THere just blew thru a very tough Texas Tech team. Was down 3 at halftime.... ended up winning by 25.. I ran it up a bit .. but with my bench..
My bench players scored 18.. led with 11 by my True Freshman PG..
I hit 8/13 threes, 13 of 13 FT's.. and Outrebounded Tech by 10.. pretty solid performance.
and now IU is 6-0.. we'll see where i'm ranked next poll

Decided to pick this game back up. Restarted my legacy as Geoff Sanderson (I think I named him after an NHL player from back in the day or something? lol) Anyways, I'm coaching at UNC and after failing to make the NCAA and losing in the 2nd round of the NIT in my first year back, my team went into the season #10 in the pre-season polls. Ended up finishing #1 as my team went 29-3 while beating 9 top 25 teams along the way. Got the #1 overall seed in the NCAA tourny where I beat Murray State by 40 in the 1st round and beat #8 St. Louis by 3 in the 2nd round. Now facing #4 Ole Miss (my first time actually playing in awhile) and I'm up by 2 or 3 at halftime.

6-0 in 2023-24 with my #1 ranked Ohio State squad. I was pummeling #9 UCLA big time but simmed to end when I got bored of it, and won 61-48, but it wasn't even that close.

My #1 UNC is headed to the Final Four after taking down #2 Baylor 86-80 as 5 of my players scored in double figures. My senior center, Pierre Lagana led the way with 20 and 8 and my senior SG Anil DaSilva came off the bench to give the team 16 points. Dude has to be 6th man of the year... averaging 16 per game off the bench.

Edit: So I'm in the Final Four against #5 San Diego State... Their center is 6'9" (mine is 7'1 and averaging about 18 points per game, so he's actually good lol), their PF is 6'4" (mine is 6'10"), and their SF is 6'6" (mine is 6'9"). I'm just pounding them inside right now. 6 offensive boards in the first 10 minutes, 22 field goal attempts for me compared to just 8 for them. I'm up 10.

This 4th season has been a roller coaster ride so far with Detroit. Started 6-0, lost some non-conference games that could've gone either way, lost my starting PG for 3 weeks then my all-conference C for 7 weeks with injuries. Was sitting alone in first at 9-2 (after beating 2 teams in contention by double-digits), then went on the road and laid 2 eggs. Lead the entire game at Valpo before giving up the lead with 57 ticks left, ended up losing by 9. Then went to Butler and couldn't make a shot to save my life in the second half, finally got to within 2 but just couldn't get over the hump.

Next up, two home games that I need to win against a good team (Cleveland St) and an awful team (Loyola-Chicago, who I lost to on the road somehow). My C might be available for the Saturday game, I can only hope....

SIU at it again?? No cinderella story here as they are back to defend the 2016-17 title. We finished the season at 31-2 and accomplished a goal of a #1 seed headed into the tournament. The scary part is I have 4 starters potentially returning unless someone else goes pro. My small forward Mikulas has been the backbone and leading scorer for my team for a few years and is the only graduate.. Stay tuned!!

Ended up pounding them. Had a 36 point lead at half time and then I let my backups play, ended up winning by about 40. Moving on to face #1 Richmond in the championship game. Should be a tough game.

Just started a legacy with Hartford...a really young and undersized team full of shooters. I think the tallest guy that gets any burn is 6'7". I'm 5-7 right now, just lost 65-53 to Villanova. I was leading 26-25 at half and was in it for most of the 2nd half, but Yarou and Pinkston owned me down low.

Started a Legacy with Texas State, and in year 1 (simmed) went 10-16, didn't even make the conference tourney. This year, we went 10-15, going 8-8 in conference which earned us a 7 seed in the conference tournament. We squared off against UTA.

This game was a back and forth battle. I was up 10 at one point with 5 minutes left, but blew it after turnovers. We went into OT, where my bench stepped up. Brown had 6 of his 13 in OT, and Capel (my 7-0 center) grabbed everything missed. The Bobcats move on to face the UTSA Roadrunners.

The Southland conference has been full of upsets in its conference tourney. #8 Lamar defeated #1 Nichollis State 56-54, and #3 UTSA crushed Northwestern State 88-66. Looks like the conference championship will be close.

#8 Lamar vs #5 McNeese State (Reliant Stadium, 12:00 EST)
#7 Texas State vs #3 UTSA Roadrunners (Reliant Stadium, 3:00 EST)

After defeating UTA in an upset, Texas State hits a wall in UTSA, losing 52-77. 5 players scored all 52. It was a dissapointment.

