I hope this improves this forum, but "Operation Sports is about the front part first, forum second". The front part pays the bills and gives us credibility.

The way things are now, I cant imagine any serious bball developer staying here. The fact that there is a "bash the lakers and their fans" thread would tell me that this is a place for bitter kids. It would be one thing if it were Celtic/Laker type hate and people would vent in a mature manner, but its obvious that there are a lot of kids in here spewing garbage. I dont agree with many here, but I still enjoy reading posts from people like Will, Erod, people who can formulate something a little more witty than Fakerz suck to go along with their avatars. If I didn't know better, I'd sware Skillz has aliases and posts here over and over. Just my 2 cents, but I find it ironic that the mods would create this thread, then talk about shutting down the whole basketball forum. For what its worth, I vote to keep the bball forum, but eliminate the Kobe, and all things Laker forums. Let's return to making this place about sports games, with the occasional diversion into the actual sports. I want to read about the latest developments in each sports game. If the less filling vs. tastes great crowd wants to argue, let em create poll threads.

One more thing before I end my rambling, is there a way to create an "ignored" poster list in our profile?

i agree partly, mostly with the fact that it's kind of hypocritical to create a lakers bashing thread and then complain that people are not mature. But as for talking about videogames, that'll happen once the new games get closer. You can't force it.

Let me clarify, I have no problem with basketball being talked about, I come here for playoff talk myself. But this forum is a sports gaming forum, so that and sports should take precedent. Ilove/hate Laker threads should remain over at NBA.com. I dont want gaming talk forced on anybody, but we also shouldn't force team/player bashing threads.

Did you see the forum, before we created these two stickys?? Since ShaKobe put up that "Let's be civil" thread, it has been great in here. I've even seen some guys post that I haven't in a while. No one was signalling out anyone. Now Madskillz, get out of here!! We know YOU don't belong!
