Well who do you vote for?? My vote goes to To Dirk of coarse, I mean no PF or C in the "L" can guard him on the perimeter, and no SF can guard him closer to the basket. Oh and don't be dumb and say "well he don't play D beacause A. he does he just ain't great at it and B. D nor all around game has nothing to do with my poll. Thanks. And I'll also list why I don't think why the others I listed are the "Man".
Kobe - CAN be shut down as evidenced by Bruce Bowen harrassing him in the semi's, flat out Kobe doesn't like being bodied and I think you'll see alot more of people getting in Kobe's grill form now on.
McGrady - A lil too over confident, I mean c'mon with his Jordan confidence saying "It'll be nice to see the second round" and "I don't want to be like K.G. never getting outta the first round" well bud you did see the second round ....from your living room just like us, next time SHOW UP and win before you spout off. And don't look all happy after YOUR team blew a 3-1 lead in a series!!
Rasheed - Flat out was near my top choice, but doesn't demand the ball when he needs to.
Shaq - Most dominant player in the "L" hands down, too bad he's lost his passion and has never developed any sort of game outside 5 feet away from the hoop. Lazy and places blame on others. Content with his 3 rings can you blame him?
Duncan - King of the 20 - 10 games Mr. Reliable, can dominate at times but he'll ALWAYS put up solid numbers, FT's and sometimes not being aggresive enough are what hold him back. Great player though, hope Cuban defies the salary cap and makes a run at him this summer.
A.I. - King of the bad shot, he's matured they say. I can see that but he still whines too much which I think causes the refs to not give calls to him. He's fearless though gotta love that.
Garnett - Wasn't even the MVP of the playoff series IMO that woulda been Hudson. But not to much to complain about solid in all aspects on offense, I just don't think he has "IT". I don't see where he makes his team better, I mean teams know that K.G. can't beat you by himself, just my opinion though.
Peirce - Streak shooter with a mean streak, not afraid to muck it up under the boards, can get to the line pretty much at will. Relies to much on his outside shot though, much better when he's around 50% jumpers 50% drives and post. He's gonna figure it out though.
Van Exel - Only put him on here for one reason he comes off the bench, yet plays starter mins so there goes the theory that he only plays against the other teams scrubs. Excellent post and slashing game, one of the best mid range games in the "L" too, streak shooter who is deadly when he's on. Gets on my list cause he does come off the bench and raises total hell when he's on. Has prolly the best step back jumper that I've seen in 15 years.
Marbury - A raging bull strong as hell and a streaky shooter. But he relies too much on his jumper and developing a lil bit of a post game to use that strength of his would help so much. Shoots too much for a PG in my book, shoots himself into and out of games.
Webber - Gets better every year, relies to much on his outside jumper. For a big man with his ball handling skills it's just sad to see him not used it more. When motivated can be nearly unstoppable under and around the hoop.
Well I'm looking forward to others comments keep it clean though. Thanks.
