket and lost by 1. I then went to #18 Alabama where i kept in it but was behind for the most part, and they pulled away to a pretty large win. I then went to Hawaii and won by 6 or so. Season has started off rough, mainly because it's so different from most legacies I have. Usually I have a guy I go to for big shots or something, but here I do not. My PG is my best player, but he's short so he gets stuffed a ton and even when he's open, my shooting percentage with him isnt as good as it could be. Once I figure out what to do in late game situations and who is best taking that last shot, I think I'll take some of those close games and turn them into Ws

Started conference play. I whooped up on BYU in the first conference game. I was hitting every shot (it felt like it) and i won by about 40, maybe more. I wanted to beat them so bad cuz im not a big BYU fan and I just wanted to beat them as badly as I could, and it was one of the best offensive performances Ive had in a game. Gave me more confidence as I continue through conference play. The top teams are UNLV and New Mexico, but there isnt really any bad teams in the MWC by rating at least

In my 3rd season with Purdue. Got my first HS AA playing for me, he's a SG and I mistakenly thought I had a new go-to guy on offense. Turns out he can't shoot or dribble, has no offensive game at all. He's just an athletic defender.

Now I'm struggling to figure out where my offense is going to come from. Sitting at 10-5 right now. Good group of young players but no experience at all.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Just finished the 4th year of my Online Legacy with a buddy. He is SE Missouri and I am Chattanooga. Every year I either had a good year and he was bad or vice versa. I have only won my conference once in year two, and he has never won it. I did just win the regular season title this season with an impressive 19-1 conference record. I lost the conference/ home opener, then from then on I went lights out. My entire record was 22-6 with a 1-5 start, then I made my way to 6-5, then played Duke, lost that game, then won the remaining games of the year. His year was also good with a record of like 23-5 or maybe 24-4. His year was solid up until the last few games. He has gone like 2-3 in the last 5 games and only has one more game left and has to win it to win the conference I think.

I am enjoying having success finally and I think its awesome to turn around the team, but I also feel I won way too many games. The four years at Chat I have gone 15-17, 19-13(Conf Champs, 2nd round NCAA Tourney), 21-8, and 22-6 this year. I have steadily improved, but I think at a rate a tad too fast. I am in the upper half of my conference in terms of OVR rating, but there is still 3-4 teams better than me and I swept all those teams. My only loss was to Appy St. who I believe has the same rating. Other than that I completely blew through conference play winning by an average of 15+ points.

I am kind of going off topic now, but we both prefer 20 minute halves for the most realistic experience, but its hard to find the right sliders to get realistic stats with 20 minutes. We're both averaging over 85 points a game and 70+ shots a game easily. We both play "40 minutes of hell" with constant full court press and very up tempo offense. Is it realistic for us to use that play style and have amazing success with it and be near the top of the NCAA in pts, fgs per game, rebounds, steals, etc.? I keep changing sliders, but nothing seems to slow us down. We have probably gone through 5 sets this season all, but one on MOP, yet we're still beating the CPU down and simming at half time to speed things up. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this a more difficult experience, but not in a cheap, frustrating way. We both just want to beat the teams we're better than and lose to the teams we're worse than unless injuries or something happens.

On an 8-game winning streak and sitting at 12-4 with 14-4 Utah as my next opponent. I moved into the Top 25 as well (I think it was at 25) so thats a first for me in this legacy. Im really learning to play better with this San Diego St squad. My PG is turning into a monster. He is short but he has been phenomenal during the winning streak.

As for recruiting, I have a 4-star SF signed already, and I have my other 2 scholarships offered to a 4-star PF and a 4-star SG. The SG is 100% interested with me and Washington St, who has also offered, so itll be close. He's from California so I hope that gives me an edge. The other guy is around 96% with 2 teams ahead, but no offers other than mine. I have backup plans to each of these guys if I am not lucky enough to get 1 or maybe even both of them, but hopefully I can snag them both and then I'll definetly be in the running for another national title in the next few years

I feel like this is realistic with the style of play you use. How much time is usually left on the shot clock with your first shot? If there is a lot of time left then scoring 85 points a game seem realistic to me

I usually have over 20 seconds left, guaranteed at least 15 seconds left. I know its probably realistic to have tons of FG Attempts and points, steals, rebounds, etc. with our gameplans, but it kind of feels like the CPU can't handle it and we beat better teams that we probably shouldn't.

Just won my 2nd straight NC with UConn and reached 200 career wins. I lost 4 of my 5 starters but have started out 8-0 against mostly undermanned competition. All the games have been close which scares me for upcoming conference play.

The biggest headache has been recruiting. I lost three 5* guys that I thought I had only to have HAL pass me even though we're both at 100%. I've still yet to sign a 5* in season...very frustrating to say the least.
