This series isn't over yet. You have to win 4 games to win NOT 3. I bet Dallas wins in 7. IF they don't Steve Nash has the MVP wrapped up. Dirk just hasn't brought it.

Yes, because we know you are psychic.
Nice game GS. I really thought Dallas would have pulled out a win last night, God knows they needed. It's a very hard thing to come back from down 3-1 and win the series but we all know it can be done. Phoenix did it last year, Detroit did several years ago. So with that said, try to contain yourselves Warrior fans, I'd hate to see these boards if the Mavs managed to pull it off still. We'd never hear the end of it.
I am pulling for the Mavs to come back, not because I like them, but I did have them in the Finals this year lol. Still, it's hard to not root for the Warriors, they are playing some inspiring ball right now, it's a great thing to watch. I can't help but become a "believer" myself. It's gotta be a sweet thing to be longtime fan of GS right about now, they are doing it big. This will be one of those all time classic series 20 years from now.
Still, if Dallas does lose, I wouldn't mind another Pistons-Spurs matchup with the Pistons winning this time). I loved the first matchup between them, it was the best series since Jordan led the Bulls past Utah for the last time (in my opinion).PS: You guys are great.

Lakers 06 are not the Warriors 07. This 3-1 lead in this particular series is gonna be almost impossible to overcome. Nelson seems to have not only Avery Johnsons number but Dirk's as well.Comment

The reason we are having so much trouble with g state is the fact that nellie has 4 or 5 guards on the court at any given time. You counter that with a low post based offense, which we don't have. Neither of our bigs is a low post threat offensively, and Dirk is a perimeter player. The Sports Preacher

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
why would someone take away an advantage to appease bitter fans. You guys can't seriously thinking that a player any player would ever ask a ref to stop making calls.
Also for the assumption that Wade will be looked at as a lesser player because he goes to the line alot... Name a NBA HOF that didnt get calls in thier favor. You guys have to give it a rest.
Lastly to all the Mavs fans who hate Wade cause of the calls he recieved LAST year in the finals.. You should direct your energy towards hoping that Dirk and company dont get sidetracked like they did last year. When your superstar player chocked and even admited he settled for jumpers because he thought her wasnt gonna get the calls.
Congrats to the MAVs on thier season so far but the playoffs well have the games get called even tighter and they better focus on the opponent and not the Zebras or the great regular season will mean nothingComment

It's unfair how much crap Dirk is copping...GS is not even bothering to guard 2 Mavs players at any one time.
I saw so many times last night where Dirk got the ball...he had his man guarding him AND weak side help came AND a third defender slacked over to guard in case he drove...Dirk whipped the ball back to his guards who passed up or missed open J's...
Stack aside, none of the Mavs guards has even looked dangerous for a moment.
Add in that Dampier and Diop aren't even being guarded...and you have a GS team playing 5 quick guys, double and trip[le teaming Dirk and saying "hey, see if anyone else can beat us"
They can't.
If Dallas had ANY scoring ability at C...or ANY of their PG's got hot, GS's D would be absolutely torn apart.
A team like San Antonio would destroy a small line up like this as they can go to the post...and have 3 point shooters.
Dallas needs to somehow get their guards hot. If Terry could catch fire, they could still win it.Comment

The reason why GS is winning this series & is because their bench right now is just raping the Mavs bench. Pietrus & Barnes are just killing the Mavs while Stackhouse except for yesterday & George have been non-existent. If the Mavs are gonna have any chance to get back into this series, their bench is gonna have play much better then they have in this series or it's ADIOS.......Comment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
After watching the game last night, I have a question for Mavericks fans:
Why did Avery Johnson decide to keep DeSagana Diop on the bench for the rest of the game he picked up his 5th foul during the middle of the 4th quarter? I thought he did a pretty good job protecting the inside and at least made the Warriors tentative driving to the basket. And the Mavs did have a 4- to 5-point lead at that point. But once Diop went off the floor, it was all over. The Warriors knew there were no shotblockers on the floor for the Mavs, and they took full advantage of it. And defensively, the Mavs collapsed too much on drive-and-kicks.
In my opinion Avery Johnson should've kept Diop in there even with 5 fouls. Diop didn't stop everything near the hoop, but he did make most of the Warriors think twice about attacking the basket. And the best thing about it was that his teammates didn't have to scramble around whenever someone was beat on the perimeter and leave wide open 3s in the corner. That was what mainly killed them late in the game.

I've actually bothered to watch all the post game press conferences and the body language since game one has been amazing to watch.
Nellie has come in there as cool as you like...while Avery has come in there post games looking like someone's died in the family. After game 3, he honestly looked desolate. His head was down, he was mumbling his replies, he didn't provide a single answer as to why they could turn it around...it was all just we need to have more effort...no real feeling of "this guys in control".Comment
