Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Well finished my 2nd regular season at SIU at 25-3. Entered the tournament as a #4 seed and played UW -Green Bay the 1st game and won by 25. The second game against the #12 seeded Old Dominion. We were outscored 33-28 in the 1st half. In the 2nd both teams had the red momentum meter almost the whole half as it was back and forth. The largest lead was at 5 with 1:32 to go by Old Dominion and I thought again I am gonna be out. Then after back and forth turnovers my PG Cesar is wide open for a 3 on the right corner with :40 to go to cut the lead 68-66. There is a :04 difference in shot clock and surprisingly my team doesn't foul and just plays hard D. With :08 to go they attempt a 15ft jumper that is blocked by my center harvey and picked up by cesar taken down court and passes to my Sg Lamb who bombs home a 3 with .7 left and I am jumping and yelling at the screen with a 69-68 win and into the sweet 16. That is why we love this game!!!!

    Next is #1 Vanderbilt

Made one with New Hampshire. Man, tough start, lost to BC and Central Connecticut State by 20, where nothing would go in. Now it's off to home, can we win there?

Well of course Vanderbilt knocked me out. I hung in til about 8 to go but they pulled away and won by 12. I have an extremely young team so i just need to keep this team together and add a piece or 2 and I think we can get close to winning it all.

Started off season 3 against Purdue and beat them by 30. Matt Painter was fired before this season began. Right now we are facing Wofford and beating them by 30 with 10m to go.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Started a new open legacy with Iowa State. 2011-12 Roster & 2011-12 Schedule (can only have 28 games in a regular season so there is no N. Colorado game... picked Miss Valley St. over them)

Because they transferred, Korie Lucious (Michigan St.) and Will Clyburn (Utah) will have to sit out this year but will be ready for the next season.

            First four games:

vs. Lehigh W 74-68 (Real life score 86-77 Iowa St.)
Tougher game then I thought, was even down 35-31 at the half... Lehigh is a really good shooting team (McCollum & Grenier were on fire) but my guys were even better in the second half especially Royce White and Scott Christopherson

at. Drake L 60-51 (Real life score 74-65 Drake)
Couldn't make a damn shot... Royce White finished with 15 points & 12 rebounds

vs. Western Carolina W 85-59 (Real life score 92-60 Iowa St.)
The game was over at the half (52-21). Four starters in double figures. White with another double-double 21 points & 11 rebounds, Chris Allen with 17 points (5-7 from 3 point range)

vs. Providence W 71-64 (Real life score 64-54 Iowa St.)
The Cyclones never trailed in this one, led by 14 before Providence made a late run but we managed to hold on for a decent non conference win. Tyrus McGee scored 16 points off the bench

            Next Game: vs. Rice

                Year Number 3 with michigan..

Lost in the Elite 8 first year to UNC
Lost in the ELite 8 2nd year to Kansas
Currently 3-0 with my squad in year 3...

Thought Hardaway was going to leave and recruited heavily on guards, but to my surprise he stayed and am loaded at that position, I also got a 4 star 6'11 center who is in the mid 70s rated he is a sophmore this year and is a force on the defensive end...

                I play on MOP

Also, not really related to the videogame at this point but noticed I was guarding a kid on the Crimson named 'Lin' during the game, and it just hit me that's the same guy lighting it up of late for the Knicks now. Glad these rosters are pretty accurate.

No! At the moment I can't remember who won I will have to post for ya. They knocked me out and i am off to a rough start this season at 6-6. That is my worst start ever.

Restarting my legacy. Started with Maryland but made my coach the Perfect coach and things are too easy. First year recruited 3 aa's all are mr bball's all within the top 5 of their position. Started simming a few seasons (10) just recruiting, wasn't a player on my roster that was not an aa by then. I won 2 titles, 4 final fours, nothing less than elite 8. Also noticed players progressed to fast, me having a junior was rare lol. Best recruit was a number one sg who was 6'7 and Lebron like. Speed was over 90, dunking over 90 and could stroke it from long. Doubt I'll ever get this type of recruit again in my closed legacy ;( he was a one and done player though.

