Great a Laker love fest!! I'll say this if they are able to win the west from the 7th or 8th seed I'll be impress but Lakers fans don't think that the Mavs and the Kings are sacared of the Lakers, it won't be easy!! Right now the Lakers are the 9th seed. Which team 6 - 8 will fall out ??

Did not Tmac take criticism for doing something similar, yet he gets pounded because of the record O has. Why is it okay for Kobe only. Does he need to feel good about himself that bad that he has to trash talk with a mediocre at best record. Even the "BIG Talks Too Much" hasn't been trash talking.

Rings, baby!. It's all about that diamond studded $50,000.00 dolla' ring. Or in Kobe's case, three.

No but seriously. It's about the winning of Championships. Plus it doesn't help that they play the same position. MJ never really had that type of "who's better than me at my position" type of scenario's working with him during his prime time years. So we don't know how that would have went.

It's different now and T-mac is challenging Kobe. The media doesn't know how to handle it. They just look at Total wins and the total rings # and base everything off of that.

Yeah, I would absolutely love this. It would be great! Then maybe they would bitchslap the Queens in round 2. Maybe that would shut up a lot of these overnight Dallas and Sacramento fans. Personally, I think Portland is the team to beat in the west anyway.
No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?

I tend to disagree. I've heard many people say they hate him, but they love his game. Which he has an abundance of. I think he's awesome. Just mind-boggling how good he is, and he's still so young. Well, I guess that's hating him though. Oh well. There is no neutral than, everyone has their opinion.

i'm back, been reading through this thread and somehow i get the feeling that the consensus opinion is that the Lakers need to prove that they can beat the Kings/Mavs. I don't know where that comes from, I thought the Mavs and the Kings were the ones with something to prove Anyways, needless to say, the W.C playoffs will be VERY interesting. And i really really hope we get to see the Mavs or Kings bounced early, although I'm sure there will be a million and one excuses/conspiracy theories about why. anyways....

I was going to say something like this as well. With all this talk about the Kings and Lakers, it seems that awful lot of people are forgetting about the 3rd place team in the west that has won 9 of their last 10. Like them or not, those potheads up north are playing pretty fantastic basketball.

That is true a loss is a loss, and the Kings should have handled their business and took the refs out of the equation by playing good basketball, but I don't think anyone can deny that the officiating in game 6 I think was horrible. I am not a Kings fan but if the shoe was on the other foot I'm pretty sure all the Laker fans would be b*tchin' and moanin' all the same.

I used to hate him 100%, for about 3 years. Now i'm more on the "I love his game, but I hate everything else" side of things. Which, percentage wise means I'm a 50/50 fan of his.

It's really hard hating someone when they just completely defeat the competition, scoring or defensive wise. I can't hate on his game any more. It's too tough.
