Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
the post i responded to implied that Dirk is "usually" good in the regular season but the postseason is a different story for him. and that is not correct.
actually, Dirk usually raises his game in the postseason, and he probably will this season also. One game doesnt tell us that he is going to have a bad postseasonOriginally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
Probably because the Mavs are changing there strategy the first game versus a #8 seed. I thought it was a dumb move by Avery, but let's be honest here a healthy Warrior club the whole season is probably a #4 seed in the West so I would say they are one of the strongest #8 seeds in awhile.Comment

They weren't healthy the whole season until the last 15 or so games. Had they been healthy they very well could have been a 4 or 5 seed.Comment

What was the Warriors record this season against the other W.C. playoff teams?Comment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
No exaggeration. The reason there record vs western conference is barely above .500 is due to injuries (J-Rich has missed 31 games and Baron has missed 19) and having Dunleavy-Murphy before the mid-season trade which turned the team around. Warriors have played great since they have been healthy finished the year 16-5 (14-5 vs western conference). Also since going to the starting lineup of Baron Davis/Monta Ellis/Jason Richardson/Stephen Jackson/Al Harrington the Warriors are 10-1.Comment

01-02
regular season 23 ppg / 10.2 rebounds per game
playoffs 28 ppg / 13.1 rebounds per game
02-03
regular season 25 ppg / 9.9 rebounds per game
playoffs 25 ppg / 11.5 rebounds per game
03-04
regular season 22 ppg / 8.7 rebounds per game
playoffs 27 ppg / 11.8 rebounds per game
04-05
regular season 26 ppg / 9.7 rebounds per game
playoffs 24 ppg / 10.1 rebounds per game
05-06
regular season 27 ppg / 9.1 rebounds per game
playoffs 27 ppg / 11.7 rebounds per game
only once has Dirk's regular season producion dropped in the playoffs (04-05 ppg dropped from 26 to 24).Last edited by ZB9; 04-23-2007, 05:49 PM.Comment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
And congrats on holding the Mavs to 85 when they shot 35.3% from the field, Dirk scoring 14 and Stack not even scoring, do you honestly think they will keep doing that throughout the series? I don't think so. Not saying the Warriors are a horrible defensive team, but when you've got guys missing open jumpers like the Mavs were last night, you don't have a real great shot at winning.
And lol at jmood trying to say Mavs fans are gonna complain about the refs and Dirk hasn't stepped up in the playoffs. Let's try not following everything people like Kash and KDRE say bro, they hate the Mavs.
Also, something that irritated, whoever the hell was calling the color commentary last night refused to say something half good about the Mavs.
Here's an example, Dirk knocks the ball out of a Warrior's hands after they swing the ball over, the commentary:
"Great job by the Warriors to swing the ball there. Dirk knocked the ball away there, but a wonderful job by Golden State nevertheless."
WTF, how about actually crediting Dirk for stopping an open shot or drive? I understand most people are rooting for the Warriors in this series, who doesn't want to see an underdog win(I'll be rooting for them if they get past the Mavs), but that's just silly to show bias you would see on the local channel.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
