Good foul by him... cuz Kobe was about to dunk baseline and make Raja part of a highlight.

Good game so far, 8 point suns lead at the half. I expect Kobe to have a huge second quarter.
Man, Nash just said if we tightened up we could be up 15.
The Lakers had more unlucky shots/breaks, than the Suns. So many almost and1's, layups bobbled out and whatnot. If LA gets a bit of luck then they might just take it.Comment

True, but its kinda like picking your poision. Going over the screen can be just as bad or worse when LA is giving up so many layups.Originally posted by slymm21he still goes under too many screens and has trouble staying in front of the better point guards of the league.
Its really tough to sto this PHX offense. The way to beat them is slowing the game down, posting up or attacking the basket NONSTOP, and making them make shots.
If you can take away their fastbreak (yes harder said than done but there's a way to do it or come close to it), make them take outside shots and not take bad, quick shots on the other end, you'll give yourself a chance to win.
LA only down 8 at half. I think they should be fortunate. Missed a lot of gimme's and has too many FTs and shots rim in and out. I like the way Kobe's playing though, If he continues to not force things and give his teammates these good looks, LA has a chance.Comment

Oh, hey. How convenient. Ask Nash about Kobe AGAIN. You know, b/c he scored his jersey number in points in the first half. AMAZING FEAT!Comment

Brankles, are you kidding me, do you expect Phoenix to keep playing like this through the playoffs, let's give them the trophy now then, as 40 points a quarter cant be matched by any team in the NBA. Oh wait, the lead has shrunk giong into half time. This game aint over, and this series is definitely not over. Phoenix is riding a wave of momentum right now, but the Lakers are getting easy shots, they just haven't been putting them down. That will all change. Odds are, each game will be a barnburner towards the end.Comment

I have to agree with Nash. The Suns missed some wide open 3s in the 2nd quarter which would have put the game out of reach. It's only a matter of time. Smush will come back down to earth and with and Bryant shooting below 30%, it's got all the makings.Pistons Tigers Flames Stars Lions Marlins Falcons

I would counter Mark Jackson by saying that pulling on the jersey could easily have altered the shooter's shot, and thus it did in fact impact the play.Enjoy football? Enjoy Goal Line Blitz!Comment

if a ref sees a pull on a jersey, he calls it every time-it just looks too obvious when the guys jersey flys a foot away from his body, i dont care what time in the game it isOriginally posted by JimplicationI would counter Mark Jackson by saying that pulling on the jersey could easily have altered the shooter's shot, and thus it did in fact impact the play.NBA-Timberwolves

They have lost to the Lakers a total of 2 times in 2 years... one of those games Nash sat out.
I can see your "hot" argument against a team like the Mavericks or Spurs... but not against the Lakers, who are a bad defensive team.
Of course the series isn't over and the game isn't over... but more than likely, the Suns are going to win the series in four or five games, with most of their wins being blowouts.Comment
