HUGE loss for Golden State.
The game was exactly as they'd have wanted...end to end, 116-112 high scoring, they got the Jazz to play THEIR game...
Wide open three ball to win it.
Everything they'd have wanted.
Yet, they lost.
Tough, tough loss. Reggie said it best "those losses are worse than blowouts on the road".Comment

That can be said for any team though. When your shots aren't falling.. you lose. It's not rocket science.
Regardless.. that was a HUGE win for the Jazz... I say the split each home/home on the first 4 games, and game 5 will decide who wins this series. Should be entertaining to say the least. Gotta give respect to Deron Williams. Kid flat out played tonight. Boozer... still bitter of the Cleveland fiasco, so no props for him...Twitter - WTF_OS

Damn what a crazy game. It was seriously tied most of the game, and I knew that if the Warriors couldn't pull away with a big enough lead that the Jazz would take it. Too close for comfort. And Al stepped up bigtime in the playoffs, finally. Good win for the Jazz.NBA 2K11 My Player: 6'11 Athletic Center/PF 58ovr Rockets

Al did play great about time! I thought Nelson should have had him in there at the end instead of Biedrins who was utterly worthless when he is not rebounding.Comment

The problem for Golden State is that they are too small. They MUST shoot high percentage to have a chance to win. Utah has the rebound advantage. When the shots percentage drops they are going to struggle.Comment

youre like a broken record - when ANY team's shot percentage drops, they usually struggle. Sure we live and die by the 3, but this team can penetrate if they want.I do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can'tComment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
They penetrate when they are shooting a high precentage. All teams do suffer when their shot percentage drops, but when you lose the rebound advantage you got to get more turnovers or shoot higher percentage.Comment

Absolutely right.
GS aren't just conceding rebounds...they are getting eaten alive. I think they had something like 19 fewer today and Boozer had ten ORB's.
That's a lot of second chance opportunities to concede. GS will have to shoot a very high % to win any games in this series, as you say.
I keep thinking "these guys style, man it's going to dry up soon...they are going to get blown out big time"...
To their credit though, they keep making big shots and doing their thing.
As long as the shots keep falling, they'll be okay.
If the J's dry up though...they are going to get blown out as they get few 'easy' points (put backs, ORB's, easy post up points)Comment

A team that keeps making it's shots is not luck. It might not work all the time, but it's not luck.
Get your ideas straight.Comment

Nash is such a great leader. Always pushing his guys, never satisfied. Always playing hard.
Whether or not you agree with him as an MVP, you have to love a Steve Nash as a player and competitor. Don't know where that came from, but I do know we are witnessing greatness in that guy. I wish he could get traded and go on to win multiple titles.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment
