Re: This game owns my soul.

    OMFG!!!

Im sitting here watching a CPU vs CPU game in my legacy right now and I just saw the most amazing thing ever!

Man I wish I had footage on this...

I'll try to explain it the best i can lol:

Southern vs Alabama A&M (low rated player)

Southern's PG sets up a pick and roll play with their PF, The Pick was successful and the PF had a clean lane to the basket but the help D was there to tip the ball...As the ball was tipped, Southern's PF did this most amazing animation where he reach for the ball (Rondo/PP play in the finals type grab)and tossed it back to the PG on the perimeter as he fell out of bounce...The PG then quickly rotated the ball to the SF as he jumped to try to save a TO, the SF then gives it to the SG for a clean look for a trey ball!!!

Im going to be in Basketball heaven this Fall

I am returning to this game after a year with NCAA 10
        Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

Looks like it may be time to add this game to my rotation.

Tried the demo after skimming through the outpour of love in this thread. Solid, but it's hard to play it after playing some of NBA2k11. I appreciate CH2k8, but don't you guys think it feels a little outdated? I guess that's my way of saying "someone sell me on this game!" It's fun, but I don't know much else about what it offers.

As far as gameplay is concerned, yeah a little. It still plays fine for me on the court but the real reason I can't let this game go is the legacy mode.

The commentary can be hilariously incorrect at times, like you could be just starting a game, up 4-2 and they'll make a comment about how you've scored 13 straight.

It's too bad 2K couldn't just drop a huge patch for this game to update to present day, I'd pay for one.

Damn juke, get yourself a hdtv on the cheap at kmart man haha, you know I think this game looks ill for 07-08, and they absolutely nailed the college atmosphere graphically, its very nice on a hdtv.

The games selling point is its depth and immersiveness. You actually have to take the time to explore its features.

Honestly, the demo and pre-patch the game was pretty average. The patch did wonders for the game - playing the demo really won't give you a taste of the final product that everyone raves about.

I never played the demo but i just picked up the game this summer for the 1st time and like it a lot.

Maybe because it's new to me i don't mind playing it this year. I'm basically using it for the sole purpose of playing with Classic players for most of the schools.

I figure since there won't be a college game for awhile might aswell turn this game into a All Time College Legends game. I haven't played it awhile but i'll get back into around January right when football season is about to end. That is when I think this game will pick back up again and fresh rosters (Classic) wil be a great addition to the game.

This is a such a great game. On the court it is dated when when you compare it to NBA2K11 (which has not left my PS3 and won't for a long time). But like others have said and like the OP in this thread has pointed out, the depth and immersion you get in Legacy mode is still unmatched. A deep game and one you can play for years upon years. The presentation and atmosphere is top notch. Visual Concepts are pros at this aspect.

I will get back into this gem come March when NCAA B-Ball is in full force. Like 2K11 you must be adept with your play book. It is all about ball movement.

Great game and an all time top 5 sports title easy.

I came back today after 1 year while i wait for a patch for nba2k11 (and starting day rosters) and i was expecting Choops to look so old graphically, but to my surprise, it looks awesome after 3 years. Players models are a bit worse, specially faces, but as they represent kids, are not that bad.

The rest of presentation is awesome, from school gyms, to bands, etc and also the band's music, commentators etc and the gameplay is just perfect.

I have felt in love again, and i'm going to start a legacy to keep me busy for a month or so until 2k11 is finally patched.
