The Allen Iverson Saga
Just was watching PTI and Wilbon was making a case for Iverson in Charlotte next year. Do you guys think that is possible? He is very unhappy now in Detroit, and he has gone on record by saying LB was the best coach he ever had. As a Bobcat fan I like the possibilities and, I think it would work. What do you all think?Tags: None -
Re: Iverson to Bobcats in 2009-2010?
As a Bobcat fan, I would love to see it. We just need "interest" in the franchise right now and Iverson is one of the most popular players in basketball in history not named Magic, Jordan, or Bird.
I think he would fit reasonably well, especially if we lose Felton."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that." -

Seen the words "PTI" and Wilbon in the same sentence and stopped reading anything after that.#RespectTheCultureComment

He has been a cancer with everyone else, besides Larry Brown. He has been the only coach in the NBA to use him the right way. That's why I think it could work.Comment

Re: Iverson to Bobcats in 2009-2010?
if your a bobcats fan...you shouldnt wish for this.
a.i will stunt the growth of felton [if he is still around] and more importantly, augustin.
the bobcats have a nice nucleus now. they need more time to gel. putting in a player who is only effective if he has a green light to dominate the ball and the offense will only hinder their progress.
i think the bobcats are close to being a really good team. the makeup is there.
what they need is a low post scorer, and more experience together.
they already have a superior slashing talent [wallace], solid defending role players [okafor, bell] and versatility [diaw].
if felton can get more consistency and continue to develop his pg instincts, and if augustin takes another step, [which he surely will] there will be no need for iverson.
really, i cant think of any team in the league that iverson would fit.
esspecially now he has basically said he will retire before being a 6th man.
in reality if he wants to win a championship so desperately like he claims..
he has to take a 6th man role on a contending team.
oh the irony.Comment
