Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I might not play my 10th season. I might simulate this one as well. I lost almost all my 3pt shooters and the 3 pt games is ESSENTIAL in my offense. I will focus on recruiting. the 5 star recruit came in with 75 OVr, 80 Close and 3pt, 84 Speed, 86 Quickness, and B- Pot. I have 4 players with B- POT or better, 3 of them are FR or RS FR. I RSed one of my 2 FR,since I had depth at position.
I can potentially have a great class. 5 scholarships. I am 2 4 stars and 3 3 stars recruits(4 of them are located in-state). All 5 are over 85%. Almost every position. If I am able to just get at least 3 of team I am set for a great year and will definitely play next year.
I have a more difficult non-conference schedule. Facing Texas, Villanova, Fresno State, Houston, and Arizona State.

I am on pace for 200 career wins(4 away) and possible top 20 class(if I am able to sign the 5 guys Im after, all over 86%).

While simming my season, I upset #12 Villanova 82-80 for my 200th career win. I signed a 4 star PG early(great speed and quickness and good 3pt ability). I missed out of 2 guys I had over 90%, but the PG was the main concern. I also signed a 3 star SF,B+ POT with B MEd and #pt.. I have 3 scholarships left. Main focus is another PG, SG, and C. Just the SF and PG, makes my team better. Pairing them with my 5 star FR SG, will make me have a great team. Just need depth at PG and SG and a C with good size. It will have my team set for the next 3+ years. It might team a power team to make me leave and I am serious this time.

Heading into Conference play(simulated), we are 12-2. Most of the tough teams we faced were having bad years. Only loses to Alabama(Tournament), Arizona State.

We ended the whole season ranked #14. Alot of teams in my conference was horrible this year. While simming the season, I only lost 1 game in conference. I won the conference tournament. I was a #3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. I lost against #6 seed Kentucky in the 2nd round of Tournament badly. We went 29-4 in the season. We won our Conference(my 4th) with a 13-1 record. I won Conference Coach Of Year(my 4th). My 5 star SG won CFOY with 10.6 ppg. I had 3 players on 1st T. All-Conference. I had 2 FR with Freshman All-Conference. My Contract was renewed for 3 years. I plan on staying for that contract. Best offer was Temple.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Heading into 11th season, I feel good about season. With Great recruiting class(39th, four 3 stars and one 4 star ), I have NO needs at all. I have at at least 2 players per position that are SOPH or FR, only 2 SRs(both PF, but have 3 other PFs that are underclassmen). I have 2 scholarships, I will go after 3pt shooters and probably a Center. I will play the season instead of simming it(only simming against inferior teams). Team is rated 83 OVR, 85 Off, 82 Def. I have guys that fit my created plays. I will focus on Shooting and Mobility for Team Training.

              Lineup:
              PG- 2 FRs. Both 90+ Speed and 80+ 3pt. 1 3 star(5'11, 87 3pt.) and 1 4 star(6'4, horrible med range game).
SG- A Soph 5 star guy. Good speed and 81 3pt. I signed a Juco guy for depth, might not use him much.
SF- JR 6'9 235 guy. He is my 2nd best 3pt shooter.
PF- 5 guys. 1 is my best player. Good Inside game.
              C- 2 guys. Biggest ? mark on team. I have good size. But, I have a 6'7 257 PF starting at C.

I have a 10 man rotation. I have good overall team speed. I have 4 3pt shooters(2 PGs, 1 SG, 1 SF). I will run 80 OFF Tempo and Fastbreak. I will have a mixture of inside(post and close) and outside shots(3pt). I might run 15 min quarters, If I get a 15+ lead before half time I will just sim rest of game, so I can compete stats. Both of my FR PGs will get 20

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

My 1st game went great. A 30 pt win over N. Iowa. Overally very good from all aspects. Camara(5 star Soph SG) had 25 pts. My SF JAckson had 16 pt. I underused my best Reece(PF). My FRs PGs did great. They combined for 22 pts, 17 assists, 2 steals, 60% shootings, and only 1 TO(one of them had a double-double). For me, it is great having PGs who can shoot 3s especially when they are left wide open. Biggest problem this game that had to be fixed is Interior defense. Since I had a 6'7 PF at Center, we had problems. I signed a 3 star Center. I might give him the job and give the 6'7 PF a backup role. Our big problem was Team Fouls. We had 11(9 in the 1st half.
Overally I feel great about season. Just have to work on Interior defense and figuring out who to focus on when on offense. I might focus on Camara and Reece.

After winning that one, I met up with another Big East team in UConn in the 2nd round. I don't think we'll ever see the real committee set up that kind of bracket with same conference teams. LOL I just wish 2K would have continued this series and ironed out some of the wrinkles from 2K8. They were on the verge of College Hoops utopia with this one.
I agree the conference vs conference 1R matchups do bug me. But last year Syracuse played Marquette and UConn played Cincy in the 2R of the real tourney, so CH2K8 was just ahead of its time.

I just upset #11 USC. I got to a big lead into the 2nd half, than they brought it to within 6. Thanks to some bad shots, I was able to come away with a upset. I had 5 players over 10 pts. My FR PGs combined for 34 pts, 9 assists, 4 steals(one of them had 20 pts). Carama had 17. I was able to win the TO battle. What really hurt them was 3pt shooting. Besides TOs, they beat me in every category. They shot 20% as a team(only making 3).

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Started a Closed Legacy with Nicholls State Conlonels, first year made it to the Ncaa Tournament only to lose in the first round, second year, made it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen before getting totally demolished by Tennessee 100-56 (yes, i play all of my games).

