I've never played an open legacy in my 3 years w the game but was thinking of starting one at Mich State since the job never opens up. My question is does the coaching carosel exist in open legacy? If I want to leave State after a few years will I get job pffers?

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I'm going to need to get a good set of new rosters and start up a new dynasty, that is if I decide to go with a closed legacy. I go back and forth on open & closed every time I pick up this game again. I like being able to accumulate the attribute points for my coach, but I also want to be able to edit recruits so I don't have teams like UNC and Duke signing five point guards a season. What do you all think I should do?!?!??!Comment

So far at USF I am 15-12 (4-6 WCC). It's been a bit of a struggle being in a tougher conference (the WCC's RPI is #5), but it's been a lot of fun. Dominating the Ivy League got old (I won around 50-straight Ivy League games towards the end of my stay in Princeeton).
I had a 1-5 record in my last six games until I finally managed to win 82-55 at Pepperdine.
If you would like to read about my legacy more in depth, check out my legacy thread in the link below. I've had it going for almost two years now!

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I want to start a Career Legacy, but I don't want to see the power houses like Duke and UNC recruiting all the top PGs year after year. Can this be fixed by changing all of the coaches' recruiting preferences? If not, would I be better off taking a crappy team in Open Legacy to be able to edit recruits?
Also, if I start with a lower team, I'd be looking to simulate a bunch of games in order to get through more seasons, but could never come up with a logical system as to which games I would simulate and which to play. Anyone have thoughts on that as well?Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just started a Dartmouth closed legacy with updated 09-10 rosters. I' am getting my butt handed to me, and every game is a struggle. Turnovers and too many missed shots are killing me. My last game though was an absolute heartbreaker, was up 19 to end the first half. Score was 35-16 with my 2-3 zone stopping everything inside and my opponent shooting like .111% from the field. But then I get lit up for 50 something points and lose by 10 hahah. Only in the ivy league.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I just started year 4 (2010-2011) season, my 1st year with Arkansas St. Spent 3 years at New Hampshire.
1st year-13-17 overall. Made it to the championship game lost to Vermont by 10.
2nd year-15-16. Made it to the semifinals in the AEC conference lost to Vermont again.
3rd year-21-11. At one point I was 18-5, I was rocking this year. I beat South Florida, almost beat Georgetown. I lost 5 of my last 6 regular season games though but I won the regular season championship. Lost to Vermont (AGAIN!!!) in the finals. Didn't make the tournament but made the NIT. Beat Cincinnati, but lost to Virginia Commonwealth in the 2nd round.
I had a few job offers, and went with Arkansas St who plays in the Sun Belt. 1st game with them got dominated @ Charlotte 72-40.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Decided I wanted to stick with the open Legacy after all so I decided to run with Uconn. I decided to only play my conference and any kind of tournament games. I'm currently sitting at 13-1 and number 3 in the nation so it's going well so far.Comment

As far as UNC and DUKE singing all the Top PG. I hate the fact that Duke will typically only have 2 guys taller then 6'8 on their team but I really like closed legacies so I just deal with it and will genrally take my much taller team to Duke and beat them just because I hate Duke.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I am now 1-9 with Northern Colorado. I have lost many close games. My only win was in a tournament when I played against Princeton for 2nd to last place.
Its very frustrating, but my crowd stays 90+%, so I can't give up lol.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