Starting over in a closed legacy, goal is to earn my way to Maryland. Still debating what team to start with. The plan is to get to a mid major and build a power house until md comes knocking. Gonna play every game. Stay tuned. Using mkharsh's sliders.

After the 2012 season I was offered the Minnesota and Colorado jobs, but because both teams were god awful I declined. After the last season I was offered the Wisconsin and Duke jobs, but because I don't like either team I declined as well. I'm hoping to get the Illinois job but Bruce Weber somehow has 100% job approval rating despite Illinois not making the tournament in 5 seasons(art imitating life). I have 5 starters returning and bring in a 6'3" 5 star PG, a 6'10" 4 Star PF, a 4 star 6'6" SF, and a 7'1" 3 Star C(who looks to be an athletic freak, but raw). Next years team will be my best, and I need to get back to the 2nd weekend of the tournament. Getting impatient waiting for the Illinois job and since the MAC is pretty awful I might leave after next season.

Yeah, good luck on waiting for that job. Coaching the Illini is my dream job as well, but Bruce Weber seems to have them playing great, unlike the real life Illini. In my legacy the Illini are constantly top 15 and were a 2 seed in tourney last year. I'm in year 5 at Western Illinois myself I think once I get offered a mid major job, I'll stay there and play bracket buster for a good long while.

Yeah, I'm thinking my best bet is to wait until he retires. In my last season no high major coaches were fired. Bo Ryan retired(replaced by Thad Matta who got fired from OSU and was at Old Dominion), Coach K retired (replaced by the Northern Illinois coach, think they could do better), and Gary Williams retired. I did check at the begining of this season and Weber's job security did go down and seems to be at about 85% so maybe there is a chance. The roster is all players in the mid 70s or lower so they could perhaps have a bad year and maybe he will get canned.

Made the tournament all four years at Campbell; 1 First Round exit, 1 Cinderella run to the Elite Eight, and two Sweet Sixteen appearances. Dominated my conference (the weak A-Sun). The only real competition was Belmont, who definitely gave me some good games over the years.

Left Campbell after my fourth year (agonized over this decision for awhile considering I did not want to leave the one-time Freshman who were going to be Seniors that had carried me to a bunch of tournament victories) and headed to Gonzaga after Mark Few left to take a more prestigious job.

Went 25-7 in my first year and was eliminated in the Second round. Inherited a beast of a player by the name of O.J. Al-Sayyaad who is 7'0'' 260+. Was a former two star recruit, but I beasted with him and he carried my team for most of the season, averaging 20+ points and 10+ rebounds a game. Rightfully earned the nickname Super Sayyaad (pronounced say-YAHD), especially after a 32-point 21-rebound game against defending National Champion Arizona in non-conference play.

Sayyaad is a Senior this year and is still "Super", but I scheduled a tough non-conference slate for my team and they've taken their licks. Sitting at 12-7 right now, 4-1 in the WCC. My last two results are why I love this game so much. I got blown out 100-77 in my game against St. Marys, couldn't stop a nose bleed, got absolutely demolished. Very next game, absolutely shut down Santa Clara 82-51 as my defense stifled everything they tried to throw at me.
Just finished the regular season at a rather mediocre 17-11. Conference play ate me up, that's for sure. I could never put two straight weeks together; finished tied for second with two other teams at 9-5 in the WCC.

However, I just got a big win on Senior Day against a ranked Pepperdine squad 77-59. Sayyaad finished the game with 33 points and 12 rebounds in his final home game.

I'm sitting square on the bubble right now. 17-11 (9-5) with a 50 RPI and a 10-9 record against teams in the top 100 (Saint Mary's just has my number, they were my two bad losses). I need to win at least two games in the conference tourney to feel safe about a tourney bid. Definitely going to be a nerve racking couple of games.
