I really enjoy the depth of this game.
That is where this game truly shines. I am not a big fan of the gameplay (mostly b/c it's outdated and has atrocious court spacing, but I LOVE to simming/going through seasons just to see all of the things that can happen.

First time I've played again in a while, and I did a little work with Raiders rosters, mainly tweaking UK guys, and I am starting a new closed legacy, starting at South Carolina State. I switched the conferences around a little bit as well, to try and put a little realism into it like WVU in the Big 12, etc.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Picked up NBA 2k8 for .99 to make a little "Recent Basketball History Redux" universe importing players from CH to NBA. It's been well worth the 5.99 I payed for both titles!

On the collegiate side of things, I'm running an open legacy with UK (Calipari as the coach instead of Gillespie, of course). 2007-2008, by some miracle, I managed to win the National Championship with a team that was an #11 Seed I think in real life. Yes, I did play the tournament, and it was on "Starter" difficulty, but I used HoopCast for the regular season and only lost 4 games that way. So, I guess the guy who made these 07-08 rosters was just rosy about the Cats! Ramel Bradley and Joe Crawford were big time senior leaders for this club, and both went on to become second-round NBA picks (Roy Hibbert was picked No.1 by the Pacers). Patrick Patterson was Freshman All-American, and Jodie Meeks wasn't too bad either, if inconsistent. The highlight of the season was taking down the real life runners up and champions in the Final Four. I knocked off Memphis in the semi, despite Derrick Rose shooting 100% against me, and Cal looked very wise for leaving the Tigers to the imaginary hoops analysts in this universe. In the championship, I earned another hard fought victory against Kansas. Crawford went for 25 and the Jayhawks couldn't compete with Cole Aldrich on the bench with foul trouble and Brandon Rush as cold as an outdoor rim in Alaska.

Recruiting was a blast, as I created the top recruits using the create a recruit feature, and then used a spreadsheet to edit in other top recruits from the HS Class of 08 after they committed. Brandon Jennings was the big prize. The PG stayed in the U.S. in this universe, and he committed to Arizona for real this time. Those Wildcats are absolutely stacked with Jennings, Jerryd Bayless, Jordan Hill, and Chase Budinger. Oddly enough though, they've proved to be a bit overrated in Pac-10 play, losing 3 of their first 5, including a loss to Washington State where Jennings was outclassed by the Cougars freshmen duo of Jrue Holiday and Trey Thompkins.

The Wildcats in the Bluegrass state landed the really dynamic freshmen combo, however. DeMar DeRozan and Byron Mullens were the headliners in a No.1 overall class. Things haven't been perfect in Lexington this season though. With 21 games down, UK has already fallen 4 times to match last seasons total. Pundits point to the inconsistency of the freshmen and a lack of production at the PG spot, where Derrick Jasper isn't filling Bradley's shoes much at all. It could also be because I raised the difficulty and have played most games. The last game for the team was a 79-70 home loss to a still rebuilding Florida side, who rolled behind (fictional) Doyle Sheridan's 26 points and the 15 boards of Jeff Withey. Still, despite all the setbacks thus far, few doubt that with the continued development of DeRozan and Mullens, the continued stellar play of Jodie Meeks and Patrick Patterson, and the forging of a stronger team identity, UK could compete for a repeat title come March. *Stay tuned*

Started a Career Legacy with Kennesaw State today and started 3-8, mostly simming, that will change when I get to the conference season. I am considering starting a dynasty thread for it, but I had a question: How do you go about making tables on here? I'm not very computer savvy so I need all the help I can get.

I'm in my 7th year now, 4th at Murray State. I started at South Carolina State, and after having a losing record there (although I did have one good year out of my 3) Murray offered me their job after their coach left for a power conference school. I was left with a solid roster and went 26-5 making the NCAA Tourney but losing in the first round. Missed the tourney year 2 despite winning 24 games and upsetting a top 15 Louisville, but went 29-3 year three and lost by a buzzer beating shot in the first round . I got a senior PG transfer from Depaul that is my starter now though and I think this is my year. I have 2 awesome big men, one is a 7'2 defensive machine and the other is a 6'9 guy that can shoot from anywhere. I have depth at every position and am hoping I can make at least the sweet sixteen, but the best part is they are all (besides the transfer) coming back for at least one year, except maybe my center as well who it says is projected as a first round pick.

