I've seen about 20 Jersey games on TV since the new year and he's really had a great season.
You could almost give him the MVP$ award...i.e. the best value for money. When Kristic went down, I gave them no hope. He's really stepped up.Comment

Hate to bring up Boozer...sorry Mac, sorry Will...
But can you imagine Boozer against this Nets front line? He'd go for 30 and 20 every night.Comment

I was a Cavs fan for one afternoon only in my life.
When Danny Ferry clobbered Michael Jordan in a playoff gameand MJ stood there like a wuss.

I try to look at the bright side...but really, there is none. Terrible move by Gund/Paxon.

MJ pulled back like he was about to BLAST Ferry...but didn't. Danny Debo'd MJ, lol.
edit Cavs clawing back. LeBron decided to join the festivities. Down 9. Go Cavs! May be too late. Damn, combined 12 points in the entire quarter? Playoff basketball?Last edited by HMcCoy; 05-16-2007, 09:25 PM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

That's not what happened at all, and villifying this guy in this manner is not right.
After the Spurs won the championship (which he was a tremendous part of, and good close friends with Manu) he was a free agent.
Stephen Jackson the way he came into the league was looking for money so he ended up signing a nice size deal with the Atlanta Hawks and played there for a season before being traded to Indiana.
My point is that he had emotional issues back then...
He admitted as much:
"I know a lot of times my emotions go the wrong way and I think Pop is the only one who can control that," Spurs guard Stephen Jackson said.
He's not a kid anymore. He needs to learn to control it. At the moment, he doesn't. That's why I said he's a liability. Tech fouls and 3-17 shooting are liabilities. His shot goes off when he loses his head. He gets into the mentality of "you've made me angry, now i'm going to score on you"...then goes out of the team mode and into his own mode.
Fine if your Michael Jordan and can make guys pay.
Not fine if you regularly have horrific shooting nights.
Nellie said as much:
Coach Don Nelson wasn't as sure, saying he never knows if Jackson will keep his cool.
"That's the problem that I have," Nelson said. "I was really glad that Jackson kept his head in that game and he kept his head up, not down. He kept it down for a short period of time and then got right back into playing. The only one who can really stop him on the floor is himself. When he loses that, then he becomes less ordinary. If he can somehow rise above not getting a call or getting a bad foul, or whatever upsets him, nobody can stop him on the floor."
He's a vet now...time to grow up. That's all I'm saying.Comment
