If I wuz a Knicks fan I'll be happy to finally get somebody to can play unselfishly, Hit a three and knows (other than Balkman) what the word "DEFENSE" means, besides half the guys on that team can't play D worth $#!t, If I were Walsh or D'Antoni, I'll figure out a way to deal with Randolph, Curry, James, jefferies, and all their useless players on that team all they care about is getting their green instead of wanting to get them diamonds and gold. Isiah Thomas turn that team into one, big, lump out $#!t with a few players (Crawford, Robinson, Lee) that can actually position them towards a better future

He used to be my favorite player when he was at Duke, so I hope it works out him and the Knicks.

Why is everyone hating on this signing? It's short-term, he's a solid player, and it's not for a lot of money. Getting guys like this at this value is how you build winning teams. Obviously not an immediate fix, but definitely one of the better backup PGs in the league.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's the first economic move the Knicks have made in.....

Yeah, it's the first economic move they've made. Actually paying a solid role player to be a solid roleplayer. That must be D'Antoni's wacky Suns hijinx at work.

Du is a good backup don't know about a stater. I assume he is going to be a back up. But he is not trash! Bulls players wanted DU to start over Kirk but the coaches would not do it. Du will find open players but is not good in the Pick and roll. I believe he could avg like 13ppg 7ast with Mins

                  13 and 7...

                  Okay, back to reality.
Walsh jumped the gun on this bum. There are players out there that he could've given a look to that would bring more to the team than Duhon-
                  Jannero Pargo (player option)
                  Eddie House
                  Jason Williams
                  Beno Udrih

Hell, as it stands, Duhon is the 4th worst (yes worst) PG on the roster behind Marbuy, Robinson and Mardy Collins when he's healthy. Collins is a MUCH better defender than him. Duhon didn't even have one offer on the damn table.

At this point, they might as well just buy Marbury out. No need to have 4 PGs on the team.

I don't get it one bit. Chris freaking Duhon.

Everyone that you mentioned is shoot first(except Beno)! Come on, man!
Duhon is a better PG than Nate and Mardy. He averages almost as many assists as Beno in 10 less minutes. He's a solid, unselfish, defensive minded backup. I don't know what Mardy Collins you're watching, but the one I watch has slow feet and can't stay on the court.

He's a better defender than Nate and that's where the comparison ends.

When Mardy Collins was healthy (the season before this past one), he was a stat machine at the end of the season. He did everything we could ask a PG to do.

Duhon is a bum whichever way you wanna slice it. The only reason he is pass-first is because he can't shoot to save his life.

He'll get minutes early on...juuuust like Jared Jeffries (great defender, doesn't look for his shot, unselfish- sound familiar?) did when he got here. Then he'll slowly slide to the end of the bench and into his suit aka Injured Reserve. Book it.

Bigeast...my man..I know you don't like the acquisition, but surely you can't be comparing Duhon's shot to Jared's? Come on, man. I've watched that man shoot in person several times this year. It is an adventure. In 2k8, he should have everyone's sig shot, like Olcadan in Soul Calibur, because he releases his shot differently every time.

And he dribbles the ball like he has floor colored sneakers. I like the job Duhon does managing the team in Chicago. If D'antoni puts him in a role, I think he'll fill it well.

                            Duhon in D'Antoni's system?

I don't see the issue here.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I watch every game of the bulls for the last 4 years(nbalp) Im telling Du is not as bad as you make him out to be. He out play Kirk some many times off the bench. He can get the ball to the players at the right time. He plays better vs uptemo teams. So since NY will run he should do better in NY.Du was a big part of the bulls playoff runs last 3 out of 4 years. You making him out to be a 12th player on the bench.
There was a reason the Bulls players wanted DU to start over Kirk because he is a better PG then Kirk. Yea Kirk is the better player but Du is the better Point. I don't think 13 and 7 is far off in a offense that Knicks will run. He is a ROLE player he is what he is but is not that bad.I know you wanted someone that would put up 20pts 10ast a game. Du won't do that but he will get knicks some more wins. Just won't have flashy stats. He is no NASH... I still think Du comes off the bench
