They've done it! I hope our boys can at least put up a good fight against the Spurs.

I'll take the Spurs. They're just focused right now, but I do see them having one of those brain fart games.
Stopping Tony Parker from penetrating will be one key for Cleveland, and im not sure that's possible with Manu.
Mike Brown will need to get a bit more creative now because Pop isn't a coach you can just slide by.Comment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
I would like to see Tayshaun and Rip stay, and maybe Billups. I'm not a real "fan" of the Pistons, considering I've only been following them since Rip and Tayshaun arrived. I've come to be a big fan of those two, and would follow them wherever they went. The Pistons seem like a good organization, so that draws me into them as well.
I like Billups too, but I think he has lost his passion. He looked off all series, and to me, looked like he didn't try to correct it. I'd like to see him do well, but I wouldn't care as much if he left, than say if Rip or Tayshaun left. I still think Billups, Rip, and Tayshaun make a great combo. I would like for them to stay together, but I can see why Billups would leave.
However, I am not a fan of Sheed. He has no class, and he complains way too much. Seems after every loss he flips out and tosses his shirt, or gets in the refs face, or does something to hinder the team.
And as for Flip. I've never been a fan of his either. I didn't like him with the Timberwolves, and I did not like him with the Pistons. I'd like to see them go after someone else.

Congrats to the Cavs, and LeBron. I may not be a fan of the team, but they do deserve it. They outplayed the Pistons in this series.Comment

Oh, by the way, I'm sure most of you don't read Detroit newspapers, but if you did, you'd know that *gasp* the Pistons were once again filled with infighting and bickering down the stretch in this series.
This is from Game 5.
Get the latest local Detroit and Michigan breaking news and analysis , sports and scores, photos, video and more from The Detroit News.
There were signs all game that the Pistons were battling themselves.
Webber, after firing up a bad shot and picking up his fourth foul, in the third quarter, yelled to the bench, apparently at assistant coach Ron Harper, “Just let me play my game. Let me play my game.”
Later, Billups and Hamilton appeared to have a brief discussion over who would shoot a technical foul free throw. Hamilton had made five straight at that point, Billups had missed two. Billups kept the ball and missed the free throw. Then, to compound the problem, he fired up a rushed 3-pointer.
Wallace was angry, apparently at coach Flip Saunders, for his decision to go small for a stretch against the Cavaliers. Saunders did that because Antonio McDyess had been ejected.
Between the third and fourth quarters, Wallace and assistant Dave Cowens engaged in a fairly animated discussion. Mostly Cowens was listening to Wallace’s complaints about the strategy.
Wallace later got peeved with Billups for a couple of his decisions.
Team harmony, this was not.Comment

Billups' decision making this series was bad. He took a lot of careless shots, instead of giving it to a teammate. Your post solidifies this statement, when you say he took the technical instead of giving it to Rip.Comment

Congratulations to the Cleveland Cavaliers for advancing to the NBA Finals. They played like they really wanted it, and they deserved it. I'll be rooting for them all the way to beat the Spurs.

i actually think this will be a series that the spurs will win in 7 games. for the cavs to beat detroit the way they did in this series u have to give them more credit. they actually match up as well as u could ask for with the spurs. they have big guards, quick guards, shooters, rebounders, and then u throw lebron on top of that and u really have a great team when they are at there best. and they are playing at a level that is as high as any team in the league right now.Comment

I actually like LeBron because
1... he choses to make the right play over trying to be a ball hog all for his own
2...the guy trusts his teammates no matter what and he has no qualms about Daniel Gibson, Gibson? getting 30 points (more than himself) in a crucial game for some shine.
In all honesty, I'm tired of the moronic so called experts criticizing players for being unselfish and passing the ball and prasing a losing formula in chucking shots for a one hit her quit her night of pleasure.Last edited by 23; 06-03-2007, 10:46 AM.Comment

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

LeBron let them affect him in that 2nd game and passed up on a good pass to shoot and missed a well guarded shot.
You see the Cavs won with him continuing in his style.
I think he should just play his game and forget the desk analyst because they know better but are too gutless to call it like its supposed to be.Comment
