Back to back game winners??? Stretching the truth a little their. Technically his shot was the game winner but "game winner" usually means a buzzer beating shot.

One game winner and a shot that gave his team the lead with around a minute to go. He played bad in both those games though??

T-Mac was my pick but he has fallen back into the pack after a couple of bad games in the killer Texas Turnpike! Duncan and KG still doing their thing. T-Mac slightly ahead of Kobe. Any four of those could win it.

    Iverson, too little too late.

lol how is T-MAC over Kobe in ANY way SHAPE or FORM. Kobe TURNED the Lakers around in February with his streak when they needed most. NOW, with playoffs approaching and the Lakers biggest week of the season underway, the Kid hits BACK TO BACK game winners. Thats what I call an MVP.

Do you even watch other teams play ?. T-Mac makes his teammates better. Not only does he average better stats than Kobe, but he does his work in less time, and he turns the ball over less per game. He has hit buckets of big shots throughout the year, but you wouldn't know this.

              You only watch Laker games.

Kobe's biggest subtrator is the fact that Shaq plays along side him. He'll never get the MVP with Shaq on his team. And frankly, he doesn't deserve it. The 3-time champion Lakers actually "needed" him as bad as you said they did just to make the play-offs ? is that a joke ?.

Kobe is a phenom, no doubt about that, but when he gets his own team, he'll earn more respect from everyone as long as he can produce the same numbers every night.

T-Macs a far cry in the MVP race. It should be between KG and Duncan. And KG will probably get it.

I watch plenty of "OTHER TEAMS" bro. Kobe doesn't make his team better? Lets see...Tracy averages more points than Kobe..AS THE #1 OPTION on his team(which is built around him), basically BOTH of their stats are IDENTICAL, but Kobes got the edge in BOARDS AND ASSISTS. T-MAC does more in less time? Kobe plays more minutes on average per game....not to mention, most of Kobes points COME IN THE 4th QUARTER.

                          Re: All MVP Talk

                          The MVP is KG.

What does it say when the league leader in triple doubles is a 7 foot power forward? Not only that, but name another power forward whoi will play the top of the key in his team's zone defense and then two plays later be denying a guy like Duncan in the post? The guy does it all on both the offensive and defensive ends, and is the only reason his team has been ahead of a team that consists of Kobe and Shaq.

Look at the rest of the Wolves. Troy Hudson? He's been maturing this year, but he has a long way to go. Still way too erratic in the clutch, and a streaky shooter. Wally? He's been hurt a lot this year, and when he's been healthy, he's been inconsistent with his shooting. Rasho? He's developing nice, with a good post game, but he's still soft offensively and defensively, and somewhat immobile. Joe Smith? Anthony Peeler? Kendall Gill? Take KG away and this team has absolutely no chance at the playoffs, better yet home court.

The only other pick I have for MVP is Duncan. The guy is nuts. The Spurs are the ebst team in the league, and he doesn't have as much help as Kobe does. Tony Parker has been great this year, as has Stephen Jackson. They've also got some quality roleplayers, also. The reason I put him behind KG is because KG just does more than Duncan. The only thing Duncan ever really had on KG was a post game, but KG has developed an amazing post game this season. The fadeaway KG developed is simply unguardable, and on top of that, it goes in. A lot of guys have nice fadeaways, but they're erratic. Not so for the 7 foot Garnett.

Kobe is a decent choice, but lest we remind ourselves how he played when Shaq was out? Plus, playing alongside Shaq is a great opportunity to pad your stats. Not only does he command double teams at all times, opening up the perimeter for Kobe, he is also the easiest guy to assist in the league. Shaq will push his way under the hoop, all the while the refs forget about what charging is, and whoever has the ball can just dump it to Shaq and he'll dunk it.

TMac is another decent choice. Can't touch KG, because he has more talent around him and yet his team is basically in the same position in the absurdly easy east that KG's team is in the powerful west.

Ben Wallace is not even a consideration. Best defensive player in the league, no doubt, but does absolutely nothing but hurt his team offensively. And don't give me the Bill Russell argument. If Wallace has 8 more seasons like this, then he will go to the Hall of Fame, but he won't win an MVP award.

If forced to order my picks, I'd go with:

                          1. KG
                          2. Duncan
                          3. TMac
                          4. Shaq
                          5. Kobe

I probably should put Shaq ahead of TMac, seeing as this is most valuable player and not most talented player (an award Shaq would fall off the charts in), but hey, it's my list, deal with it.

I was always going with either T-Mac or KG. But recently I have changed my opinion. Not I believe Duncan should repeat as MVP!

The Spurs unbelieveable finish to the end of the season has been thanks to TD turning up his game! They now pretty much have the best record in the league sown up and home court advantage all the way through the playoffs.

                              In order...

                              Duncan
                              KG
                              T-Mac
                              Iverson
                              Kobe
                              Kidd
                              Shaq
