That's why I think this conversation is ridiculous right now. Until the teams play about 25 games, sustained trends haven't even begun to take hold. But whatever.
As an aside, CP3's numbers are off the charts. His shooting percentages are just crazy. I want to play Mo again just to see if 2k9 can replicate his game.Comment

I knwo i'll get called biased here, but it's pretty clear to me. Kevin Garnett does all the little things every night that he doesn't get credit for. Yeah a lot of these guys put up bigger numbers and do things louder(if that's possible considering KG talks more than anyone), but KG is quietly the best player in the NBA right now. That says something for KG. I'd be the first person to say Lebron because he's an absolute beast, but I watch KG every night and he is a better player right now just on both ends of the court and off the court as well. You said overall, and KG is the best answer.
I think it's kind of sad actually that noone has mentioned KG and some guy didn't even have him in their top 5 and you think you know basketball? This isn't fantasy basketball. KG people...... KG. I'm the biggest Paul Pierce fan in the world and he is having a bigger season statistically and taking all the bgi shots and the glory this year even on the C's and I still say KG.

never seen a guy take more credit for doing less than KG. Sure he's a great player, but he doesn't even guard the teams best big man. It's Perkins. KG just comes with the help defense. Sure he is a great communicator, but that doesn't make him the best player in the NBA.
Guy rarely ever plays in the post either. Basically turned into a faceup shooter.Comment

I agree. Kobe and KG are focused mainly on getting their teams to play dominant ball, and stay focused on a championship in a very real way. The big difference between them being that Kobe is the offensive finisher on the team, whereas KG passes that duty to Pierce. On KG's side, he's the defensive anchor, and biggest defensive game changer, where on the Lakers that is probably more Andrew Bynum's role. Kobe sets a good defensive example, but if bigs would feast on the Lakers if not for Bynum's presence.Comment
