Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
Just because Dallas is the #1 seed and the Warriors are #8 doesn't mean a comeback is coming. I know the Lakers blew a 3-1 last year but in that case the Suns were really that much better than the Lakers unless Kobe and the others played a perfect game. In this case though, the Mavericks are not much better or even better for that matter than the Warriors. The Warriors would be a top 3 team in the West if they had this team for the whole season. This isn't as much as an upset as people are making it out to be. This isn't a fluke, the Warriors are a really good team and they're not gonna choke.Comment

Ehh...what are you so pissed at Arenas for? Any NBA player who will sell 8,000 personalized autographed jerseys plus a shoe to his fans for $25 each is pretty damn cool in my book. The NBA needs more players like him.Last edited by imaged; 04-30-2007, 04:31 AM.- universal truth is not measured in mass appeal -Comment

If that's about the jerseys and shoes, I don't get what's wrong with that. That's pretty nice of him, actually.Comment

From Kerr's article @ Yahoo...
One big difference? After the Suns lost a heartbreaker to L.A. in Game 4 last year, Steve Nash calmly went to the podium and congratulated Kobe Bryant, talked about how winning Game 5 would change the momentum and how his team could still come back and win the series. Nowitzki, on the other hand, told the Dallas Morning News on Saturday that if his team lost Game 4 "the season will be pretty much over." Not exactly what Dirk's teammates needed to hear from their leader.Comment

I disagree Matrix.
I think that will actually give the Mavs something.
Because they lost Game 4, they'll actually get something from that. They don't want their season to be over, they'll be playing for their entire season in one game on Tuesday, then again on Thursday if they win, and again on Saturday if they win. Obviously it's not the greatest thing to say, but I don't think it's going to be detrimental to the team.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
