Is it just me or is this game becoming too easy for anyone? I have it on MOP with slider adjustments to help the CPU and I still win games I dont feel I should. Maybe its just because Ive had the game for 4 years and know every little thing about it.

Agreed. No way we should be winning as Ohio and Campbell. I'm tired of having to throw games in the tournament because we keep upsetting teams we shouldn't beat.North Carolina Tar Heels

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
^^ In a way this game is way to easy for me, but at the same time, is hard when I feel like it shouldnt be.
I finished my 2nd season at San Diego St. I finished the season #1 in the conference and #9 in the AP Poll. Going into the conference tournament, I knew I'd meet up with New Mexico in the Finals as long as I won my games to get there. I did and we being the season record was 1-1, this would be a great game. It wasnt. Again, my team sucked and I lost by like 30. Absolutey terrible. Anyway I made the NCAA tourny as a 3 seed (New Mexico was a 1 seed) and I was matched up against Liberty....
Damn Liberty. They stayed in that game with 3s and I just wasnt able to get any good runs going. It stayed within 5 the entire 2nd half, and then somehow Liberty went on a 7-0 run in like 35 seconds, and that was with 2 minutes left, and it finished me. Once again, a great season leads to disappointment. My overall tournament record is 6-3 (6-0 my championship year at Charleston). It was pretty upsetting.
I made up my mind I was gonna leave. Unfortunetly, the teams I got offers from were nowhere near satisfying, so I stayed (best offer was Fordham, but because I had been the coach there before in another legacy, I stayed). I lost 3 players to graduation, none to draft like I hoped, and got 3 solid recruits. 5-star Juco SG, 4-star JuCo C, 5-Star JuCo PG. All junior college players. Didnt really do it intentionally, it just kinda happened. Unfortunetly, they are much worse in their overall ratings than their scouting report indicated. The 5-star SG is a 71, the C is a 70 and the PG is a 69. a 5 star player rated in the 60s.... maybe the most disappointed Ive been with a recruits rating once they got to my school.
Either way, I had most my key contributors back and most of them jumped in rating, so hopefully with my favorite starting lineup yet at SDST, and a more experienced bench that has gotten better, NOW this might be the year where I get a win in the tournament and hope to continue that road to the championship like my 2nd year at CharlestonComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Im in my fourth season with Tennessee State. We are currently 19-2 and undefeated in conference play. My freshman 3 star center Devin Andrews came in rated a 78 and he is putting up descent numbers. He is averaging 13 points and 7 rebs a game and is sure to get conference freshman of the year. We got put out the ncaa tournament in the first round last year, hopefully this year we are going to go further. Our overall team rating is 84, nine points higher than the next best team in our conference. We have a 70 RPI rating.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
With tennessee state, I have just finished the regular season and we only lost 2 games, but those were against terrible teams tulsa, and lipscomb. Those two losses forced us to be considered a bubble team, and we might have to win our tourney in order to get into the big dance.
I might go to ST. John's after this season, for their coach looks like he is going to get fired even though he won ten more games than he did last season.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
We won our conference tournament at tennesse state, and we received an 8th seed vs. Houston in the NCAA tournament. We smoked Houston by fourty points, and we had to face the number one overall Alabama crimson tide. Our ovr team rating is 84, and Alabama's is 88. It was a close game and we won by three points 76-73.
I am feeling good now, and I feel we were going to do something special, but re run into underacheiving 95 rated Texal longhorns. Every starter on their team was a Mcdonald's All-American. They hit their stride and blew us out by thirty points. I was so frustrated that I wanted to leave.
I thought I would be considered for the st. john's job but I was not even on their short list and my coaching rating is a b. I went ahead and took the Nevada job leaving behind a good team. Nevada did recruit one Mcdonald's All-American and their coach went on to a power conference school.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Beat the defending Champs Wisconsin in my first game of my 3rd season at San Diego St. My team seems to be much deeper than the past 2 years, and my players are much improved from the year before. My inside game is excellent, and when my 3s go down, I dont think I could lose. Unfortunetly, that doesnt always happen, but hopefully we can have it happen when it matters most. I have some tough nonconference games coming up, including Saint Louis who is rated 90 OVR as my next opponentComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I'm currently running 2 career legacies, one in the dynasty HQ boards with Colgate - I'm playing every game in that one, and one with Howard - I'm simming those games and simply doing the recruiting. In the Colgate one, I'm 0-3 so far in my first year.
But in my Howard legacy, I'm already in Year 3. First season I went 11-21, I think I finished 6th in the MEAC and lost in the MEAC quarterfinals. I got two 3 star recruits and I put them (PF, SG) as my starters. The next season I went 17-15, lost in the MEAC semifinals (I forgot to who). I got 2 3 star recruits again (two SGs to replace the ones I lost) and one of them replaces the SG I recruited last season in the starting lineup (only averaged 5 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, so I moved him to sixth man spot - he was from Europe by the way).
So in Year 3, my scheduling got screwed. It scheduled a conference game about 1 month early and had 6 non conference games in between it and the rest of the conference schedule. Since the game will only let you schedule 2 non conference games between conference games, I left 4 of the opponents on the schedule (Arizona, Arizona State, Providence, Stanford- Kentucky and Auburn were the two I dropped. And all of them except for Stanford WERE RANKED). I lost to Arizona by 17, but upset Arizona State 58-57 on the road, so that was awesome. I lost to Providence 81-62, but I wasn't complaning because I finished my non conference schedule 7-4 (lost to Arizona, Providence, Stanford, and Purdue in Round 2 of the NIT Opening Tip Off, I beat Brown in Round 1).
So Howard went on the finish 13-5 in conference play, 2nd in the MEAC behind Winston-Salem State. I beat #7 Norfolk State in the quarterfinals (bye in Round 1), #11 Florida A&M in the semis (they beat #6 Coppin State and #3 NC A&T), and then beat #4 Delware State in the MEAC Championship Game (they beat #5 Bethune Cookman, and #8 Hampton (who beat #1 Winston-Salem State)).
This is my first conference championship and my first trip to the NCAA Tournament. I'm about to find out where I end up. Howard is currently 23-9 and in my career I am 51-45 in 3 years. I surprisingly got a bunch of 2 year offers from small schools after year 2, but I wanted to win a conference title with Howard before I even considered leaving.
Oh, I forgot to mention that a week before the MEAC tournament I lost my star PF/C which I recruited year one for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. So I've been mixing up my lineup and letting my tall SFs play the PF position (injured player is my only PF).Last edited by Knickerbocker91; 04-29-2011, 08:45 AM.My Dynasties