Just starting my third season with Western Illinois. Went 17-14 my first year and lost in the Summit League semi-finals. My second year I finished 16-17 with a first round loss to #2 seed Memphis 87-71. I finished the regular season 13-16 but tore through the Summit League tournament. I was willing to leave after the season was over but there were no jobs that interested me so I decided to stay another year.

We're rolling through in my 2nd year at LIU. We've only lost 3 games all season, 2 of those were in conference losses which I beat both in the rematches. 6 games left to go before conference tournament time. My biggest wins are over Oregon and Kansas State, if I go undefeated the rest of the regular season do you guys think I'll make it to the dance even if I lose in the conference tournament?

Just wondering because, Monmouth, Wagner, and Fairly Dickinson were TOUGH games and I dont see me winning the conference tournament for some reason.

Despite the first game against Butler, my schedule was relatively weak, but I did it during the regular season and went 31-0!
I was extremely close to putting Xavier in my schedule, and looking at it I should have since they are the #1 team in America.

Time for the Tournament, if I don't get to at least the sweet 16 it will still be disappointing.
Ugh, I got the dreaded 8 seed despite being in the top 25 for part of the year and being undefeated. It's going to be a lot tougher than I thought to get there now...

We ended up winning the conference tournament! But got blown out by Virginia in the 1st round of NCAA tournament. Great year though!

I almsot left LIU to coach Louisiana Monroe, but the Sun Belt is not where I'm looking to make my mark! Plus to leave to NY to go to Louisiana didn't make sense recruiting wise. So I'm giving it one more go at LIU.

I'm overstocked on guards, but since I'm probably leaving at the end of the season there's no point in strssing it.

Well I'm in my 3rd year as LIU's coach, and this squad is amazing (for NEC standards!). I have 2 wings that are deadly from 3, my back up PG is a 6'4" Allen Iverson (I cant start him because theres a 1st team All Conference SR PG ahead of him and I'd feel bad sitting him for his senior year). My big man on the block is going hard in the paint as usual (looking to repeat as Mid Major PotY and 1st team All Conference). My PF (really an oversized SF at 6'9") is Dirk-like and can hit the open jumper from wherever. The only problem is these guys are all JR & SR JUCO players so they'll only be around for a hot minute (except my SF & PF). So if I dont leave this after this year we'll be pretty sorry next year, and if a job I want doesnt open up I'm stuck with a young team. Decisions decisions

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Finally started a new one with Providence. I wanted to choose a team in the Big East, and only reason I chose them was I remembered them signing 2 5* recruits this past year in Ledo and Dunn. I know Ledo will probably won't play for them at all, but I have him on the roster so I can use him

Anyways, didn't realize this team has a lot of talent. A lot of guys with great athletic ability. I thought Ledo and Dunn would start but they're both coming off the bench for me and providing the spark. I don't have much bigs so I just play with 4 guards and 1 forward. Using this offense. It's been effective, sometimes I put 6'7 Ledo at the 5 and create mismatches.

Off to a 6-0 start, most of my games hasn't been closed at all. I'm using rspenser's sliders, I'll make modifications if it's too easy during conference play as well. First time I'm doing substitutions manually, I usually let the CPU do them but I wasn't impressed with the rotations that was being sent out.

Got a 4* Center that is ranked 3rd at his position and 91st overall player. I'm waiting on this 5* PG that's 8th best PG and 11th best player. I should get him, as his interest bar is almost full and Villanova is fractions behind me. I'm not worried.

Well my time at Murray State is done. I finished the year 36-1, losing a heart breaker in the national title game. Most of my guys graduated so I took a new rebuilding project at a power school in Clemson. They finished last year 9-21 so this year is going to be bad, but I'm hoping I can get a decent team in 2-3 years and not get fired.

I sim most of my games. I like to play against top teams and in the tourney though.

I just finished my second year at Clemson, the first year was awful like expected and I only had one scholarship so I thought I was screwed. I was dead wrong though, I picked up this 4 star recruit from Texas no one had offered, and he was a ****ing stud.
He was a PF, but played SF most of the year since he was undersized and my best player is/was a PF. He averaged 29.1 points a game, 7.8 rebounds, 1 assist and 2.2 steals! Absolutely awesome, for a guy that only has a 74 overall. I lost in the second round of the tourney to the #2 seed Auburn (I was a 7 seed) who shut him down to only 10 points. 28-8 isn't bad though considering this still isn't my team and I have an awesome recruiting class coming in next year.
He won player of the year too when I simmed past the tourney
