Face it dude those coaches are better than Flip. They've done more than he ever has done and he has the best player in the NBA. Every secondary player Flip has gotten he hasn't been able to control.

Re: Brown is out
Just a question:
Why are some ppl suggesting Chuck Daly? The guy must be in his 70s now and his brand of basketball is too much of a throwback to be successful in the current NBA.
EDIT: tho i'd love to see Daly patrolling the sidelines again. I think he was a great coach.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Originally posted by slymm21Yeah the west was real week with Hakeem and Clyde, Barkley and KJ and thunder Dan, KEmp and Payton, a healthy Robinson...real weak
KJ and Majerle (my favorite player) were never Championship material once Barkley left.
Yes, Houston was great during that stretch in the mid 90's...
But, look at it this way.... even if I were to concede that Houston, Pheonix, San Antonio and Utah were all good to great teams... that doesn't stop the West from being weak during that period.
Most people consider the East weak in the last 4 or 5 years... that doesn't mean that Indiana, New Jersey, Detroit, Philly, and Miami haven't had very good teams.
The West was down...period.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

I guess time will tell. Detroit is a gifted team that loves playing Defense but can grow stagnant in the offensive halfcourt. Flip, if anything, is known for his offensive sets.
Win-Win to me.
