We really need another College Hoops game. The only thing I didn't like about this game is the music. And I can live with that

        Very informative article.

You could literally talk that much about gameplay alone. I'm talking an indepth look at the fundamentals that this game exudes. They do so much right in that department. Many things that have only gone downhill since. CPU teammates aren't ********.. it just all works out so well with this game. Dare I say, pinnacle of 2k sports basketball?
I use fistofrage's MOP sliders. But then again I use Wake Forest so I'm not how sure they would be if you're a bad team. One thing I love about 2K is that there is a learning curve for each team you use.

I turn off the commentary until the NCAA Torney. I love hearing the bands, especially when I'm playing at FSU. You hear the Warchant during layup lines, still gives me goosebumps.

Looks like this game will be reused again this year. NCAA just will not have the depth that the dynasty has.

I had been using FistofRage's MOP with some adjustments, but recently switched to Auburn's sliders. I knocked down my shooting sliders but 1 and have been getting pretty good games with them. I still have to many "On Fire" nights when I shot +50%, but overall the percentages have come down since I switched to AA's and I'm loving it.

              Cincyfan's MOP sliders are great.

Re: This game owns my soul.

I just got this game, based on the rave reviews here. I am really struggling, especially with blown layups and general defense. Plus I have no idea what I'm doing with recruiting or with playcalling. It's pretty damn frustrating, to be honest, and I feel like snapping my controller in half a lot of the time. That said, I can definitely see why people love this game so much. I'm not really a huge basketball guy (which likely explains some of my problems playing the game) and I don't usually care much for college sports. But I can definitely see myself playing this game a lot over the next few months and trying to improve at it. It sure seems like it would be worth the investment of time and attention. This really is a top-notch and engrossing game.

Uh-oh...I'm getting the 2k itch again. Time to fire it back up with my career mode. From Dartmouth to Colorado State to UConn...let's see how tough the Big East really is!

I got it last night as well, after playing Live 10 online for a few hours I was fiending for some College Hoops. Jumped back into my UConn dynasty and won a crazy game at home vs Marquette 97-92. I think that was the highest scoring game I've had in three years of my dynasty. Both teams were pressing most of the game and the flow was awesome.

I dig Live 10 year this but it's not passing CH2K8.

I bought a video capture card this morning, here's a test, an old replay of Jerome Dyson catching a nice alley oop vs Providence. I plan on doing a lot of mixes going forward, working on stuff with the classic teams to begin with.

Here's a video from '03 Syracuse vs '98 Kansas. This the CPU running my created zone offense, though they're running it against M2M it still works beautifully. It's an overload, Melo catches on the wing and then cuts through to the weak side corner. CPU works the ball and Melo knocks down the three.

Great stuff Ehh, that movement in the Syracuse video is beautiful. I can't believe it's the computer moving the ball like that. Can't wait to see more videos.

Quick question for you if you don't mind: With a capture card, how exactly do you get the video on the computer. Do you hook up the 360 directly to your computer and play off a monitor or Do you hook it up afterwards and transfer replays to it? What kind did you get and how much did it cost?

Well as I said I just got mine yesterday so I only played around with it so far but I just changed the settings in my PS3 so the output goes through component cables instead of HDMI (I think 360 has the same setting options) and hooked the PS3 red/yellow/white cables into the capture device (which is just a USB connection to my PC).

I then used Windows Movie Maker to capture the video, real easy. A small box pops up on your PC that shows what's going on with your PS3, basically a small viewing of what you'd see on your TV.

The two vids I posted are just saved replays though, the box in WMM on your PC is too small to actually play a game. I need to get more cables and splitters to hook everything up so I can play/watch on my TV and record on my PC simultaneously.

Edit like a pro with Pinnacle Studio 26, advanced video editing software packed with powerful tools to transform your creative concepts into cinema-grade productions.

That's what I bought, $52 at Best Buy including tax. Awesome deal, IMO. They have a package (Video Creator Plus) with the same hardware but it also includes their software (which I read online is horrible and WMM is better) and a few other meanginless toys and it's $90. I def recommend what I got though, $40 cheaper and essentially does a better job of capturing video via WMM.
