Okay, before I drown my sorrows about acquiring Bruise, I will say that it's a stroke of genius getting rid of Jerome James for any reason. I'd have given him up for a 3 legged housecat that was required to play 5 min of game time

        Page updated with all trades.

12 trades since the break, almost all for financial reasons.

So did the Kings get Otis Thorpe back in all that went on?

No Otis Thorpe they opted for Lionel Simmons instead.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

grizzlies started the season with about 4 point guards, end up with two first round picks and some $$. I say this was a good year. now we just have to not retain hakim warrick and things will be perfect

Like I said, I don't know too much about Lowry, but after watching him tonight, I like what he brings to the table. I also like that the kid is only 22 years old and is scrappy as hell. He still has a long way to go to learn the offense, but in the meantime he can come in, spell Brooks for a bit, draw some fouls, and play some defense.

Aaron Brooks had 19 points (7-15), 8 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 4 turnovers in his first game as full time starting point.

Kyle Lowry had 6 points (2-3), 2 assists, 3 rebounds, and 4 turnovers in his Rockets debut

I think I've made peace with the fact that this is our team now and there is no more "big three". However, getting rid of Alston and T-Mac is addition by subtraction as far as ball movement and high percentage offense. For the Rockets, T-Mac is tied for #1 in FGA per game but is shooting 39% while Alston is #4 in FGA per game and shoots 37% (he was 1-9 tonight in his debut in Orlando). While Alston is a vet who can play controlled basketball (8 assists, 1 TO tonight), he is a streaky chucker. And while T-Mac (when healthy) is a top SG, he is a ball stopper and does not move without the ball. Basically he needs the ball to be effective, and is not made for Adelman's offense.

Hopefully Houston can finally have some consistency with this team and they can start gelling. We might be able to salvage this season, and may be even better off than we were when the season started (I hope).

                      100% agree.

I liked Lowry also, I think he has the skills to give Brooks a run for his new starting spot. Healthy competition there will never hurt.
