I think that even if all the Kings players are healthy, Lakers will be the favorites...there's no stopping them in the playoffs if they're at the top of their game...not even the Kings can stop them...

Were the Lakers not at the top of their game last year? You remember that, right? You remember when the Kings halted the Lakers, almost indisputedly outplaying them in the series. Remember that?

Now, this season, the Kings have only gotten better, while the Lakers have gotten worse. And the Lakers are the universal favorites? Yeah, among Laker fans.

I have a hard time even favoring the Lakers over the Mavs. Shaq is completely useless against the Dallas offense, which leaves Kobe to guard Nash, Finley, and Nowitski. If Dallas hardens up and plays some real D consistently, I'd take them over the Lakers.

It's true, Kobe and Shaq step it up in the playoffs, and Robert Horry will be completely invisible minus one huge shot, but what about the rest of the team? Some of the top teams in the west just have too many weapons, which is exactly why only the Lakers fans are favoring the Lakers this year.

I am a Laker fan, and I gotta say, although they are playing well right now, not great yet, the Kings are the ones favored to win. Don't try to be delusional and think that just because we've won it for the last 3 years, we're a lock to win it this year. Every year is differnt, and all the good teams out there have only gotten better. What did the Lakers get? Older, and have added players that have yet to learn our offense.

And while it's true we do turn it on in the playoffs, we don't know what will happen this year. I have faith that we will win it all, but you have to keep an open mind and recognize the fact that there are serious contenders out there.

Finally a Laker fan who isn't biased. Now I will admit I hate the Lakers because I am tired of seeing them win, BUT I will also say they do have a chance to win it this year but I definitely don't think they are the favorite (except to Laker fans) to win it all, or a lock to win it all.

I remember watching the Finals last year and seeing the Referees rape and pillage the Kings out of a NBA championship, but that's all over, and besides the Kings should have handled their business and taken the refs out of the equation by playing good basketball. It is going to be real interesting come playoff time in the western conference. I just wished the Eastern Conference was as competitive. In the east you can play .500 basketball and get in. But let me stop now cause I'm straying off topic.
