I tend to disagree. I've heard many people say they hate him, but they love his game. Which he has an abundance of. I think he's awesome. Just mind-boggling how good he is, and he's still so young. Well, I guess that's hating him though. Oh well. There is no neutral than, everyone has their opinion.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I used to hate him 100%, for about 3 years. Now i'm more on the "I love his game, but I hate everything else" side of things. Which, percentage wise means I'm a 50/50 fan of his.

It's really hard hating someone when they just completely defeat the competition, scoring or defensive wise. I can't hate on his game any more. It's too tough.

I was going to say something like this as well. With all this talk about the Kings and Lakers, it seems that awful lot of people are forgetting about the 3rd place team in the west that has won 9 of their last 10. Like them or not, those potheads up north are playing pretty fantastic basketball.

          <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

No one has been saying anything because Portland has been doing their thing kind of quietly, and if they can keep things together and not fall apart at the seams then I think they are also a serious contender, but I'm not sure how they match up with other teams. Since I live in MD and can't afford NBA pass (or the wife won't let me have it whichever you prefer) I can't really comment on how they matchup with the other top teams in the west. But it will definitely be interesting to see if they can hold it together.

I never said that the Kings and Mavs were scared of the Lakers...all I said was that in the playoffs turn it up big time and that is why I think they are favored to win...if LA DOES get knocked out in the playoffs, then I'm pretty sure Sacramento will win...but the Kings are not the favorites in my opinion because they haven't proved they can beat LA in the playoffs...I've already heard the same crap about Game 6 and that whole series but stil...look at Game 7 then. Even if the referees were screwing the Kings, Kings should've hit their freethrows. I know now that Kings and Mavs are probably NOT scared of the Lakers, but I still think Lakers are the favorites this year, despite their record.

I HATE Kobe. I hate Shaq. But there's no denying they have game. I still think Kobe's overrated because he is no Michael Jordan, but he is one of the best players in the league today. That said, if the Lakers do make it to the playoffs they'll probably win it all, although I sure as hell hope not. And I certianly won't be watching the playoffs until they get knocked out. When the Lakers were losing, I was enjoying it, but I knew it wouldn't last. I knew they'd make a run and that's what they're doing right now. Right now, I'm not all that interested in the NBA, because I do expect the Lakers to win it all. They've got two players and a coach that know how to win and what it takes to win. I'm hoping that if they do make the playoffs they'll get knocked out sooner or later and the Kings go on to win the NBA championship. But I'm really hoping they don't make the playoffs at all.

I actually think the Lakers would rather play the Kings and have a team like Dallas try their luck on Portland. The Portland Trailblazers were the Kings a few( or couple?) years ago when they took the Lakers to 7(I think) games.

And the Trailblazers have always hated the Lakers. They've been getting shafted so long that I think they have the best shot of the bunch.
