down 25 at half. I come back to within 17 with tough defense. I thought their 60% shooint was bad and it truly being more of a slider issue. But as I tightened up, It dropped to about 48% as they win by 20.

i dont know of many games where you can lose by 20 and still have realistic stat lines. awesome stuff.

its funny but the court edit work I did back when the game released, I never really got to bear the fruit of all that labor, as other games took up time away.. But now im back and the court edits are looking better than ever

Yeah the blowout wins get boring and I think most of us here perfer to build up a program and go from losing to 20+ to losing my 5-10 points and so on. I have been focusing on my non conferance record with Toledo 2 seasons ago i was 4-7, last season 4-7 (5-8 w/ tourny) this season not so good either at 1-2. I was upset by SMU by 4 points and lost to Duke by double digits.

Just lost to UTEP 64-44 last night. Where the hell did that come from? That's another thing I absolutely LOVE about this game, can't take any opponent for granted. They had no business (on paper) occupying the same court as me.

What a BLAST this game is to play still. I just had to bow down and throw my thanks at this game.

I had some amazing plays take place in 5-6 games over the past week.

Play breakdown to coincide with the video:
1. CPU Guard pupmp fakes, crosses me over, and drives in for the reverse over Hibbert. Unheard of cpu AI right there.
2. User pump fakes, gets the CPU up, drives to what looks like an open basket. But instead of a dunk, im fouled. aint that something.
3. Maximum passing allowed me to bounce pass to Hibbert in the lane. Perfect control and execution
4. User fastbreak and Alley-oop
5. CPU Set play. A screen comes and catches me by surprise. Pass, Pass, Pass/ Nice execution here
6. CPU Swings the ball around the perimeter, to the open man who drives, HOP STEPS, pump fakes, gets me jumping, and gets the foul called. FTs... CPU HERE FOLKS
7. CPU throws a perfect spin move on me, and finishes with a nice left handed layup.
8. User going to work with the jab steps. He drives, two hesitation dribbles, into a behind the back, then an and1 layup.
9. CPU set play for #23 right at the top of the key. I reach and Hibbert is exposed to a Lebron James look a like. FACIAL SLAM. and1
10. Jacksonville State USER player with a nice hesitation dribble. slams it home.
11. Double screen set play for CPU. White guy is set up to shoot the three but has an opening. I think he's going to shoot so i jump. CPU teammate gets back just in time for the block. Bad decision to drive when you have no dunking ability.
12. USER screen and roll. CPU comes back into the play just as Im about to dunk. CPU guard stripes it from my user PF
13. Biggest mismatch of the game. 5-6 JSU PG faces up against a 6-5 PG for Minnesota. I run into the guy and am striped. I gotta watch where I go when playing bigger players
14. Blake Griffin USER controlled with a nice spin move at the top of the key, right into a contextual animation where another defender is making contact with Blake. As the shot clock is running down, Blake knocks it down.
15. User Controlled Joey Dorsey blocking some white guy trying to make a layup. YOU HAVE TO GO UP STRONGER THAN THAT. CPu teammate saves it from going OOB.
16. CPU goes up for an alley and with only one guy back, my prescence and alittle bit of contact is enough to cause a miss.
17. Paints cleared out for Derrick Rose. One hesitation move and its over. DUNK
18. User controlled Maryland with a rare fastbreak off a missed FT.
last but not least. 19.
Ball Pressure at midcourt by user causes a loose ball. USER player dives out of bounds for it. CPU teammate picks it up and its a subsequent fastbreak. THe guy who dove gets back up and is in prime position to catch the pass for the fastbreak dunk.

CANNED ANIMATIONS? CANNED EVENTS? NO WAY...

Im speechless here. I very well could be playing this instead of the 2010 nba games. Whatever is going on with this game, it just works perfectly.

all conference, minor slider adjustments.. it plays a helluva game. i downloaded the slider settings when the game released. I forget whos they are

Nice Vid RD. That last play where he deflected the pass and dove for the save looked like it came straight from a real college basketball game. I could totally see a hustle play like that in real life. I might have to get back into this, because I've been disappointed with 2k10 so far (besides the in-season commentating/presentation).

yeah. that was me, the user. I had the ability to control and quickly manuever many players..

three. my guys getting the board are rated 75 and 76.

It's so funny because in the first cut scene, you see me jumping up. I thought I had that. decent Position and what seemed like perfect timing. Then I crapped on by the cpu// Sooo wrong but sooo right at the same time.

Easily the best putback dunk I've seen in 2K8. I've had plenty of them in my UConn legacy but they're always when my guy is pretty much by himself under the rim, never posterizing anyone.

WOW! i forgot how tight the controls were...not animation heavy but yet it gets it job done!
