Thats all well and good but all of this is made under the assumption that she wasnt crazy in the first place. Tons of guys (myself included) have excused crazy behavior by a woman at the beginning of a relationship because she was fine. No excuse for hitting a woman but lets not assume he made her crazy...she may have been from the beginning.

True, that could've been the case, but the bottom line is he made it much worse.

I agree that women get away with alot of junk, but that doesn't mean there should be a green light to chin check them. That solves nothing and makes things worse.

Nobody says that it's cool to give a chick one across the lips.... I wouldn't, and I would bounce before getting to that point. But there are some crazy females, who do all sorts of stuff... And they are usually mixed up with a cat who has shown an inclination to giving them one across the lips. A lot of times they stay in these relationships without either party changing the dynamics that leads to fisticuffs.

I was just about to make a post about this. I will never understand how a woman would stay in a relationship where they get hit on a regular basis. The first time, ok you might get a pass if you think it can be worked out but if you get hit again and stay then too bad, I don't care anymore.

But that doesn't mean she deserves to keep getting hit. I used to think the same way about women who are in abusive relationships. But there is a reason that many women stay with the men that beat them. I don't know that reason. Nobody may never know. Not even the women know. And it usually takes the extreme for these women to finally break away. That doesn't mean that the man has an excuse for cracking her jaw when he gets upset at her hijinks.

Who's to say what happened... Neither one of us were there, so it can very well go both ways. But I believe if he beat her down on a regular basis, it'd be very hard to keep that a secret, especially since she does TV work on occasion. It would send up a massive red flag.

I don't agree or condone striking women, but you must admit that there are some who will push dudes' buttons, and wind up getting hit... I broke up with a chick once because of stuff like that. She was hot as heck, but she had issues... Very jealous, always thought I was running around on her. She was always accusing me of stuff, and I would calmly tell her that she was tripping. She'd keep pushing me, and it seemed the only time that she got the point was when I raised my voice, screaming at her. I'm normally a mellow kind of cat, and it takes a LOT to make me lose it... A LOT. I realized then that I couldn't be in a relationship with her... Marriage? I do think she'd have driven me to the point where I'd at least seriously consider laying a hand on her.

That's why I say split before you hit. (dang, I should trademark that...)

In a way, you're starting to understand what I'm saying... It happens... Doesn't make it right or wrong, but it happens.... She doesn't deserve to get hit, but a pattern has already been set... I act a fool, call him names, whatever, and I get my jaw touched... Kinda like sticking your hand near fire... It's gonna hurt every time.

And usually, neither party is mature enough to change whatever it is that leads them to duking it out... On some warped level, they might feel that physical abuse equates to "love". I've seen/heard this many times... My wife's sister is one of those broads who couldn't keep her mouth shut, always mouthing off to her boyfriend... One time she was dating this Dominican cat, and this little fool had a temper on him... When he would come check her at my mother in law's house, she would be cool at first, then start with insults and stuff. I could see dude's blood boiling, but he kept it cool because he respected my mother in law's house... But I used to tell my wife, if they ever mess around and get married, he WILL dislocate her jaw the first chance he gets. Because those initial issues had never been addressed.

Some dudes just don't know how to deal with women on that level, which leads to their beating on them when they get frustrated. In some of these cases, the blame often goes both ways.

No offense but sometimes, you have to take the fall in order to continue to live out life. What happens when he denies the accusation? Then she files for divorce or whatever and takes EVERYTHING x2. It's just like when this pastor was accused of "raping" this girl he was praying with. The girl has a history of coming onto grown men and stuff like that, this pastor had no prior history of messing around with anyone other than his wife. His wife was in no conflict with the situation. Still, the man realized that if he didn't plead guilty, he might get some jailtime. Just because it's on the report doesn't mean that it happened. This society is man run but it caters to women the most. They get the benefit of the doubt. On thing that people are looking at is how small she is compared to how big he is. Small women can do damage. There are all types of women who are quite strong for their size. Size is an overrated attribute nowadays. Heck, think of all the soft big men in the league.

Has anyone ever seen Jason Kidd get into a fight or altercation on the court or any kind of conflict at anytime while playing ball from high school to present day? Usually, you can tell a person's type of character by what you see and hear from them. I'm not picking sides, but everything that seems to come out of Juwana's camp (LOL) is an off-guard type of comment. The responses are kind of iffy. Doesn't it seem unusual that Jason filed, though he's supposedly the abuser? Abusers aren't filing. Never heard of someone who clocks his female upside the head getting a restraining order and staying away from the house. Another thing, did she not have the situation where she sent the son to get the cell phone at the game and shout obscene gestures? That doesn't count against this case? I think she was seen doing it more than once AT HER HUSBAND!! That's not normal. If you guys think that Jason Kidd was just an abuser from the start, then you guys definitely need to hear the whole story. Here's another article.

There's no excuse for hitting a women. However, there are some chicks who will provoke a guy to the brink knowing they can throw them in jail. I completely agree with the Hot girl comment. A lot of them, not all, but a lot of them have this mentality that men are obligated to obey their every command. If they don't get their way, they'll go bezerk. If what Jason alleges about her is true, that's some crazy s*** man.

There is still no excuse for hitting her though....

On a related topic, how does this guy still play like he does with this circus going on around him? He isn't super athletic, what he does well takes tremendous focus and brains. Amazing that he can have all this on his mind and play the way he does.

I think they are both at fault, and for the sake of the kids, what Jason Kidd is proposing is probably the best thing for them. However, judging from police and media reports, it doesn't seem like Mrs. Kidd would be the type to lay down and accept what he's offering without a fight. This could get ugly, at the expense of the kids.
