Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
wow, was cruising along nicely in my 6th season at nevada. 20-4, 12-0 in conference with a a 27 conference game win streak. ranked 20th, 12th rpi and projected as a 4 seed,. the last team i lost to was new mexico st and they repeated that effort by dismantling my team 79-46 on my home court. hopefully its a wake up call for my team.......Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just started a new closed closed legacy with UNF(North Florida).Im in my 5th season and have been skating on thin ice thus far.My first two seasons i had a combined 19 wins and then my third season i had a decent year goin 15-13 with a first round exit in my conferene tourney.Year 4 was a disaster as i caught a major injury bug with my startin SG(leading scorer) and PF(leading rebounder) both lost for the year.Went 9-19 and havent sniffed the NCAA tourney to that point.
Now in year five im haven my best season so far. We're sittin at 6-0 with a huge set of wins @ USF and @ Ole Miss. Both nail bitters. Both of those teams are expected to finish at the bottom of the Big East and SEC but for a small school like us those are huge esp on the road.My startin 5 are all SR's and are loggin heavy mins because i have no talent on the bench whatsoever.Im hopen i dont have any major injurys as that would not only cost me my best season so far but maybe my job.Up next is signing week and i have 6 schollies out and am hopen to fill half during this period.I also go on the road to face #8 Florida(7-0) that week.Could be a program changin win if we pull it off.Last edited by Pitfighter87; 12-20-2011, 02:28 AM.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just finished our game vs Florida and we're headed back home with our tails tucked after a 53-92 beatdown.Honestly i cant believe we scored 52 as our starters where wore out from their heavy press and our bench didnt stand a chance.Florida shot lights out from deep and basically had their way with us on offense and defense.Next game is at home vs 3-6 Georgia Southern.
Some good news this week though is I signed a ***star JC FR PG out of Jacksonville,Florida. He was my top recruit and my first ***star of my career. Also landed a 6'9 **star Center out of Hollywood,Florida.Lost out to everyone else but am hopen to land ATLEAST two more guys in the late signing period.
I really like my team this year though.I feel like i have a pretty good shot at winning our conference tourney and makin the big dance for the first time.My only fear is injury to someone in my startin 5.Everyone is atleast playin 30 a night and my best player(67 overall SG)is loggin 34.This will be my last year with these five as they're all SR's and bein that they where my first set of freshmen that i recruited i hope to send um out on a good note.On top of that im already worrying about what next years team is gonna look like without all of um and if i cant get a couple more quality recruits.Ahhhhhh.....life at a small school.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
The World was perfect for Nevada basketball at 20-4, 12-0 in the wac then it all fell apart. the wolfpack lost 3 of the final 4 regular season games, then their first round conf tourney game against the 2nd most talented team in the wac fresno st who finished 8th in the league but found enough to knock off a struggling nevada team. all this lead to an 8 seed against Utah in first round. Nevada had been projected as a 4 seed before the season fell apart. Utah went on a 7-0 run to break a tie just before halftime and never looked back. Coach Cupp then had decisions to make, his schools all time leading scorer pf rocky cage and his conference player of the year dee assel were graduating and Coach Cupp looked at offers from struggling Wisconsin, Syracuse, and South Carolina teams. in the end i choose the Gamecocks cause 1. i'm an SEC guy and 2 they had me as the their #1 choice where as i was wisconsin and syracuse number 2 or 3 choice but they came calling when their #1 choice went elsewhere. its a very depleted team. i moved my pg to sg and have two fresman whom i didnt recuit rotating the point, and my sf to pf and things have turned around to 2-1 after losing the opener. albeit a very soft schedule and all non conf games are at home. on the bright side ive moved up to 3rd on a pg from ny and have a couple centers leaning on me as early signing starts soon. the point guard is a game changer he has the number 1 quality i like in a pg.......A+ speed please please please be a gamecock. i havent wanted a recruit like this since i grabbed rock cage in my second year at nevade. he was just a 3 star, but possessed A dunk and A+ dunk standing and as you can see by his monster career it worked out well...... hope i made the right decision, i didnt leave the cupbaord bare at Nevada they are off to a 6-0 start and have tons of young talentComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Sounds like my stretch at WVU, baccVols.
I was 17-1 and ranked #2, then the wheels fall off and the next thing I know I lose five of my next 10 and lose by 32 on the road to #1 Marquette to make my record 21-6 (9-5) heading into my last four regular season games.
BTW, you need to start documenting your legacy in Dynasty HQ!Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
This is the only game that does a good job with hidden gems and busts.
Coming out of my first year at IPFW I rescinded a scholarship to offer a guy I found late. He had pretty good shooting ratings, he gets on my team and the guy isn't good at all. Even worse one of the guys I signed early turned out to be a 47 ovr freshman. That's what I get for having a whole coaching staff that can't scout.
I did manage to find a good center who's already the best player on my team though.Comment

Was scoutin a 3 star SG in AAU when they subbed in this 6'8 210 3 star SF.The kid could stroke it from deep and could rebound as good as any big on the floor. So i go and check im out and he had Georgia as his top school(he's from Augusta,GA) and everyone else way behind. So i decide to put my time in with him just in case GA didnt offer and sure enough he fell in my lap in the off season.
Soon as he gets on my roster i move him from SF to PF and he jumped from a 73 to 75 makin him my best freshmen yet by far.Now a sophmore he's leadin my team in scorin(15ppg) and is super deadly with my PG in the pick and pop.Stuff like this and what you mentioned is what makes this game better then any sports title to date.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
My suggestion is to make your updates as long as you can without boring yourself. For me, I gave each game a paragraph early on in my legacy and usually updated once every 3-4 games. You definitely don't want to burn yourself out with updates that are too long.
Obviously, now my updates contain a full box score and a few paragraphs recap about the game, but it only takes ~20 minutes to do now that I've gotten used to adding in the data and have developed a "flow" of sorts to it. I've given thoughts to shortening my updates again and may do it sometime, but for now I am sticking with what I have.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
off to a 3-4 start with the gamecocks, its gonna be a long season. havent played one team with a better overall than me. im really considering starting fresh because the tennessee job is never gonna come open but with some of the new rosters bruce pearl gets fired after 3 or 4 seasons since tennessee is so bad, so i would have the chance to get the job i really want. in my south carolina bruce is only 58 so i may never get there. decisions decisions. by the way my pg prospect has now moved maryland ahead of me : ( . idid grab a decent center and a beast of a sf in early signing thoughComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
After my previous legacy corrupted I started a new one with 07-08 rosters my first team was south dakota state that was tough tream to build up but I did it and worked my way into the MAC with the Toledo Rockets after 3 seasons and about 85 wins later I got offered a job at Rutgers. I took the Rutgers job because I can never remember when Rutgers was any good. Im into my 3rd year here and my 1st 2 years were ROUGH!!!! I went a combined 25-35 ouch but I got good recruits during that time and now are battling 4 first place in the Big East its tough because im getting my back up plan recruits because all of my plan A recruits are leaving 4 syracuse villanova and wvu. Right now were 16-4 with only one loss in the Big East.Comment
