I can already see who my big time players are. I'm gonna be counting on them.
Cool, I did one with Princeton too. My star player my first year was Kyle Koncz. He was the Ivy League Player of the Year in fact. We went 18-11 and finished tied for the lead in the conference with an 11-3 record, but lost the tie-breaker to Columbia who had a better overall record (In real life, we would have played a one game playoff to determine the champion, but the game doesn't do that).

Anyways, I am in my fifth season now with the Tigers. I have built up quite a team now and I really plan on staying at Princeton for a very long time. Here are my season-by-season records:

    Year 1: 18-11 (11-3), Missed NCAA Tournament
Year 2: 21-9 (11-3), #12 seed, lost to UNC in the first round of the NCAA Tournament
Year 3: 25-9 (11-3), #9 seed, Sweet 16, lost to Georgetown in the Sweet 16
Year 4: 22-8 (13-1), #8 seed, Lost to Florida in the first round of the NCAA Tournament
Year 5: 2-0 so far with wins at Akron and Minnesota

We got a point guard that trasferred from UCLA for this season and he is AWESOME! He is like the second coming of Steve Nash...he even looks like him.

I keep track of my dynasty at OS, actually, and I have the thread link in my signature.

Oh, yes, this game still owns my soul!

The jump from Small Conference to Mid Major has taken me by surprise, the competition is tough in everygame. I'm losing frequently and I LOVE IT.

Still trying to get my number 1 target from my small school to make the jump next year.

Game never gets old, as much success as you can have, I always want more. I hope these 08-09 rosters will be as goos as advertised...

I played 6 seasons for 2k7, but only got through 2 seasons for 2k8. I'm sure once these new rosters come out and basketball season creeps closer and closer, I'll pop it in again and go to work.

Re: This game owns my soul.

Year 2 for the Western Illinois Leathernecks ended last night in one of the craziest games I've ever played.

Sporting the #6 seed for the second year in a row, I met up with #3 seed Memphis in the Sweet Sixteen, whom I defeated on a buzzer-beater the previous year to win the national championship.

The game looked to be over, with 5 seconds left on the clock and Western Illinois at the line for a pair of free throws.

This is where I point out the agony of playing with real FT percentage on, and how this game ruined me to the point that I will never do it again.

I say that, because my best FT shooter missed the second attempt (on a "perfect" release), leading to a Memphis timeout, a quick 3 pointer that was missed by Mack, a long-rebound that fell all the way back to Dozier (the guy who threw the ball in bounds) and a shot from almost half court that tied it up and sent it to OT.

In the second OT, I had the ball with about 30 seconds to go and the shot clock turned off, so I drove it into the paint with my point guard and drew a foul with 5 seconds to go. This time, not one but two "perfect" free throws go clanking off the rim, and we go to a 3rd OT.

At that point, the game was pretty much over, as Memphis seemed to spend the entirety of all three OTs with a full "6th man" bar, while my team was walking around at 60-70 stamina and no "6th man" energy to pick them up.

My PG fouled out early in the 3rd quarter, and Memphis ended up winning easily in the 3rd OT.
The good news is that my performance got me a contract offer from St. Mary's in the WCC, which is the same league as Gonzaga, and the 8th best conference in the game in my legacy.

Star SG David Nurse ended the game with 68 points, going 20-38 from behind the arc.

Re: This game owns my soul.

Year 8 with UC Davis, I entered the tournament undefeated(29-0) with a #2 seed. First game was a cake walk against Sam Houston St, beating them by 20. The second game was the most ridiculous game i've ever played. Went into double OT against Alabama winning 133-122. Absolutely no defense at all with both teams raining 3s. My sweet sixteen matchup was against the Duquesne Dukes who just upset Seton Hall.

After playing Alabama, i thought this will be an easy win. I will never do that again. I lost 81-74 ending my perfect season. Their starting C, Peyton Dickey, abused me all game scoring 23 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.

I still love this game even after playing 300+ games.

I'm 8-14 with my alma mater in my new legacy on PS3. The majority of the games have been cpu vs. cpu but I coached the last one and got a 2-point win in conference over Bethune-Cookman when Jimmy Hudson hesitated then took and missed the last second 3-pointer.

                    Love this game!

I played one of my legacy games two nights ago and I was so amazed. I LOVE bench points. My 59 rated SF came in the game after my star SF was stinking up the joint and promptly hit a three (his rating is about 2 cellphone bars from the three point line). The next trip down the court he banged another three in. I was so happy. He had 17 points in just the first half, and ended the game with 25 I think, leading my team to victory.

Re: This game owns my soul.

Just completed my first season with Western Michigan (6th season in legacy).

I choked away an 11 point lead with 2:25 left to go in the conference championship game. They took the lead on a backdoor cut with about 40 seconds to play. I was holding milking the clock down trying to get one good shot. Ran the pick and pop and the sg guard jumped it and picked it off.

Makes the two free throws so now i'm down 3 with 3 seconds to play. Throw it to half court and call timeout. Try to set up a play off the inbounds for 3 and its not working so I call another time out. Finally I just say eff it and inbound it to the top of the key to my backup sg with the 3 icon. He takes one dribble and knocks down the game tying 3. I run around the house like a kid.

The same player ended up getting the go ahead tip in with about 8 seconds to go in overtime, so we pulled off the win. We got eliminated in the second round of the tournament but it was the most entertaining season if had yet

i just started a legacy where im only doing coaching, as thats what i am wanting to do as a career(as well as teacher). The first game i was up about 10 midway through the first half, im eastern illinois, and they came back, somehow with a few seconds left we have the ball, we run a play, get it so martin(who is the best 3 point shooter on the team) and he drains the 3 to win the game. I've played 2 games, and so far he is leading the ncaa in points with averaging like 31 a game. I basicly live and die by the 3, but its working out so far, i love the 3pt wing and sf weakside, and even the sg spotup, but i need to find 1 more play in teh motion playbook to get more inside.