I decided that it will be my last year after i lost to Tennessee mainly because my players were all going to leave which would have left me with horribly rated players. Not that my players weren't already horribly rated, but they were decent and they could shoot the lights out.

Nevada actually offered me a job, and i took it. Nevada is close to California, so the recruiting stuff don't be hard, i took the time and raised my Recruiting grade and Charisma grade both to A's. My team is pretty good actually, i haven't played any games yet, but the talent is there. I have three starts rated over 70. I believe my best rated player is my SF who is a 73, but he isn't much of an offensive guy. I'm currently recruiting some SG's cause my starting SG is graduating after this year. My team is very young, what i like about them. I'll keep you guys updated on my legacy.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

First game of the season, i face Loyola Marymount, and they're not a bad team at all. They're almost rated the same as us, 75+ ratings in each category. The game started off very sloppy and slow, neither team could get going offensively but the game stayed tight in the first, second, third, and parts of the fourth quarter. The score was 45-45 in the third going into the fourth, i decided i wanted to up my defensive pressue, and it worked, i won the game 64-54. My star player Malik Story (who was actually rated a 78, my mistake from my first post) had 27 points. Loyola Marymount had a much smaller player on him and he took advantage of that because he's 6'5, 241. Kind of like a shorter Lebron, haha. My point gaurd Deonte Burton had 13 points, and 6 rebounds. My Centers didn't disappoint, both having good defensive games.

I have a question, my star player Malik Story didn't have an icon under his name before the game, and all through the first, second, and third quarter. But somehow, when i got the crowd pumped up, he magically got a Dart sign ( not sure whats the actual name ) but it indicates that your player is a good mid range shooter, how did he get that magically in the game all of the sudden?

Nevada improves to 1-0, we face Indiana next game, should be fun.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Cant believe how this game has held up. Ive been playing it since it came out.

I downloaded some new rosters and after making some changes to the roster myself, I started up a season with UC Santa Barbara. A few reasons why I did it with them:

                          1) They have Orlando Johnson, who in the roster was rated 87, and I watched a few of their games last yr and he was great
                          2) In the Big West, so I was able to 'cheat' and make them a career legacy team by changing the starting lineup
                          3) While I did edit the lineup to make them worse to make it a career legacy, I noticed all 5 starters are seniors, so after this season, I would basically be able to put my own team together and it definetly wouldnt be as good as it is now, so I felt they would be a fun team to recruit with and try and get some great players in the future

So far, I am off to a great start. I am 6-0, with wins @ ranked Oregon and vs ranked Miss St in a tournament. Ive won 3 games pretty easily, and the other 3 were close, with Detroit at home giving me the biggest challenge. I hit a jump shot at the buzzer with Johnson to tie it up, and in OT I had to go on a 7-0 run to take the lead with 18 seconds left. Detroit missed their shot with a few seconds left and I got the win.

I have a few solid games coming up. I play East Tenn St (who I always play bc I had a very great legacy with them a few yrs back), Fairfield (A team I would highly consider jumping to if I ever got an offer), and big teams UNC and Alabama on the road, of which I would be thrilled to get a win at one of them, although I doubt it.

Recruiting hasnt been easy. I am going for 3 star players. I have 6 scholarships and I basically need a player at every position. I have a 6'7" PF from Alaska who is looking like he will sign, as well as a SF from Alaska. There are a few Juco players I may get as well. I also have a World SG and PG I am looking at. I am hoping to land a tall center, because currently UCSB has a 7'3" player and I would love to replace him with another 7-footer. I doubt I sign anybody during signing week, but hopefully I will know what players look likely to sign with me and which ones I should stop recruiting and find some new players.

This game has been a lot of fun since I started this season a few days ago, and im glad I have this game still. My goals with UCSB is to win the Big West tournament (if I dont win the regular season no biggie it doesnt clinch anything). I want to at least finish top 2 in the regular season though. My goal is to also win 20 games at least. I think I have 20 left not counting conference tourney so I am on my way.

I am undefeated heading into conference play with Gonzaga, 14-0 and ranked #16 and #1 Mid-Major). Besides a few 80 rated teams(upset couple of teams), I had a pretty easy/managable non-conference schedule. And with a Weak WCC conference, I think 3 losses is the max. My young players are what helping my team. My SR PF, best OVR player, is a disappoint. Despite his 90+ close and 80+ Low O, he misses almost of the close shots. Only way to get points from him consistently is to pick and roll. My team is set for the next few years as for recruiting. My PG, SF, PF(have 2 SRs, but have 3 underclassmen and a 4 star in-coming FR next year), and C(weakest position, but serviceable). SG is good too, I have a former 5 star SG who is a Soph, a JR, and I am close to signing a SG in recruiting. I only have 4 total JRs/SRs and have replacement and depth already. So besides for future depth and best available talent, I really dont have to focus on recruiting.
We avg 79.2 ppg(mostly simulated), 47.4% shooting, 42.2 3pt%, 70.4 FT%, 31.7 RPG, 16.7 APG, 8.9 Steals, and 4.9 Blocks. Best scorer is SG Camara with 17.6. We have the #10 ranked Offense(#1 in conference) and #24 ranked Defense(#1 in conference). T-13th best for Opponent PPG. 12th in Assists. We are T-4th in TOPG, 3rd best FG %, T-2nd in 3pt%.

With a great season I was able to get to a #3 ranking and a #1 seed in the tournament.
I simmed the 1st round. I will face NorthWestern next. If I beat them I will face Iowa State.

I have a question, what does the confidence rating do to your player? Basically, my star player confidence went up after making a few shots, and he basically almost was unstoppable and it seemed like he couldn't miss any 3's?

I demolished Indiana because of this. Anyone have a clue what it is?
