I love it when morons make snap judgments that have absolutely no basis in reality.

Dirk Nowitzki vs Opposing PF this season (per 48 min)
        • Dirk: 26.5 ppg. OPP: 16.5 ppg
        • Dirk: 1.80 bpg. OPP: 0.50 bpg.
        • Dirk: 3.0 fouls per game. OPP: 6.0 fouls per game

        • Dirk floor time +/- STAT: +9.6 pts per game

But hey -- don't let a few cold, hard FACTS get in the way of your fanciful delusions.

            Re: Anthony Randolph

            what man?

the players are what they are.

Dirk is a great shooter for a 7 footer with the ability to put the ball on the floor from time to time.

he was NEVER going to be a back to the basket post player.

Trying to pin that on Nellie is ludicrous...thats like blaming nellie for Steve nash not being able to defend...yet completly igorning the fact he built a system where Nash and Nowitzki could thrive and tap into thier potential.

            pure Nellie hate...

              Re: Anthony Randolph

meanwhile... back in the real world.

more positive press from Nellie on AR

... but i suppose hes just posturing and remains to be a fantastic liar/puppet master hell bent on ruining the warriors and trading off all young talent... lord knows bellinelli was the second coming.

              ;/

With the return of big men Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf just around the corner, Nelson said he will move Randolph to his natural power forward position and give the kid all the responsibility he can handle.

"You ain't seen nothing yet," Nelson said about Randolph after Sunday's practice. "He's going to be a blessed guy if he can mentally prepare himself and handle what I'm going to give him. … As long as he grows and matures and understand what we're doing -- and it was a very good practice today for him -- the sky's the limit in how I can use him and go to his strengths."

Of course, this is the same Randolph who has been the subject of recent trade rumors. Although the Warriors have said Randolph is unlikely to be going anywhere. And it's the same Randolph who has had his share of ups and downs with Nelson in the past year-plus. Nelson has been using Randolph a lot at backup center this season, and he saying there was a reason for it.

"I've always expected a lot out of him," Nelson said of Randolph. "I think he's right on schedule. What I've been able to do as a backup center and be creative that way has now opened the door for him to be a four and do the same things, and to have a better understanding.

"It's very easy to do what I want to do against fives. They don't guard you, they don't get into you. I think now he's ready to be a four and do the same kinds of things. So, we'll see. But I'm excited to see how it's going to work."

Nelson had Randolph handling the ball for most of Sunday's practice, most of the time initiating the offense as a point-forward. To a lesser degree, Vladimir Radmanovic might have the same kinds of opportunity.

"Those guys better know they're blessed because there's nothing more fun for a player than to be in control of the ball and be able to make some plays. And I think (Randolph) has the ability to do that," Nelson said.
Let the man coach the 20 year old kid...please...he knows what hes doing.

                  iLL,

With all due respect man..your takes are terrible and are based in a world of fantastic delusions...

                  The guy LOVES AR...

At this point he can do no right in your eyes...and everything he says or does is a lie.

So what do you gain from this?

Instead of watching a YOUNG player grow, you bellyache over his PT, when he was struggling with consistency, and blame the coach...bringing up past admitted mistakes.

Way to live in the PAST.

Could it be that Nellie wants Randolph to EARN hsi minutes...instead of gifting a young inconsistent player them?

Nah...obviously not.. Nellie has an agenda here...to destroy the Warriors...to trade off all young talent and leave you as a fan miserable...clearly...thats whats hes doing /green font

So let me get this right...the holes in Dirks game are now Don Nelsons fault?
What about Webbers lack of clutch ability, I suppose thats Nellies fault too.
What about Josh Howard marijuana problem..i bet Nellie the evil genius got him to start smoking
and Lord knows Mully and Nellie used ot throw back a few...so lets blame his alcohol problem on Nellie too... Tom tolbert...he never developed into the 20/10 potential he had...Nellies fault.

Like i said...players ARE what they are...in YOUNG players it is the coaches job to put them in positions to succeed. and to harness thier raw abilities...correct me if im wrong but thats exactly what hes doing with Randolph...a 20 year old.

The ironic part of your post is that you are answering your own questions about Nellies percieved lack of coaching...and you dont even see it..because you are too busy running with the anti-Nellie brigade.

                    GSW

How are my "takes horrible"? Mine are based on history and facts that I have given you links to, to back up my statements. What are yours based on? All you have laid out is your opinion and some empty interview snippets from a guy who is known to lie bold faced on a regular basis to the media. The same guy who you say "Love's AR" but then allows for his name to be tossed into the media as possible trade bait. But I am the one with the delusions right? Also if I have delusions and am on an anti-Nelson brigade, than I am not an army of one. If you read enough articles regarding Nelson in the last month or so, I guess writers and columnists around the league are under this same delusion and anti-Nelson brigade. But I guess your smarter than ALL of em.

You and I agree to disagree on this and if I am wrong in the end, I will own it and admit you were right. But I just hope you will too, when Nelson does like he has at every other stop hes been at, and walks away leaving the franchise in worse condition than when he got there. I respect your passion, but I have been around long enough to remember Nelson from the Bucks days to now and in between he has given me more than enough reason to not trust or rely on him. I'm gonna fall back, chill and watch how things come together and I'll catch you after the holidays GSW.

                      Re: Anthony Randolph

I haven't read every single post here, but calling Dirk a bad defender is definitely accurate if you're still living in 2003. These days he's definitely a good to very-good defender, as every statistic you'll ever find will tell you. And he's arguably the best shooter in the league even with the triple coverage he regularly sees.

And Don Nelson is an idiot. I knew he'd have a great honeymoon in GSW but he's obviously worn out his welcome there. He throws players under the bus frequently and buries guys on the bench for no apparent reason, just like he did in Milwaukee, Dallas, and GSW the first time around. He gets credit for longevity, but he really doesn't belong as a coach anymore.

                          another loss....

the gameplan seems to be stand around and watch Ellis or stand around and watch Maggette.Heck do the warriors even run plays anymore????

This is making me sick watching this team
