Barkley, with a great take on Kobe Bryant
Barkley said on his preview show that Kobe is a fine player, but he does not make the players around him better. In other words, he does not raise the level of his teammates. BTW, Charles, Tim, Sean, and others have agreed that Tim Duncan is the most Dominant player of the game right now as I have said REPEATLY. He affects both sides of the ball, defense and offense. If you want to win a championship, you must be able to have a consistent post up player. Duncan is that and more. Garnett is one my favorite player, but he doesn't want to bang down low every night. Thus, they are perimeter team that will not go far in the playoffs.Tags: None -
Re: Barkley, with a great take on Kobe Bryant
Barkley says Tim Duncan is the best player in the NBA and that KG is the best all around.
After watching a few Spurs and TW games this week, I couldn't agree more.
btw, did anyone else find it funny that Kobe's leg was only hurting on defense? like Barkley said?Comment

I have noticed that a lot with him. Maybe it's his psyche, to convince himself he's hurt so that he raises his concentration or something...I don't know. In a way, I can admire that.
No way he is really injured though. Injuries don't dissapear when you have the ball.Comment

Re: Barkley, with a great take on Kobe Bryant
Actually, whenever I play and I'm injured, I only hurt off the court. When I sit down on the bench, I start hurting. But after running and jumping on a few plays, I'm not affecting by the injury as much.
Maybe it's just me..
All I can say is, Kobe has to be feeling good about himself, watching TV after the game, with his face all over the TV and all over the internet...-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Re: Barkley, with a great take on Kobe Bryant
You can't relly tell with the team Kobe plays with.
T.J. on Around ' Horn deboed a gut who was over-rating Iverson as many do by saying he is a 40% shooter Max muted him because he was incorrect he is a 39.9% shooter the last 2 years.
Their sad explanation is he carries the team doesn't cut it with me.Comment

Re: Barkley, with a great take on Kobe Bryant
I don't think it really matters what team a player plays on. If you raise the level of your teammates play, you can do that anywhere, with anyone. I think Kobe definitely doesn't do it like Mike did, but he is getting better. He gives them open looks, that they can't hit, and he creates a lot of things for everyone. He's just got to learn how to use that more. That's ok though. Just give him time, he's only 24. I don't remember MJ raising his teammates play at 24. It wasn't until he was around 27-29 did he start doing that.
As for TD, that man is awesome. He is so solid it's scary. Even when he plays bad, he plays good. He's going to be one of the greatest ever at PF. He might even pass Karl Malone for that honor one day, if he plays long enough.Comment
