Reggie Miller better be somewhere on that list from 86-100. He should've already been on there, but whatever.

Re: "RealGM" top 100 NBA player of all time list
Really he is not good enough for the HOF??David Robinson: One of the most overrated players of his generation. He may have been a great shot blocker but he was merely an average on ball defender. He was a turnover machine. Was infamous for missing clutch free throws in the playoffs (pre Duncan era). Played with no passion and was not willing to bang with other bigs on a consistent basis. Most importantly, he never won squat until Tim Duncan came aboard. But hey, he was smart, stayed out of trouble, was a nice guy, and he had great stats. He fooled the media big time. The truth is, he was always good and far from great. Certainly not Hall of Fame worthy.

Most of your points are opinions and when it comes down to it players make the HOF based on Stats, awards and Championships so if the below stats are not good enough for the HOF then there should be very few players there.

Hey, Hakeem was indeed a special player, a legend, and a superior player to McHale. But when it comes to post moves McHale was the master. Tight drop steps using his lead elbow to get daylight, duck unders and step throughs, turnaround jumpers and fadeaways, and spin moves and fakes galore.
Hakeem had his unstoppable fadeaways and he faced up on defenders a good amount of the time. When facing he would give the defender all of his shake and bake moves. You really could'nt go wrong with either player.Last edited by AlexBrady; 03-12-2009, 07:25 PM.Comment

Re: "RealGM" top 100 NBA player of all time list
David Robinson is the only player of the three (Ewing, Malone, Robinson, and Maravich) to win the NBA Finals and anyone who knows basketball knows that Duncan is the one responsible for the Spurs title wins. Stats are certainly not my criteria for the hall.
My criteria:
1. Impact and value to team
2. Performance in the clutch
3. All around game (defense, rebounding, passing, scoring)
4. Playoff performance
5. Regular season performaceComment

Hey, if you want to have useless stat sheet fillers in the top 30 then that is fine by me. Feel free to create your own top 30 filled with eye popping scorers who dissapear when the going gets tough. I listed the top 30 players who give me the best chance of winning in the Playoffs and have incredible talents.Last edited by AlexBrady; 03-12-2009, 09:10 PM.Comment

So if Kevin Garnett had never been traded to the Celtics and won a 'chip then he wouldn't deserve the HOF either (when he gets there)?Hey, if you want to have useless stat sheet fillers in the top 30 then that is fine by me. Its true that Robinson didn't win a championship until Duncan arrived but that does not mean that Robinson was not a very good player.Comment

No, Garnett would still be worthy even without the "chip". He is a great rebounder due to his freakishly long wingspan. He is the master of fronting and three quartering offensive players in the post. He is one of the best jump shooting big men in history. He is a willing and accomplished passer too. Most importantly, he plays with all his might every game.
You're right, David Robinson was a good player. I never said he wasn't good. I just said he isn't all that the media made him out to be (ie. a Hall of Famer).Last edited by AlexBrady; 03-12-2009, 10:10 PM.Comment
