who isnt a contender a week into the season though? NO, its not like the Grizz had this destiny to win a championship or anything, but nobody is out of it this early so Im not sure you can call it at this point.

I would just tell her man. It would be a lot worse if you lied about it.

The Knicks organization wont care about their team until free agency. So they should make the move. A.I. in New York would at least have people interested in the Knicks

There are a lot of teams that need scoring out there. Let's be hopeful.

I can really see Iverson playing with the Knicks this season. I mean he's still a great scorer but he doesn't have the leadership mentailty to make players around him better. Perfect example when he wanted leave Philly and ended up in Denver. Then gets traded for Chauncey Billups to play in Detroit. Detroit is where we saw him go downhill of course. He's a good piece to that New York team and Mike D'Antoni does'nt mind scoring the ball quickly at all.

Personally I have never cared for AI all that much throughout his career but I hope the Knicks sign him. Our team is pathetic and we could use his scoring and another guard, plus he'll be signed to a one year deal so it won't effect anything we try to do next summer.

                        Co-sign.

D'Antoni has said he's interested in signing AI, but is weighing the consequences as far as PT goes for the other guys. I don't care, bench Du Du, play Douglas, play Nate.

I agree, I despise Duhon this year. He gave an admirable performance last year but he's been useless this year.

at "it doesn't have to be a starting role"

Allen Iverson is not going to retire.

The guard is expected to clear waivers and become a free agent in a few days after reaching an agreement to part ways with the Grizzlies on Monday.

He was granted a leave of absence from the team on Nov. 7.

"There is absolutely no doubt that he still wants to play," Gary Moore, Iverson's personal manager, told Yahoo! Sports.

"There should be no doubt in anyone's mind. He will be working out every day until he hears from someone."

Moore added that Iverson would agree to come off the bench if he signs with a contending team.

"It doesn't have to be a starting role if it's the right situation, right circumstances," Moore said.

What's the right situation and circumstances for Iverson?

Is he dictating what he wants yet and still?

Re: AI/Grizzlies agree to terminate contract

The Knicks would actually be a very sensible spot for AI.

The Knicks do not care about this season.

they have no lottery pick, and they will not do anything to jeopardize the money that is coming off of the books, heading into this off season's buying spree...they could go 1-81 for all they care.

Iverson can come here, play a million minutes, jack up all of the shots he wants, show he still has some juice left..and get one last multi-year deal.

Knicks can sell a few more tickets, it'll cost them virtually nothing, and they have no long term commitment.
