Re: Lebron James game vs. Oak Hill

Ummm, Oak Hill pretty much is made up of all Division 1 prospects. Its a recruited high school team, that is why they are not allowed to play in the Virginia State Championships. Oak Hill will beat Lebron James's team, just like they did last year.

I will watch, just to be curious in watching this guy.

Actually, they've been in the top 10 for the past 10 years....

Semantics...that's pretty much what I said, right? Just more specific? The top 10 is part of the top 25 right, lol?

Anyway, I was just saying it should be a really good basketball game, James or not. Not just "lets show James on national tv". I'll definitely be watching...I love good HS basketball.

I'll take Akron, they only lost by 2 points last year and only 1 or 2 the year before.

Be prepared for a show, Lebron likes to entertain.

Good maybe he can toss his letter jacket into the crowd or sign my yearbook

Early entry killed the NBA. If they have any hope of coaxing middle america and its money into watching the NBA they need to force kids like Lebron to go to college for 3-4 years. If they can't hack college there is always the And 1 tour for people like that.

Darius Miles and Al Harrington, we won't even remember these cats in 5 years.

I believe if you got the talent, then he can go to the NBA whenever he wants.
I'm on the Bandwagon also, thats just because I use to see Kevin Garnett play in H.S. And that boy was born to be in the NBA.

Ok here is the thing. If you go to Usbasket.com or nbadraft.net, look at all the cats that left high school early and are now in the mexican league or something. They could have gone and started on their education free of charge. now they are playing ball for less than what I make. Its just sad to see talent wasted.

Not only seeing their talent wasted, but their livelihood wasted also.

Some of these guys are some of the most uneducated guys around. That's not meant as an insult, because they don't have much control over it. They grow up in bad neighborhoods with poor schooling systems, so they don't get a good education. When they finally do have the chance to get a great education at a freaking college, the NBA welcomes them with open arms.

The NBA might be f*cking with their talent when they let them come in early, but they're moreso f*cking with their lives when they let them come in early.
