Sorry, Laker fan here, but I just had to throw in a comment.

I saw that interview also, and when I heard him, I just went . He was just uber cocky. He said something like ""I think it's funny when I hear teams say "we contained Kobe", *Shakes head* uh... No you didn't! I can put the ball in the hole when I want to." And while that might be true, he just sounded a little too arogant. I mean, he has every right to say it, since he could possibly do it whenever, but the way he said it.

There is a diffrence in saying something like MJ said when he was younger. He said, "when I'm on my game, I don't think there is anybody that can stop me". That sounds like a confident player. Kobe's comments were pretty cocky, and while he forgets the fact that he has Shaq on his team, if he was in TMac's spot, he'd take those words back.

It's okay to believe in yourself, but you see reasons like these that make people not like the Lakers. They really talk too much to be champs. I don't remember Magic, or Bird, or MJ, or the Dream, or D.R. run their mouths like Shaq, and now KB, and Fox, and Fisher does.

Exactly. I agree to the fullest. MJ was the best, but he was humble about it. Er, at least a good amount of the time.

Yeah its always funny how the story changes the older people get. MJ is one of the cockiest players on the planet and he has a right to be because he is one of the best. Kobe has a right to be for the same reason.
