(why can't it relate to scoring? Most offensive skills are to score the ball, mind you.)

Durant has better footwork, uses screens better, has a better post up game(and LeBron has about 80+ pounds on him) and moves from the post(quite easily), more range(quite easily), and more touch off the dribble(quite easily).

The only glaring discrepancy in scoring is that LeBron can score inside the paint like no ones business and complete the and one WAY more often(though he did have about 9% more looks on the inside), though Durant is an elite level scorer inside the paint if you look at his % in the paint(67.1% to Bron's 71.7%). But, then again, there is also the glaring discrepancy in three point %, eFG%, and Durant's better mid range game.

Kevin is in no way better except for scoring the basketball in every other area on the court besides the paint and having better basketball skills... but skills aren't the only thing that make players better either. The best players combine skills and ability. LeBron's raw amount of ability(physical and mental) catapult him to the top of the league.

I'm just saying that just because player A doesn't average the same amount of assist as player B does not make player B a better player(and the same goes for all stats).

Kevin has better off the ball skills, I will not question that, mainly because LeBron has always had to play on the ball.

However, other than off ball skills and some scoring, there is nothing Durant has or is even close to on LeBron. LeBron has much better on ball skills *creating for teammates, creating for himself* and LeBron is one of the better defenders in the NBA right now, and once again, is improving.

It's going to take a hell of a lot of improvement for Durant to catch and surpass LeBron this year and the coming years.

In other words, besides shooting, or getting in position to shoot...nothing.

When will people realize that player A being a better shooter than player B doesn't mean he's an "ALL AROUND" better player?!

          Yup. Plus some wins, seriously.

Durant is skilled for 20 though...thats the compelling thing.

            No one is saying that...

But Durant is already a top 3 pure scorer in the game.

No one is saying he isn't...however, he has a long way to go before he catches LeBron. As I said, no one is saying Durant is a bad player, in fact he should be an easy all star...but comparing him with LeBron isn't fair at this point of his career, and I'm not sure it will ever be fair.

I agree with Mo, being better at one thing doesn't make a guy "a better all around basketball player". Thats why the thought of Durant being better than Lebron based strictly on having a better perimeter shooting touch is silly to me unless someone can show me or explain what else Durant will do at an elitel level that will put him past LeBron. I'd like to hear it. Alex B, get in here!

Unless of course folks are saying that Bron is one-dimensional...and Durant only needs to excel at one thing to surpass him.

Only extremely LeBron haters and and OKC, Seattle, Pacific Northwest homers think Durant is actually better than LeBron.

Having said that, Durant has a chance to be more than just a perrenial all-star.

Let's just leave it at that, and see where it takes us.

Durant is going to be to LeBron...

What LeBron is to Kobe right now.

These two are going to be the reason why many threads get hijacked and locked in the future. Lol.

Oh and Born and myself are still accepting applications into the prestigious KD Club as well.
                                Application sent.

I've been on this guy's wagon for a while.

I honestly think he has a lot more longevity too. Take away Lebron's power dunk game and what do you got?

Durant can light you up from anywhere on the floor and he can do that now...@ 20!

So yea I think he could, KEYWORD could, be better than Lebron.
