Well said. In a million years (if the league is still going on then), MJ may not even be in the Top 50 of all time. But for now, he's one of the best ever.

Maybe Shaq is just playing mind games with other teams.

Kobe the next MJ? Nobody is MJ. He could put up MJ like numbers, and end with a Jordan like legacy of titles and awards, but nobody is MJ. Besides, Kobe wants to be known as more than just MJ.

We'll see about that. I don't see anyone with the skills and drive and willpower MJ had. Kobe comes the closest, but he still falls short.

I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Re: Kobe is not the next MJ

Man you guys forget about things like this. MJ surpassed and earned the respect of legend players like Magic ,Bird Dr. J ,Dominique Wilkins, Clyde Drexler, Isaiah Thomas, Kareem, etc...

Kobe hasn't really put himself in the class of these guys first. I always ask, is Kobe better than Magic, or do you think he will be known when he retires as having a bigger impact on the game worldwide than Magic. If you say no, and I know you're thinking no, then Kobe is far away from MJ'c class.

I laughed when Laker fans called Kobe crying "passion", because he didn't want to lose, but where was that "passion" when he was trying so hard to pad a triple double, that he helped his team lose to the Cleveland Cavaliers?

It's one of the most ridiculous comparisons in the history of the NBA.

It's actually better to at least look at guys that's on his level like T-Mac, AI, TD, KG. I know many of you guys don't believe they are, but none of you would reject any of them if they wanted to play in LA next season.

I know many people on these boards didn't really see MJ play in his prime in the playoffs, or reach 72-10 with the Bulls, or even early years of his career. The man was a cold silent assasin, and you had to be there to see a team trying to make a run on his team until he stepped on the court, and the entire opposing team would immediately change the way they were playing, and their focus would seem to drop a bit because this guy simply stood on the floor. It may not sound true but it is.

It was times where MJ eould shoot 3's and turn around, and start running to the other teams basket before the ball went in, because he knew it would, and it did. He was a great perimeter shooter. As some people don't believe he was a better perimeter shooter than Kobe, I disagree, along with the fact that his FG% was higher than Kobe's is now.
