yea i agree. He is one hell of a player. He's going to cause problems for people.

i was just pointing out that he has never won a playoff game in his career. However, i imagine he will probably change that this season.

he's the only player on the lakers i like so ill root for him but not so much
lol as long as he's not playing the Rockets right? Actually, that would be a very good matchup imo.

        WORST POST EVER

This is Bynum's first year as a guaranteed starter when he's healthy and Gasol has been on one of the worst teams in the league for his whole career. Their playoff records have absolutely no impact on how successful the Lakers are going to be this year, period. These guys have been playing basketball in loud, packed gyms their whole life, they're not just going to **** themselves in the middle of the game when the playoffs come around.

you gotta remember that Kobe is the main piece.... and I think he has won a few playoff games.... it's not like Bynum and Gasol are goin in alone.....

            true. good point

im not saying that lack of playoff experience is a huge factor. However, it could be a factor, albeit probably small. All im saying is that people should slow their roll before annointing Gasol and Bynum as the difference in the playoffs.

Playoff experience does make a difference for some teams. It can be an advantage. Ask the Spurs and Pistons....but like you said, Kobe is playoff battle tested...and then there is Phil Jackson who is second only to Red Aurbach, and Fisher shouldnt be overlooked.

Again, playoff experience isnt a huge factor imo, but it might be for Gasol. Playoffs have made a difference in his play in his career. Previously in his career, Gasol's play has become worse once the playoffs started...but that will probably change this year imo.

not 100% sure but I thought Gasol's number were the same in Playoffs and Reg season.....

I think also most people are not trying to compare Bynum and Gasol in the playoffs to like Duncan or something..... more like what we had before in Kwame and Brian Cook, which does make them saviors........

ok that makes sense. I can understand that.

It seems that some people were acting like Bynum was going to shut down Duncan and Shaq all of a sudden. I dont see that happening...but I agree, the Lakers certainly should definitely have a better chance against the likes of the Spurs and Suns than they did in the last couple of seasons.

not sure bout "shutting" down duncan, but I think he can help in the post more then before because he abuses kwame or any of our other guys in there...... and I think he can hold his own against the current Shaq..... if you can single coverage Shaq and keep him around his 13-15 points, then that's a win right there......

not sure if bynum will do a much better job as a post defender than bynum to be honest as that was one of kwame's (only) strongpoints

im just guessing that your not able to watch alot of laker games but Bynum is able to hold his own.... all Kwame had was position defense,(which i thought was lil overrated) but he has not shot blocking or is able to contest shots, which negate alot of his positioning...... Byum has more size then Kwame did plus he's able to block/contest shots......
people who are not able to watch all the games like us Laker fans are able to won't understand why we are so high on him.... his stats this year are based on around 30 mpg, which are because he came off the bench early in the year and wasn't gettin more minutes until around a month before his injury..... during that time he was playing above and beyond his stats and provided a force in the paint on offense and defense with his shot blocking / contesting and rebounding..... even all the media guys are really high on him....

btw, what is the guarantee that Bynum is going to come back from his injury 100 percent? It is a knee, correct?

reportedly, he hasnt even been able to start rehabbing in the pool until this week.

most of us are goin off that he will be back 100%.. if he doesn't then that changes a whole lot of things.....
but what I have been reading is that there shouldn't be any problems since there was no ligament / structural damage.... it just takes time to heal... how long, we don't know...... we are all keeping our fingers crossed...

that is some bad luck. The Lakers hold on to Bynum, he develops into a solid player, and then gets injured costing him much of the season. It's good that it's not expected to be too serious though.

it's very bad luck... some say that it's a blessing in disguise.... if he didn't go down, management said they don't go after Gasol..... so assuming Bynum comes back 100% it's not too bad.....

After watching the Celtics-Suns game, I though Shaq looked horrible. The question is which of these Shaqs will we see till the end of the season? IMO The one of the Celtics game...
