AI is not going to win a championship this year. Too many teams better than the Pistons this year.

other than Boston, i dont think no other team in the east is clearly better than Detroit. cleveland, detroit, toronto, 76ers, and orlando are all fighting for the second spot.

all i said was that they have a better chance to make it to the finals, not saying their gonna outright win it.

The trade happens,they buy him out, he's an free agent and he goes where he wants.

Wow. So, Iverson wanted to be traded from the Sixers because he wanted to go to a contender. The Sixers were willing to do it because they wanted to move on from his contract, his attitude and how he played on the court.

Two years ago, he goes to a contender in Denver to play with Melo. AI's fanboys were oh so sure everything would work out and were ready to pound their chests.

Two years later, a few games into this season, he is traded because he supposedly wants to go to yet another contender. And once again...Denver were willing to do so surely to get something in return for that over $20 mil AI makes in an expiring contract, conflicts within the team and how he played on the court.


By golly, I didn't see that coming!!!

i believe it was a great deal getting AI, heres why. 21 million come off of the cap next year because of his expiring contract(maybe he will resign with them hopefully). stuckey is turning into a stud and he is a billups prototype without the 10million dollar cap(not exactly 10 mill though) you get rid of mcdyess contract who will be bought out of his deal then resign with the us. then you have free agents such as wade and james coming to the market etc... great move on dumars part. they thought getting sheed was bad to and that resulted in a championship.

do u not pay attention to sports? most great players change teams late in thier career to try and attain a championship.

barkley, garnett, emmit smith, jerry rice, clyde drexler, gary payton, deion sanders, junior seau................. and so on.

I loved the dude when he was here. I didn't give a crap about the stuff that went on here. Was it good? Nope, not at all. But the team not winning anything wasn't all his fault. But he surely didn't make it easy. I refuse to ignore that.