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I LOST TO MARYLAND BY ONE POINT. Wow, lost 77-76 in the first round. I think I might stay in Howard, idk.
Ohio State defeated Duke in the NCAA Title Game. Gonzaga won the NIT. My senior SF was named Conference Player of the Year (18.3 PPG, 6.2 RPG). He was also first team all conference (obv), and my freshman SG made the freshman all conference team.
I got a 5 year contract extension with Howard, but I lose 6 players to graduation (2 PG, 3 SF, C). I did get 2 SF transfers (75 OVR froM Washington State, 67 from Drexel).
Received offers from St. Bonaventure (#5 on their list), Florida International (#2), Bradley, Southern Illinois, Nicholls State, Navy, UNC Asheville, Campbell, Yale, UMBC, MD-Eastern Shore, Monmouth, Florida Gulf Coast, Montana State, and The Citadel (all non abbreviated teams had me at #1).Last edited by Knickerbocker91; 04-29-2011, 02:20 PM.My Dynasties

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I just finished my 6th season in my closed dynasty, basically how things panned out
I am using the current rosters with coaches named (which I personally cared abut more than ratings mainly in the case of closed dynasties)
1st year: UC Davis 21-11, it was a shock had a young team that pulled in all 3*'s with my scholarships thanks to a deep recruiting class especially locally. Made the NIT and lost in the first round..
2nd year: UC Davis: 13-15, off year, mainly a progression year nothing special
3rd year: UC Davis: 21-11, a lot of initial starters matured and we ended up making the NIT and losing in the first round again. We did land a 5* municipal prospect which made me insanely excited for next season
4th Year: UC Davis: 28-10, best season at this point, the 5* freshman underperformed at 10 PPG but we were so deep at the guard spot that our rotation managed to bring us all the way to the NC game where we lost by 3. Best offer I had at this point was SDSU and I decided against it because they had 4 of 5 starters graduating.
5th Year: UC Davis: 24-7, somehow we improved our record despite losing the star freshman to the NBA draft, a majority of our starters were graduating and we would lose in the second round of the tournament. I got an offer from Iowa State and made the jump directly from small conference to a power conference.
6th Year: Iowa State: 20-11, the team was not great, I scheduled an easy OOC schedule so my job security wouldn't be terrible. The incoming recruiting class was 1 3* and 3 2*'s. I managed to land a 5* SG All American by the first signing period and I'm working on a 4* C and 4* SF now that the season is over. We didn't get any tournament.Bulls|Bears|Cubs| Blackhawks|Huskies|Horned Frogs|

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
In Year 4 with Howard, I took home to MEAC regular season title with a 14-4 conference record (beat Delaware State and Winston Salem State in tiebreakers). Made it to the MEAC Championship Game and lost 74-65 to Winston Salem State, the game always robs me against them.
Losing out of the NCAA Tournament with a 24-8 record, Howard was selected to the NIT. As a 7 seed....and our round 1 opponent...Kansas (who still have Josh Selby).
Winston Salem State earned a 15 seed and will play Memphis.
We lost to Kansas 104-56, Selby had 34 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Finished the season 24-9, 14-4, my best season to date. I'm currently 75-65 as a head coach.
NIT Final Four was #5 Rhode Island vs #4 Fresno State and #3 Texas vs #3 Arizona State. Arizona State beat Fresno State for the title.
NCAA Final Four was #1 Michigan State vs #6 Michigan and #1 UConn vs #7 Georgetown (seriously?). Michigan State beat Georgetown for the title.
Still didn't win Conference Coach of the Year, and I had no one named to the First and Second All Conference squad. I did get 3 freshman on the Freshman All-Conference team: PG Lamar Madison, PF Dor Staple, and C Jean-Baptiste Cotton.
I got a couple offers from schools in the C-USA (SMU, Tulane) and the MAC (Eastern Michigan), but I decided to stay another year at Howard. The players I recruited 4 years ago will finally be seniors, so it only seems fitting that I'm there for the end of their college careers. My Dynasties
