I think the wizards could be a contender if things fall into place. I strongly believe people underrate the impact of the chemistry Gilbert and Larry Hughes had, as far as the two being able to swap PG/SG roles on a possession by possession basis. anyway:

    Etan/Stevenson for Hughes

    Arenas/James/Crittenton
    Hughes/Young/Dixon
    Butler/McGuire
    Jamison/Songaila/Pech
    Haywood/Blatche/McGee

Assuming Arenas & Haywood get right, I think this squad would be nasty. The only problem would be stunting Young's development.

One thing about this team man, we just have to get healthy and stay healthy. Hopefully Gils back the beast that he was. I wouldn't mind Hughes, but I'm a big Stevenson fan man. He works well with Gilbert also, Don't forget Stevenson shot better with Gil there, had a good percentage from behind the arc. He's stinking the joint up this year because 1. Gil not there and 2. He's playing injured himself. He has a bad back, and he had knee surgery in the off season. I'm not saying we should've got for another SG to back him up now, or even to start infront of him. Everything starts if Gilbert is healthy, If he's healthy everything should fall in to place. Oh, and Todd Haywood has to be healthy to. I didn't think that much of him when he was playing, but now seeing how we're playing, Haywood was a big part.

The Young guys do need to play, but our stupid interim head coach wants to hold them back, If they make a mistake he takes them out and don't put them back in for awhile. My main example of that is Nick Young, if Nick Young mess up on D, .Tapscott takes him out. He does that with most of the young players. LET them learn Tap.

Like I said though, I want Griffen, I finally watched him play a full game and not just highlights. I like his intensity, footwork,Defense. He'll be a good back up for Haywood.

Am I wrong for looking forward to the Lakers/Cavs game on Sunday more than the game tonight at Boston?

Hughes is not the player he was his first time in Washington. He's basically the same player as Stevenson now, except making twice as much.

Thats cold boom... but to add on stevenson gives more effort on D and does not HAVE to have the ball to be effective on offense

You're right about that Czar. Larry needs the ball in his hands to be effective on offense since he's a volume shooter. Hughes jumps a lot of passing lanes but overall isn't the defender he should be considering his physical gifts. I do have flashbacks to his contract year with the Wiz when he was out there gettin his nightly.

If it's because the Celtics are probably going to murk the Lakes, then no.

Bryant's averaged 38 minutes over the last 5 games.. to play in BOS on a back-to-back is going to be hell. With that said, he's absolutely been on fire over those 5 games, in all stat categories.

If K.G. comes back from his illness, it's a wrap. Phil needs to pull a Pop if the game gets out of hand in the 2nd half and just sit everyone down to rest up.

Stevenson is hurt, Stevenson has a better shot then Hughes. Since he been with the Wizards, his shooting has gotten alot better. Of course hit shot was on money when Gil was there. Even last year without Gil he had a decent shot. This year he's just playing hurt, that's why his shot is so awful this year.

I didn't mean that I was looking past the Celtics, I will be surprised if we get a W. I'm just more excited about seeing another Lakers/Cavs showdown.