UTSA ended up crushing Lamar in the Southland finals. Memphis won the NCAA title.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Just finished my first year with Hartford. I have the current roster update (PS3) and selected them b/c they start 4 freshman and 1 senior, and one of those freshman was the best player overall on the team, so I felt it would be fun to watch them develop over my few years there.

I play 12 minute halves on All-American difficulty using my custom sliders that I used back when I had this game for PS2. Anyway, I finished the regular season with only 3 losses (@Louisville, @Virginia, and @Vermont). My biggest non-conference wins were @Villanova by 12 and @BYU by 10. Won the conference tournament and was given a 5 seed for the NCAA Tournament.

My first game was against the 12 seeded San Jose Spartans and I won 68-54. Next, I was fortunate that the 13 seeded Charlotte 49ers upset the 4th seed, and I beat them 65-56. In the Sweet 16 I played the 1 seed Vanderbilt and thought for sure I would lose, but I slowed the game down and my lone senior starter went off for 28 points (averaged 12 throughout the season) in a 63-58 victory. The Elite 8 game was against the 3 seed Wisconsin, and after I built a 17 point lead going into the half, Jordan Taylor did his best to bring Wisconsin back but fell short as I won 67-60 (his clutch factor must be ridiculous b/c he made everything he threw up down the stretch).

In the Final Four, I faced off against the 4 seed UConn. This game was over from the tipoff, as UConn was just bigger at every position. They jumped out to a 15-0 lead using the fastbreak and their athleticism to their advantage. Ended up losing 88-65 as I was forced to play to their style, which isn't my forte. I prefer running set plays at a slower tempo, but they forced me to run up and down. UConn ended up losing to Xavier in the championship game, as Tu Holloway and company zipped up the Huskies.

It was a much better season then I thought I would do, and only losing one starter and gaining a 6'11" ** center through recruiting, I expect another deep run in the tourney. I'm considering adjusting the sliders some more to favor the computer, but I was really good at this game back on PS2 (was number 3 in the world on the online leaderboard playing with the Baby Boilers for every game) so if anyone has some sliders that they really like, I'm open to suggestions (I've already tried out some of the sliders in the sliders forum during quick games).

Finished the first season with Hartford at 17-16...won the America East regular season title but got upset by Albany in the first round of the tournament. Lost in the first round of the NIT. Missed out on all my top recruiting targets.

Second season I finished 19-11, 2nd in the America East. I lost to New Hampshire in the 2nd round of the conference tournament. I had an upset win against Ole Miss and my sophomore PG Dustin Clarke averaged over 29 points a game and was named an All American. I landed a 3-star SG, a 3-star SF, and a 2-star center who's a 7 footer, which finally gives me the frontcourt size I've been lacking.

Just started season three and am 1-1. I beat Florida Gulf Coast in the first round of Coaches vs. Cancer and then lost to #16 Florida 46-44 in the second round. Casey Prather hit a 3 to give them the lead with 9 seconds left and rage ensued.

They shot 60+% in the first half, 57% for the game, even after we were down 19 we came back and cut it to 2 in the 2nd half but could never get out in front.

We finished 20-10 overall but still got a #2 seed in the NCAAs and will face Jacksonville St with the winner of 7 Stanford/10 Miss St. awaiting us. Now the work for defending our national title begins I guess. Not really confident about the way my team is playing TBH, don't see us making the Final Four this year.
Well after defeating Jacksonville State in 1R and Stanford R2, lost in the Sweet 16 to 6 seed Louisville. Couldn't stop a damn thing defensively when we needed to. Overcame a big deficit but just couldn't make enough stops to win it in the end. Had a chance down 3 late but turned it over when I stepped out of bounds trying to run a play for the tie.

Finish the season 22-11. Overall I'm now 368-118 in 14 seasons. This was one of the more disappointing seasons. We had so much talent but never could gel together as a team. I'll lose 5 seniors and have a lot of young talent to look to next year, but it's probably going to be a rebuilding year at Wake.

The Final Four is #3 Oregon vs #6 Louisville (who I lost to) and #1 Texas Tech vs #11 Rutgers.

National Championship is #6 Louisville vs #1 Texas Tech

And Louisville wins it all! Pitino's 2nd Nat'l Championship and 1st at Louisville.

Just a few games away from finishing our 9th season in our "Online" Career Legacy and it appears 2k finally shut the servers down.

I really hope the servers are just down, but I highly doubt it. Really sucks, we were hitting our stride and I could have seen us getting in another 9 easily.

You could share the file with each other without 2k Share. You would just need to use a USB stick and email it back and forth to each other. It takes a minute to get used to, but once you understand the process it takes no longer than 30 seconds to receive it in an email and send it to your USB.
