            Maybe because Kobe doesn't have an Adidas contract anymore so he doesn't make as much from sportin' their shoes per game?

                it was cheapy because he really had to break the record, he was the one who got the ball for the 40th point, as you watched, he got the ball for horry i guess, in some instances he let others run the clock, but no!! he was really for the record to get that 40 point! the game was over but he really had to take another shot for 40 points!
