at Northwestern, I had a great SG (6 foot 6, 85 OVR, NBA Lottery pick) graduate, so I thought I'd recruited his successor. #4 player in the nation, #1 SG. 5*, obviously. He comes in at 74 OVR, with B potential... ugh. Now I have to start my 76 OVR Soph SG, who I was hoping would just play backup.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
6 UVA vs. 12 Florida
Big game that will basically define the season, so I needed to win this game. Florida was ranked higher than me the previous week but dropped a few spots following their last lost.
Florida jumped out to a 10+ lead early in the game so I was an uphill climb all game. Everyone on my team was cold that night except for my SO SF turned SG Arden Vilardell.
Background: Arden was the leading scorer on the team as a FR scoring 15.7 pts a game leading him to the Freshman of the Year Award. He can get hot but don't look for him to put up 20 a game, he is just not on that level (yet).
We pull within 10 towards the end of the first half and we are shooting 2-11 from the arc, even my best pure shooter has no more than 5 pts.
Towards the end of the game down 7 with 1:15 to go, we force a stop and get two easy points in the paint. Next is the press which creates a turnover. There was no fast break opportunity which forces me to call a play, but there is no play in mind since everyone is cold except Arden who is playing SF now. The SG spots up on the left wing and Arden drifts to the right wing. With a quick pass to him from the top he is slightly open for the three. I was hesitant to shoot with my team being horrid from 3, even with lackluster D. Spots up and knocks it down. Next possession Arden kicks it down low for the easy turn around layup with the foul.
On the last possession (62-60 UVA) with 12.9 on the clock they pass around finding a wing player to get the same look they have Arden but fail to make the buzzer beater 3.
Another amazing game and an even better finish. The end gets a little cloudy as I played this game LATE last night. It blows my mind that the whole team was cold except for one player. He finished with around 39 pts shooting 10-15, 3-5 pts. Only two players shot better than him (1-1 for both) but everyone else shot under 50%.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just got back into CHoops after playing 2k13 online assoc. and GTA5 and man what a game. Resumed at the second conference game @Clemson (8-6 me Virgina 14-0). I am rusty from the break so anything that would have been easy was a challenge. They started on a 10-2 run and pressed after every basket. My leading scorer had got 3 fouls in the first 4 mins (15 min. half). It was a tough decision but I had to leave him in. In the final minutes I found myself down by 5. Tied it up and took it to OT with the undefeated record still on the line. Once again in the final minutes I'm down 4. Sink a three to be down by 1 with about 40 seconds left. They move the ball around which leads to the steal and the fastbreak opportunity. Dunks to go ahead by 1 with just under 10 seconds to go. Final score is 79-77 Virgina. With this win it brings me to the #2 spot in the media poll.
Next 2 games are against #4 Duke (coming off a sub-par year) and @ #6 NC State. It's good to be backComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I'm going to get back into the mix later on. I hope to have more luck like I did in the one I mentioned here a lot (I believe I started at IPFW, then moved to Buffalo where I won a NC in 2015, then I moved to Iowa who came off of their own NC run, and I drove them back into the ground sadly).
I forget what my last strategies were...but anywho, this time around I'm think 40 minutes of hell!!!! (I think I had about the same as that, buuut I'm pretty sure last time I was more centered around the 2-3 defense. This time it'll be pure man-to-man!!!!)
Anyhow, I reset my game back to out-of-box (it was an emotional parting with the 2015 Buffalo Bulls exportation) so I'll plug in some sliders and pick a team and GOOOOO!James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I began my career legacy with 59 overall Maryland-Eastern Shore. I know I said I'd go all man to man, but I threw in 2-3 matchup as my secondary. The others are man to man, and I always full court press.
First game of the year against Shaka Smart, an inspiration of mine ironically. We got off to a hot start, but they roared in with their trapping to cut up our lead. Second half we didn't really stand a chance, and we went on to lose 65-51.
Game two against Stony Brook. I started the game, but quit early to play another game. My house rule is: if the game ends before it really should, you MUST sim it. Mainly just to keep things moving.... I simmed it and we won 72-65. I don't remember our next opponent but you can rest assured that they're ranked higher than us, lol.James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Things at UMES are going as poorly they could be. With low expectations coming in, we've surely met them. We sit at 7-19, game against NC A&T in progress. We've gotta' get ourselves psyched for the conference tourney....our only shot into the Big Dance. We're looking at the possibilty of committing a 3* dude in the top 300 overall players. I'll be waiting for his letter in the off-season when we get there.
I ditched the all man-2-man thing and am going all 3-2. I figure what better way to win than to pack the pressure after our full court trap than with the 3-2. Hell, it might even be more worth my while to full court press and make them waste time before getting into half court. It may be something else to experiment with.James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
The best game for UMES was the worst for Morgan State. We held them to just 9% shooting from the field in the first hàlf! We crushed them 73-35.
We're only 10-21 now with two games left, but who knows what could happen when conference tourney time rolls around?James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Big decision to make in the off-season. I've been at Sacramento State for all 6 years and have built a legit dynasty. I sign recruits who seemingly fall through the cracks and end up being studs. Sure, they have some character issues (so I like to think), but they win baby! The only thing holding me back from leaving is the possibility of playing a freshman (rs) 7'4" (80 OVR) center next year. I'd like to get out of the Big Sky and actually recruit some high-school all-americans. If the right school offers I'm gone, otherwise I may be at Sac. St. for the long haul.Comment
