*PUKE* The NY Knicks agree to terms with *PUKE*...

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3473845
NEW YORK -- Chris Duhon has reached a verbal agreement with the New York Knicks on a two-year contract, Duhon's agent said.

"The chance for Chris to be a starter was too much to pass up," Duhon's agent, Kevin Bradbury, told 1050 ESPN New York's Andrew Marchand.

Duhon had also been talking with the Orlando Magic. Bradbury said the Magic never offered Duhon a contract.

Bradbury said the Knicks have made it clear that Duhon could start, which could mean that Stephon Marbury's days with the Knicks are numbered. Marbury is in the final year of his contract.

The agreement was initially reported by The Sporting News.

"I am just excited, I am ready to get to work for the Knicks," said Duhon, according to the Sporting News. "It's a big stage, playing in New York. It's something every player in the NBA wants."

Duhon played the last four seasons with the Chicago Bulls. He averaged 5.8 points and 4 assists per game last season. He has averaged 6.9 points and 4.5 assists per game in his career.

The Orlando Sentinel reported Thursday that the Magic expected to offer Duhon a three-year deal worth up to $10 million.

"Chris could have shopped himself around more, but in the end, he wanted a fit where he felt comfortable and he knew what kind of opportunity he would be getting," Bradbury said. "He wasn't worried about trying to find more money on the market or anything like that. He wanted the right situation, and this just felt like the right situation."

I like Duhon. Good defensive player, takes care of the ball, can hit the three. You realize he's the only Knick who can do those three things, right?

Depending on the contract, I think it could be a good move.

The Knicks look to be in rebuilding mode, and assuming that it was for $3-4 million per, it gives them a decent player. If he works out, sign him long term, if he doesn't, higher draft pick.

2 years is perfect... he'll be off of the books by 2010... the year of the King.

Duhon blows at shooting, lets be real here. I'm fortunate as a Spur fan that one of our starters isn't as bad as Chris Duhon. He should be confined to a bench and that's about it.

I feel bad for my Knicks-fan brothers and father who are in for two more terrible years of New York basketball.

I don't know where all this love for his shot is coming from honestly. In NBA 2K8, the guy is ranking in around an 80+ for his 3pt shot when everyone in Chicagoland area knows that Du-Du never needs to take the shot. I'm glad that he got out of Chicago because they weren't giving him any playing time and he was wasting away. I just hope that he's sensible enough to leave the drinking alone. Definitely a party animal from what I hear.

So does this mean that Marbury is going to be bought out or cut? I doubt anyone will actually trade for him..

You're acting as if they signed Kwame Brown.

LOL @ mentioning his nba2k rating. But ur right duhon got burried in chi with all there influx of gaurds. He's a pretty good player. He's not great but he knows his role. Very solid move by the knicks.
