    Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

    Season 3 Recap

    I decided to not only simulate most of the non conference but almost the whole conference slate as well. I guarantee I'll be playing the games next year because I'm excited about the transfers and redshirts I have. My team finished 6th of 8th in the Big South.

    I did play the Big South tournament and beat Coastal Carolina who was 24-5 in the second round and beat Liberty by 1 in the Big South Championship. We drew a 16 seed and I played Indiana and lost 52-85. We finished 16-19 this year. Coastal Carolina who won the conference was knocked out of the first round of the NIT by Cent Conn State.

      I just picked up the game & used the 2k14 rosters that's in the rosters section, & I started my legacy with Florida A&M I finished my 1st season at 15-17 & had big wins over Shabazz Napier's huskies & Wisconsin who was ranked 21st at the time. I won the Conference title & got into the tournament as a 16th seed but we lost by 17 to Kansas. Louisville went on to win the whole thing though & POYwent to Julius Randle who was averaging 25 & 11 I got some good 3-Star recruits & even got lucky with a 4-Star recruit PG so I look forward to the next season

        Wowza! I missed on one recruit I really wanted so I had to "settle" with this guy. Little did I realize he would come in as good as he is. He isn't one of the finesse Power Forwards I like to bring in but he seems to be a great rebounder and solid in the low post. I'm going to redshirt him this year as I usually do with my freshman. He is the highest overall player I've landed so far.

        @Biloxi State (1-0) 93

        Since my team has a lot of inexperience this year I made a little bit of a softer schedule with a few good teams mixed in. Despite allowing 83 points I noticed a much better defense. Lawson (33 pts, 12 rebounds) started where he left off the past 3 seasons.

        Biloxi State (2-0) 117
        @Georgia (0-1) 66

        I came in here expecting a battle and was hoping I could pull off the upset. I was a little put off at how easy it was but its a good win nevertheless. We played some of the best defense we've played and shot 48-68 from the field. I'm sure with those numbers you'll win most games.

        Chicago State (0-1) 71
        @Biloxi State (3-0) 111

        Chicago State kept it close for a half but we made some defensive adjustments at half and we just had so many bodies to put in the game. Chicago State played themselves out of this game by shooting 3-33 from 3 point range. I'm sure a little bit of that had to do with fatigue. Every starter except Williams had over 20 points so pick your poison. Jackson had the best stat line at 24 pts 16 rebs. Although the reserve guard Brown also had 14 assist coming off the bench. After playing at sub 60 overall for 3 years you don't really know how bad teams like Chicago State are. I probably wouldn't have scheduled them having known how lopsided it would be.

          Right now, I'm in year 2023 with Washington. I started out at UMass, accepted a job a Syracuse 11 season later, spent 3 with the cuse and now I'm in my second season in Seattle.

              ...and frustrating, especially early on...but totally worth it when you build a team into a perennial tournament team.

                Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

                Started a new closed legacy with the last roster I downloaded from 2kshare which happened to be a 2012 roster set.

                UC Davis was on the closed legacy list, so I started there (have started there in many of my past legacies as well.

                FR PG Ty Corbin led my team to a Big West tourney win in Season 1 winning 23 games before I lost in the 1st Round of the NCAA tourney to Maryland.

                In Year 2, Corbin won Big West POY well leading me to a Big West tourney title again. This time because of several upsets I made it all the way to the Final 4 before losing to UNC. (They won it all)

                I turned down VCU and TCU to return to UC Davis.

                In Year 3 Corbin again led the way winning Big West POY again and this time leading UC Davis not only to a Big West Tourney win, but also the Big West Regular season champs. Again because of some upsets I made it all the way to the Elite 8 where I lost again to UNC (Again they won it all)

                Year 4 was a repeat of 3. Corbin went out as 3 time Big West POY. UC Davis won both the Big West regular title and tourney and made it to the Sweet 16 before losing to #1 Texas (who went on to win it all).

                Wichita State offered me the HC job and I was going to take it, but Syracuse J. Boeheim retired and the Orange hired M. Few from Gonzaga, opening up the job to me.

                I am getting ready to start season 5, Year 1 with the Zags. My Coach is 103-38 Overall and is a B rated, with a A in Offense and Charisma, C+ in Defense, Scouting and Teaching and a C in Disipline.

                I plan on staying at Gonzaga until I win a National Title, and then hope to land in the Big East either at Seton Hall or maybe the Big 12 at Oklahoma State.

                Another hope would be Washington State and build them into a Pac-10 powerhouse..

                    I went 17-12 with my created team, Clarendon State. We upset DePaul in the first round of the NIT before losing the App State in the 2nd round. I ultimately decided I would rather use a real school, so I simmed the 2nd season (11-14) before taking the job at Loyola (Illinois). They have 4 starters returning from last season. They were 8-20, but I think can do some damage with them. Also, I noticed in the Preseason Show, All five All-Americans play for Kentucky. Good thing I don't have them scheduled.

                      Aw... I thought the idea of an independents team was cool. However I can understand that if your doing coach mode that you'll probably take forever to reach the NCAA's. It should still be interesting to see what you do with Loyola though.

                        Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

                        Just completed my second season with Lamar and had a Butler-like run to the national title game. (Played every minute of every game again).

                        Started season 4-0, winning Coaches vs. Cancer classic but then lost 4 of my next 5 games. However, I only lost one more non-conference game (shootout at Missouri) before rattling off an undefeated Southland Conference season and cruising through the S'Land tourney.

                        My efforts earned me an RPI rating of 18 but only a No. 6 seed in tourney. That's when I played the best ball of my career, absoultely running through teams like Florida, Wisconsin and Notre Dame ahead of title match up with Villanova (Florida and Nevada -- 10 seed, bubble team -- were rest of Final Four).

                        Foul trouble doomed me. Top scoring player, 7-0 C (17 ppg) had three first half fouls and two points (dropped 34 and 10 on Florida). Picked up fourth foul one minute into second half, fifth one minute after putting him back in game with 5 minutes left.

                        Was down 17 with 4 minutes to go, but cut it to 85-79 with 59 seconds left. Got the ball back but missed a pair of 3s that could have made it interesting. Lost 87-79. No regrets.

                        Only lose one senior (second-leading scorer, a scrappy little SG), so another run is very possible. We will see what off-season offers come my way, though.

                        2008-09: Lamar -- 32-6 -- 16-0 -- National runners up
                        2007-08: Lamar -- 22-7 -- 12-4 -- Lost in second round*#

                          Do Assistant Coaches on user controlled teams ever get Head jobs at other programs? I had a good run with my created UNC Pembroke squad but my assistants never seemed to het any looks. After 5 years there I got the job at Wake and my assistants came with me, I really expected at least one to be gone by now.
